Casabu the flash sales website for parents, would like to know what's important to you when shopping online for you and your DC.

This survey is open to all UK MNers who have at least one child aged 0-6 years, or who are pregnant. You must also have shopped online for yourself and/or your child(ren) in the last six months.

Everyone who takes part in this survey will receive a code which entitles them to £5 off two separate transactions at Casabu.com, everyone will also be entered into a prize draw where one winner will receive a £250 Amazon voucher.

To take part in the survey click here

Thanks and good luck with the prize draw.

no Flash Sale means it's a sale that has a really big discount for a really short period of time. (in theory)

Just as well I read this thread as otherwise would have thought it was about Adobe Flash on websites. Which I hate.
Though this sounds like Groupon and other sites that promise discounts but in reality just clog up my life with spam, sorry, carefully selected mail... I wish sites had a 'don't mail me more than once every 3 months' option - selecting either daily or weekly mails doesn't count IMO.

Casabu has asked me to let you know if anyone has been having problems with the voucher code, they have fixed it and the code casabuMN5 will now be working.

There was no code, I feel this was quite a cynical ploy to get our email addresses, or is that just me? There's not even a link to their website or a thanks for taking part in the survey. I better not be bombarded with emails as I have NO interest in any Groupon like websites at all...

Report
KatieBMumsnet · 24/05/2012 14:49

Please don't worry dutchjennie we're not passing on your email addresses, the only email address we will pass on is that of the prize winner and this is only so the Amazon voucher can be sent. The discount code was at the end of the survey, which I have copied here for you:

"16. Thank you for completing this survey. All data will be kept confidential. To enter the prize draw where one winner will receive a £250 Amazon voucher please add your details below. These details will only be used to select and notify the winner and not for any other purpose. You will not receive any marketing as a result of this survey.
As a thank you to everyone who has taken part in this survey, Casabu would like to offer you a £5 off voucher code for Casabu.com - at the check out please use the code: casabuMN5 (if you want to use the code make a note of it now!)

This voucher code can be used on two separate purchases, so in total you could get £10 off."

links for the survey aren't working - I just go round in circles between this page and another MN page.

HipHopOpotomus - it's because you've already filled in the survey so it won't let you go back in - it will just direct you to the end page which is the MN insight page. Do you need to go back in to change something?

One question about the site that wasnt asked in the survey

"Would you sign up to a site that you couldnt browse before entering email info etc?"

No I wouldnt, which is why I havent. I like to make sure the site will be of interest to me before I sign up to it and not just hand out my personal info to marketeers!

I am disappointed that the "flash" element of this website wasn't explained properly. I sign upo to groupon, and in theory wouldn't mind being a member of another similar website - but casabu has very limited stock. I have now logged in and will get bloody annoying emails about the same 12 items of fairly expensive stock.

grrrr.
