We've been asked to find UK MNers to complete a short survey -who either now or in the past have had or are having time out (to raise/ have) children from the paid workplace*.

This includes:
~ Mums to be who are now pregnant: (for the first or subsequent time) - AND who plan to take or are taking an extended break from paid work after having the baby (more than standard maternity/paternity/parental leave)

~ Or mothers / fathers who are currently on extended maternity / paternity leave or who are taking a break from paid work (regardless of plans to go back or not) or

~ Mothers / fathers who have taken extended break from paid work after having children (and are now back in paid work/ self employment)

Obviously we all have different experiences of work/ having children but if this is you please do take a few minutes to complete this survey.

Here's the link: www.surveymonkey.com/s/LYS7JNB

Everyone who completes the survey and adds their details at the end will be entered into a prize draw where one winner will get a £100 voucher for the store of your choice.

Thanks and good luck.

thread title is confusing though

"Have you ever taken or are you planning a career break to care for children?" might be better. The SAHP bit is a confusing headline imho.

No problem - I nearly didn't click because I thought it didn't apply to me, and thought I wouldn't be the only one, esp on app where you only get the first few words of a thread title in Active.

Must read, not just skim.

Just filled it in. I have to work until I'm 67, long after DH has retired. He'd better have my dinner on the table when I get home.

Pointed out in the comments that there is no answer for long term illness that may affect my possibility of returning to work, but I have no idea of the extent until it happens. :)
