It's a great idea, I didn't know about it till I saw other children go up to it in Tesco.

The baskets are always empty when I've been shopping at Tesco

OuchBollocks · 05/05/2017 06:10

It's brilliant, DD (much to my surprise) loves and eats the little apples. They had a selection of berries the other day which was a real treat too. Please keep it up Tesco! Like a pp, 'walking to tesco' is often our trip out and the fruit is a bonus.

Proudmummytodc2 · 05/05/2017 11:06

Filled it in my DS and DD love going to Tesco now.

I used to have a fight going shopping but now they are asking me to go shopping for this free fruit despite me having loads of fruit at home they like the idea of getting the fruit while shopping.

My whole shopping experience is better overall now it's great.

Just filled it in but made an error in my email address! Should be connect.com at the end not connext.com

Done

SailAwayWithMeHoney · 06/05/2017 07:52

They don't do this where I live, but I think it's a great idea!

Absolutely love it, it puts us all in a good mood as we start our shop. Tesco win as I don't feel the need to rush round the shop as much (and therefore spend more money), I win as I have happy, smiley children. Good all round.

We have a massive Tesco nearby that we go in sometimes (normally get delivery instead as we don't drive) and I had no idea about the scheme! Would definitely make use of it though

TitsalinaBumSquash · 07/05/2017 22:03

I think it's a great idea, some families absolutely take the pee by taking whole armfuls despite the signs so I'm not sure how long it will last!
It would be nice to see some veggies too, carrots/sugar snaps/cucumber as an option, oh and the bananas are usually green but staff are always happy to swap with one off the shelf for my daughter who loves a banana to munch in the trolley.

I'm aware that these points are just me being fussy though, I'm very grateful for the free fruit that the kids get to enjoy. Smile
