We have been asked to conduct a survey to understand more about children's mobile phones.

If you have a child aged 5-17 years old, who either already has a mobile phone or is planning to get a mobile phone in the next 6 months, please let us know your views on some functions that you can use to help control when they make calls, texts, and data usage.

Agree. Phone with no data access here. £12 phone with £10 of data for the emergencies. Top of range iPod for fun.

Control use via wifi password at home. No wifi at school or on bus. Works for us.

My child doesn't have data access but no option box for this.

My DC does have a phone, mainly because she plays out and goes to and from school on her own and I wanted her to have some means of contacting us in an emergency. But it is the most basic of the basic and she doesn't bother with it when she's at home. I've ended up having to leave half the questions blank because they are irrelevant.

Done. Not a very good survey Imo.didn't give me anywhere to explain I already use an app (screentime) that means I can control my ds phone and block email, Internet, calls and messages as and when I choose to.

Mine are the same redsky. No option for this type of phone use in survey.

Done but once selected 'not at all interested' still asked questions about when I'd use something and no option for 'never'. You're making assumptions that everyone would have some interest.

My son has pay as you go so therefore only has internet at home when he connects to the wifi.
