Mumsnet have been asked by The Co-operative to find out your views on their business, as well as some themes around shopping in general, and attitudes towards ethics.

The Co-operative will be interacting with the Mumsnet community in the coming months, and they are initially interested in what Mumsnetters already feel about The Co-operative and any associations you already have with it.

Therefore, we would ask you to take 5 minutes to complete the survey. Please be assured that this short survey is anonymous and at no point will The Co-operative try to sell you anything.

The survey is open to all Mumsnetters in the UK.
Everyone who completes the survey and adds their details at the end will be entered into a prize draw. The Co-operative is offering one winner £500 in vouchers from a store of their choice.

Thanks and good luck.

Co-op!!! I hate the fact that I have to cart around yet another store card in order to collect my dividend! What was wrong with a "co-op number"??? .

And why are your Biscuit's so expensive???

LoveBeingAMardyBum · 28/10/2010 09:23

And why does the card machine ask me questions? I'm trying to pay, I have a two yr old trying to escape, I dont what to answer if i have a pet [hangry]

Cyclebump · 28/10/2010 11:43

Done!

Had to fill in no children though as I'm not sure a pregnancy bump counts...

Somerfield i nthe Forum in this town turned into the co-op, then they closed it when the lease ran out last month.

really very annoying, because I was soooo very excited when they merged!

It also means they're now going to open a tesco in its place - so the most ethical and wonderful shop is being replaced by the least ethical, most profiteering gits in the world.

I just wanted to second gillybean2's comments. In general, I like the Co-op's ethical stance but I wish it stocked more organic produce and that the food didn't contain as many additives. (Tbh I'm a bit shocked by the price/quality in general. But there was nowhere to say that on the survey.)

And according to this thread, the Co-op treats its dairy farmers shoddily. Can the Co-op answer that point, please MN? And why an ethical shop would stock the Sport? Hmm

Bet they'll be delighted that they set up this survey...

We've shown The Co-operative the questions and comments some of you have made on this thread and they are very grateful for all feedback. Where possible they have sent the comments to the relevant teams for action. Some of the points raised will be...

GeeWhizz · 29/10/2010 20:21

All done now. Our Co-op is always friendly and it is right next to school so I do go in a lot!!

Blu · 29/10/2010 20:29

I love the co-op. An improvement on the horrible Scummerfield in every way.

I should put it in my will that I want a co-op funeral - our divi number was one of my first words!

CaptainKirksNipples · 31/10/2010 20:53

Done, I use the coop when I go to visit the in laws but we don't have one closer to use all the time!

avelte · 31/10/2010 23:55
