Does your child have head lice right now? Would you like to try the award winning Nitty Gritty Comb, and then add feedback on Mumsnet?

We've been asked by Nitty Gritty to find 50 Mumsnetters who have at least one child who has head lice right now, who don't currently have a Nitty Gritty Comb and who would like to try one.

Nitty Gritty was started and is still run by 3 mums who went through head lice hell with their own daughters. They found that most products on the market didn't work and so they developed their own range of chemical free products. The Nitty Gritty Comb is a state of the art nit comb, with special micro-grooved teeth which remove both the lice and their eggs and can be used with ordinary conditioner. Nitty Gritty now want to enlist the help of the Mumsnet community for some honest testing and feedback.

For more information on Nitty Gritty click here.

As time is of the essence with head lice, the first 50 Mumsnetters who complete this form will be sent a Nitty Gritty comb (worth £10.99) to try as soon as possible - we will be downloading names and addresses daily and passing them onto Nitty Gritty for immediate dispatch. Naturally you can keep the comb for any future uses .

If you are sent a comb as part of this trial, we ask that you then return to Mumsnet to complete a short survey with your views and experiences of the comb.

Everyone who is part of this test, tries the comb and who completes the short feedback survey, will be entered into a prize draw where one winner will receive a £100 Amazon voucher, a full set of Nitty Gritty products (worth £30) PLUS a half price discount voucher for the Nitty Gritty Comb for every family in their school (to be redeemed on the Nitty Griity website)

HOWEVER - We know that many Mumsnetters have already used the Nitty Gritty Comb so even if you are not part of this trial, we'd love you to still complete the feedback survey - we will enter you into a separate prize draw where you could win a full set of Nitty Gritty products (worth £30) PLUS a half price discount voucher for the Nitty Gritty Comb for every family in your school (to be redeemed on the Nitty Griity website) if you add your feedback. Just keep an eye out for the feedback thread in a week or so.

Thanks and good luck (with the head lice as well as the product test!)

WOW that was fast... more than 60 volunteers in less than a day - guess there are quite a few itchy heads out there. Not sure what the etiquette of asking you to wait for a day before treating - but the addresses have been sent over so the combs should be sent out today or first thing in the morning.

Good luck all and look out for the feedback survey.

Lots of conditioner, a decent one, and it does not damage the hair.

In fact, because of the conditioner, my DD's hair always looks lovely after a bout of lice.

In their defence, I ordered a comb at 4pm and it arrived the next morning at 8am
