Father’s Day is fast approaching, and we want to find out a bit more about how Mumsnet users celebrate it - whether fathers enjoy the day, and what the ideal Father’s Day looks like.

This survey is open to Mumsnet users who:

  • have at least one child aged 1 year or older;
  • live in the UK or Ireland;
  • are fathers themselves OR are willing to ask their children’s father some questions about their ideal Father’s Day.

NB: If your children have a stepfather with whom they live and see in a paternal role, feel free to ask him these questions!

Click here to complete the survey.

Thanks and good luck,

Er, what is the prize? It doesn't say.

My two female cousins always have better luck than me in the romantic stakes

Ones engaged to her first love and live together and the other lives with girlfriend.

I should be happy for them but I'll admit I'm jealous, however ones now single and moving back home.

Maybe I'm bored of the 'look' and being told 'your turn next'

But does that make me a horrible person?
Does anyone else understand how I feel?

Yourmentalhealth did you post on the wrong thread?

There wasn't an option for a dad who works on Sundays or a dad who works nights.

Done. Some pretty antiquated values insinuated in there though.

When you say how old are you do you mean me, answering on behalf of DH, or DH? It’s not clear. I’ve gone with me as I said earlier it was me answering on behalf of DH ( who thought he was going to get some kind of score or personality profile at the end - when he found out it wasn’t that kind of questionnaire he said “Are you giving away all this info for free?!”
