NOW CLOSED: Complete a survey for The Co-operative about your views on their business, shopping in general and ethics - you could win £500 in vouchers

Mumsnet have been asked by The Co-operative to find out your views on their business, as well as some themes around shopping in general, and attitudes towards ethics.

The Co-operative will be interacting with the Mumsnet community in the coming months, and they are initially interested in what Mumsnetters already feel about The Co-operative and any associations you already have with it.

Therefore, we would ask you to take 5 minutes to complete the survey. Please be assured that this short survey is anonymous and at no point will The Co-operative try to sell you anything.

The survey is open to all Mumsnetters in the UK.
Everyone who completes the survey and adds their details at the end will be entered into a prize draw. The Co-operative is offering one winner £500 in vouchers from a store of their choice.

Thanks and good luck.

QOD · 23/10/2010 20:48

ooooh I love our local co op

SoMuchToBats · 23/10/2010 20:55

I have done this, but I still want to know why the Co-op in the East of England sold out all their department stores to a company called Vergo, who never bothered at all with the stores, and they then went into liquidation. So our (previously lovely) Co-op department store in Ipswich, which had a great toy department amongst others, has now closed down, leaving Debenhams as our only department store in our County town.

Also, why don't Co-op in the East of England have the same loyalty card as other Co-ops? Even though the small stores sell the same food etc. My Mum's card (Kent) works interchangeably with my sister's (Aberystwyth) and yet mine (Ipswich) only works in the East of England Hmm Confused

SoMuchToBats - we have different divvy card schemes operating in the town in which I live. One co-op subscribes to Nottinghamshire and the others all to Lincolnshire. Madness imo.

In addition to the issues raised in the survey, I'd also be interested to discuss how the Co-op interact with their UK suppliers.

TigerFeet, yes would be better if they all did the same thing IMO. I like the idea of Co-op but it needs to work on a practical level. Just hate the fact our department stores sold out, and what was a good store just got run down and closed. Sad

MaryMotherOfCheeses · 23/10/2010 22:08

Done.

I have to say those suggestions for MN discussions bored the pants off me.

But they'd probably kick off so some owuld like them.

toomuchmonthatendofthemoney · 23/10/2010 22:21

done. but when i clicked on the bit to end the survey, i didn't get a "thank you, survey complete" type of message, it just took me straight out to the home page again.

did it do this for anyone else? or did it not work right and i need to do it again?

ps that could buy a LOT of co-op yummy shortbread and choc chip cookies, my favs!

MrsKitty · 23/10/2010 22:32

Co-op do the yummiest sticky toffee pudding in the whole world (IMO) Grin

FiveGoMadInDorset · 23/10/2010 23:16

It didn't allow me to moan anywhere that they charge the most for milk but pay their producers the least amount of money. I fully expect you to ignore this post.0

AnnMumsnet · 23/10/2010 23:17

FiveGoMadInDorset · 23/10/2010 23:29

And I haven't done it on principle which must be a new concept for the Co-Op

Curiousmama · 24/10/2010 08:26

fivegomad I'm sure if you contact CO-OP they'd reply? I've just complained to Asda by email (to do with exploding soup!)

AnnMumsnet · 24/10/2010 09:31

fivegomad...our contact at the co-op have been sent a link to this thread.
