We'd love folks on MN and Gransnet to please complete a survey on the factors you consider when getting treatment in a hospital. It is open to all UK Mumsnetters who have had treatment themselves, or have a family member directly in their care who has had treatment in a hospital in the last 5 years. Note the survey is also open to Gransnetters and there's one winner across all entries.

Here's the link: www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/MFV59LF

Everyone who takes part will be entered into a prize draw where one winner will receive a £300 Love2Shop voucher.

Thanks and good luck with the prize draw!

Done! I reflected on an emergency over night stay and felt it was relevant

I have filled it in and we have regular hospital admissions both emerge and planned due to my child's illness. There isn't a choice of hospital for treatment. ( luckily I am happy with the one we use)
In my experience it is the small things you may as when in hospital for a length of time, food, privacy, lack of Internet and phone signal.

Done - nice and quick!

Little point in me completing the survey as N/A would have to be my choice of answer to all the questions. I'd passed out with (what was later to be diagnosed as) a serious illness and was taken into hospital as an emergency. I have little no/little recollection of my many weeks there so perhaps the survey could have been better written to include emergency patients.

I have however completed it ...

It's very sad that some hospitals just don't seem to give the same level of care as some others. Something should be done to bring care levels to the same 1st class standard.

My DD has been admitted to hospital in an emergency many times. We are within 30 mins of 2 hospitals both with A&E depts and both in the same county but we are always taken to the one in the County town rather than the other which is actually slightly nearer. We are never asked which one we want to go to - the Paramedics decide and it is always the same one. So not a matter of choice for us.
