We'd like to know what you think about your experience of grandparents providing regular childcare for your children.

This survey is open to all UK Mumsnet users who use their child's grandparents for regular childcare for a child/children aged 0-11.

As a thank you, all respondents (who leave their details at the end) will be entered into a prize draw in which one MNer will win a £100 Amazon voucher.

Here's the link www.surveymonkey.com/s/CFRN3GC

Thanks and good luck

I have used my mother for the majority of my childcare needs up till recently but now my 2 boys are bigger and more of a handful its not fair to keep putting on her so im booking them into clubs which is not cheap! my mother in law will not have my two either as she already has the othet two grandchildren and according to her her daughters needs are greater than mine!

I went back to work 3 days a week when my boys were 3 and 1. The eldest went to nursery 2 days a week and 1 day at nannies and my youngest went to nannies the whole time- 2 sets- they job shared ;) He then slowly started one day then 2 and finally 3 days when he got to 3 years old. I wouldn't of been able to afford the childcare without them. They now have them in the school hols for me. Nannies are a God send!

Mum was wonderful when she was alive, we had adopted two children but before the adoption they could only be left with a very few trusted people.Although I didnt work she gave us both timeout to recharge her batteries. "this unpaid grandmother" was a godsend and my daughters have very fond memories of her

our grandparents are too inform to look after younger children - in fact its more a case of us looking after children and them.
Why expect grandparents to look after your kids, they've done their duty with you, let them enjoy being older and freer, not tie them down so we pursue mortgage repayments.

I do as much as I can when I can as I also work.

Bah, survey's closed :( The grandparents have our son a day each a week and he has a day at nursery. It works brilliantly and everyone benefits.
