Wanted: five families to test-drive a new Ford

Fancy test-driving a brand new Ford for three weeks over Christmas? If you do, then please sign up using this link.

Everyone who signs up will be entered into a prize draw to win one of ten £50 John Lewis vouchers.

And if you're selected for the test-drive, you'll get £100 John Lewis vouchers in addition to motoring in a new Ford with all mod cons.

Good luck,
MNHQ

I think my car is arriving tuesday.

Have you been given any information on what is expected from the video diary?

My car comes on Monday, no sign of vouchers yet either. Did you get a letter from Ford. I got one but they didn't put the attachment in with 'useful information'. Just wondered if I needed to contact them or not.

Hmm, useful information sounds useful doesn't it.

No letter here, just the original phonecall, then another to arrange the drop off date.

I didnt get a letter either justthe first phone call the a call from Fords to arrange a delivery date.
The video comes with the car so i am reliably told and there will be a tips booklet regarding the video diary.
If i'm honest, im a bit worried about the video diary!

I am really panicking about the video diary. In my wisdom I have taken on 5 weeks shop work over Christmas. Doing 6am-10am shifts, so if ever before I thought I looked old, haggard and tired then treble that at the moment. That and always wearing the same clothes..... God I am so shallow but HELLLLLLP.

Panicking so much I have posted twice . Nevergoogle are you that because of doing this - sorry to sound cryptic but I am sure you know what I mean. We are on the Ford web page as well so I was pondering changing slightly.

Nevergoogle · 20/12/2009 20:11

Yes, have temporarily namechanged in the interest of not upsetting anyone.

I'm working lots over christmas too and have an essay and presentation to write so i'm sure the video diary will be riveting stuff.

Wags · 20/12/2009 20:27

Ah, so used to your name never gave that a thought about causing offence. Still may change slightly.

Mine is stuck on the M25. Getting really worried for the woman bringing it here. Even if she does get it here she has to get to Kings Cross. I was going to take her to the local station but think I might have problems getting her there. Charing Cross sounds like it's having problems, about to check Victoria out. Spare bed is made up......!!!

Still no call from my woman. Roads round here are gridlocked. She must be sooo fed up sat on the M25. How ghastly for her .

Nevergoogle · 21/12/2009 19:07

How is she getting home?

In fact, how is the man delivering mine getting home. I live miles from anywhere.

Swagger · 21/12/2009 19:35

Just heard from her. She was completely stuck for half hour, RAC refused to come out as they said they would also get stuck. Finally got going but has gone on alternative route which is more cross country. We have directed her back to main roads. She is only about half hour away, I think it will take her hours. She has had a coffee in a pub. I will offer her to stay here, we have a spare room made up for MIL but she can go in DD's room on hideaway bed. But I am hopeful we can get her on train to Victoria. Oops she is on phone again to DH sounds like she is going round in circles. , poor woman she is so lovely and cheerful.

Nevergoogle · 21/12/2009 19:46

Poor woman.

With any luck she might refuse to come and collect it again in 3 weeks.

Hi!

My Car is coming tomorrow- yay!!

I feel very sorry for the Ford man though- he called tonight and he was lovely but he has to drive up here (Edinburgh) from Cambridge tomorrow and he said he is aiming to be here by 9am (we have about 1.5 feet of snow) and then he has to get the train to Inverness and then drive halfway back to Cambridge I told him I expected him to be late and that would be fine!

I hadn't remembered that we were meant to get JL vouchers- wow am so pleased about that!! Maybe we won't get them till the end!
Could really do with them!
