We are going to be working with a children's pharmaceutical brand over the next few months and would like to find out what you think about them before we start.

This survey is open to all UK MNers who have at least one child aged 0-12.

Please click here to complete the survey

All respondents will be entered into a prize draw where one winner will win a £150 voucher of their choice (from a list).

Thanks and good luck with the prize draw!

All done.

There's no option for why you choose branded over generic. For me it's simply because non branded bottles don't have the little stopper, so it's difficult and messy to use a syringe, and there is zero hope of getting my toddler to take it with a spoon.

llamawearingasombrero · 16/05/2019 12:47

It is none of Mumsnet business how we earn money 😡

@Thisistheendgame you can usually take the syringe attachment out of an old calpol/whatever bottle and put it in the own brand one, they have all had the same sized bottles whenever I've tried.

We buy own brand because it's cheaper and they all have the same doses legally anyway. None is superior to the other.

Kaddm · 17/05/2019 20:56

Was going to complete until the money question. Didn’t even read the multiple choice responses. It’s not appropriate.

ThisIsTheEndgame · 17/05/2019 21:20

The money question is standard on surveys. Companies want to know what answers are given by different socioeconomic groups, to help them tailor their advertising.

It's none of your business how families earn their money. We are not socialists.

RainbowMum11 · 19/05/2019 22:28

I have completed it but we have a strong suspicion that DD is allergic to ibuprofen - she came out in an awful rash last time I gave it to her a few years ago, haven't given it to her since, but didn't have the opportunity to explain why I wouldn't ever buy/use it...

bluebananababe · 20/05/2019 17:20

Despite the name, I don't buy calpol. It's own brand for us because it's cheaper.

calpoppincalpol · 21/05/2019 11:14

Just buy the cheaper store brand equivalent. They are all the same legally set doses anyway.
Asda paracetamol baby £1.95
Calpol baby £3.50

All for 100ml
