As you may know we have been working with Oxfam and Unilever to showcase their efforts with the work currently being undertaken via their partners Trussell Trust and FareShare with foodbanks in the UK. All together the support from Unilever is worth over 2 million meals to those in need.

One of the questions asked how easy did I feel it was to donate. They're often at the supermarket so its very easy however I couldn't pick a day and know I'd be able to donate as they might not be there iyswim. I alo think having individuals going round and picking out what they think is needed is incredibly inefficient, even if from a list. Surely it would be bwtter for ppl to donate cash. That said donation values are.possibly higher when its goods rather than cash.

I agree Stealth. I want to donate, but, as an agoraphobic I can't get to a supermarket or indeed anywhere else to donate.

Being able to donate money (one off amounts as well as regular amounts) would be really useful.

I do my shopping online with tesco and it would be good to have an option to buy something online to donate.

I started filling this in, but lost the will when asked about using my freezer to meal plan/batch cook.

I do not have a freezer!! I may be one of the few people in the Western world without one, but there is not space in my kitchen.

Then I got annoyed with the assumptions of a multinational corporation and the need for food banks in the first place, so gave up.

I just want to add that I once was over stocked on several cupboard items including some dried 'pasta n sauce' (about 10 packets that I had got on a really good special offer) & realised they would go out of date before I could possible use them.
I gave them to my local salvation army & they were happy to have them.
So you don't have to always 'specially buy' the items you give.
