Ok, been grinding coffee. All well and good but the seal being detachable made it fall off as I was putting the blade on and it got tangled & half melted the blade bit (not the seal oddly) before i noticed.

Thanks for the reply Ann. Just glad you're not tardy like me

I had the hand blender with the 'big foot' attachment for saucepan blending. Overall it was an adequate blender and worked well.

I expected a bigger blade in the big foot attachment not the same sized one as in the ordinary attachment.

The blender seemed to make things frothy rather than liquidising them and the froth seemed to stay for a long time (partic. strawberries).

I would have liked a beaker to use the blender in as opposed to trying to find a jug it fitted in with high enough sides to prevent splashing.

It did blend really quickly though and would be a good entry level blender for doing simple weaning recipes. I've been spoilt though as my usual blender is a Bamix with all attachments.....
