I agree with Calamitous, age of child really depends on what they get up to out of school etc. My DDs have phones but only so that they can contact us when away with their grandparents. PIL are notoriously unreliable with their own phones!

completed, though I use unique e-mail addresses for any websites I use, so not the same as would be stored on MN (but may have some similarities!).

I use spamgourmet.com which means that if a spammer hacked a site (or the site sold my mail address and it ended up with a spammer eventually, there's a (low) limit to the number of messages received before they are just gobbled (unless I whitelist wanted sender, even their messages can be 'eaten' and never get through to me).
