It just doesn't work with the way I use MN. I mostly use TIO, and on the mobile/desktop site that shows me a snapshot of the last few posts, so I can see whether the thread has moved on in an interesting way, and then go straight to the last post I haven't read. On the app it will show me how many total posts there have been so I have to remember how many posts there were last time I read it? and then if I click on it it takes ages to load, then I have to scroll all the way down to the bottom of the thread or flip it which takes ages again, then find out that the ten new posts all say " good luck OP"

Am I missing something? Is there a way to use TIO on the app without it taking forever?

Would'veikrd more of an opportunity to mention glitches - like its over-propensity to open links if you happen to touch one while scrolling through (which on occasion makes me unintentionally open Daily Mail links ). This kicks you out of the app - which may or may not still be open when you go back (immediately) to it. If it's shut, and you were in the middle of a really long thread/discussion, it can take ages to find your place again. Or even, you might not find the thread again at all if it was in Active Convos and you can't remember which topic it was in - especially given the lack of an advanced search.

Enquiringminge when you open TIO you see the little speech bubbles with the number of responses on.

If there have been more replies it will be white. If there have been no replies since you last looked, it's blue.

Also they are stacked in order of when there was last a comment so that helps too

Oh that's helpful thanks BOOP. Still stuck with having to open them up individually to see whether the new comments say anything worth noting though.
