As we all know, the impact of a cancer diagnosis can become a very significant issue for many families, particularly those with young children. AXA PPP healthcare is asking for help from Mumsnetters to evaluate its new solution and identify areas in which it can best engage, inform and interact with parents in this highly sensitive area.

We'd like MNers in the UK to complete this survey to give them some feedback. Please note this includes a requirement to get a quote from AXA PPP - this involves using dummy details and should only take a few minutes - during the survey you will be asked to visit their website and enter the dummy details.

Please note, as the survey is on the topic of women’s health and cancer, some of the questions may be of a potentially sensitive nature.

The online quote didn't work as there wasn't an address.

I've since tried to get a quote for myself and the website kept timing out.

Gah. AXA might just have lost a customer.

The address to ages to be found, just realised I didn't complete the survey after getting the quote.

I just made it up and it accepted it. Odd!

Ha! but won't accept fake bank details!

Rubbish site! You have to add in loads of details if you want to add family. The only way of filling the form out without loads of extra fake data than that provided is to avoid adding kids or partners in. I gave up after being timed out twice.

I started filling this in yesterday and gave up when I discovered I'm not eligible, having already had cancer. My travel insurance covers me for anything except the specific cancer I had, and my oncologist tells me I'm no more likely to have a different kind of cancer than anyone else.

When you read the exclusions of this policy it will not cover early stage cancer, and if your parents or siblings have had cancer you get reduced cover.

As for the other benefits, cancer is fast-tracked by the NHS. The protocol is 2 weeks. You automatically get access to a specialist nurse who knows your own particular condition, plus anyone can contact Macmillan.

The only people who would benefit would be those who get no sick pay from work, or if your child was ill and you had to take unpaid leave. But I'm sure other policies cover such scenarios.

Where you need medical insurance is for non life-threatening conditions where you will have to wait for months. This seems to be preying on people's fears of the Big C.

I tried to do it using the fake details we were instructed to use and it wouldn't give me a quote so I'm afraid I gave up...too much like hard work for this busy time of the year!

Done but don't see the point of getting a fake quote for a fake person. Although I'm guessing a quote for middle aged me would not be anywhere near as "cheap".

It doesn't like me either - thankfully I've not had cancer but I've had a pre cancerous lump.

I think you need to be clear - are you looking for people to test your website (in which case you should say that people should put in fake clinical details) or are you trying to get accurate quotes for testers?

I'm going to report my own post to MNHQ - obviously this has just gone live but I think, if you are really going to get the maximum benefit from testers, you need to make it clear what you want to get out of it.

Of course if this is just a ploy to get people to consider cover then you'll want to disregard this post!
