Hi all

Another lovely product test for you. We're looking for 200 families to test a new sort of apple crisps called Snapz. Snapz are zero-fat and 100% natural with no added sugar or preservatives. If selected to take part you'll be sent a few packets of the crisps and then asked to fill in a short online feedback questionnaire. Everyone who completes the questionnaire will be entered into a draw to win £250. In order to take part you need to have at least one child (aged at least 6 months) and live in the UK.

If you're interested in taking part, please sign up here

If you haven't heard from us by July 20th we're sorry but you haven't been selected.

Thanks and good luck

I had to go oick mine up from the parcel sorting office as I missed them last week.

Nice but know I would have preferred the cinnamon ones.

No one else in my house tried them yet., just me . . .

McDreamy · 20/07/2009 17:25

I got mine today, cinnamon ones. Children didn't like them, I thought they were ok and managed to finish the packet. DH to try when he gets home!

Testers should have received the email today with the link for the survey - pls let us know if you've not had it!
Thanks to those who've added feedback so far

I got an email today too, also a note from the postman telling me they are holding something for me at the sorting office as the postage needs to be paid! Hope that isnt the crisps.

AnnMumsnet · 21/07/2009 08:21

EccentricaGallumbits - you're not late - everyone who was selected was emailed today - have you had the product?
Gloomysue - do let us know the status if you need to pay postage and we'll sort that out if needed!

I got mine over the weekend. The letter with them said we should have a mix of plain and cinnamon however I had 6 packs of cinnamon. My kids weren't keen either. The youngest just stuck his tongue out and said yuk. DD said there was too much lemon. I thought they were ok dh said there was too much cinnamon on his.

bubblagirl · 21/07/2009 08:36

i got e mail saying i've been selected but have no product as yet only got e mail yesterday and said product was on its way so i'll wait for postman to arrive

ButterbeerAndLemon · 21/07/2009 08:50

Mine arrived yesterday and we've eaten them all already. We all liked them although DH finished his packet (we had plain) and said "these would be better with cinnamon or something like that"

bubblagirl · 21/07/2009 11:17

i had message put through my door couldnt deliver my item as i need to pay 2.41 for postage for it

AnnMumsnet · 21/07/2009 12:33

bubblagirl - is that definitely the product? if so please pay it and we'll refund the money - get a receipt (pls email me with all the details (insight @ mumsnet. com) inc. your nickname!

gloomysue · 21/07/2009 13:13

Do they come in a brown box? Only I had a card saying I owe £2.41 and when dh went down to the sorting office he told them to send it back so now I have no crisps to try.

ButterbeerAndLemon · 21/07/2009 15:30

Yes, a brown box around the size of a large shebox.

bubblagirl · 22/07/2009 08:34

anything else comes in dp name so can only be that parcel

spicemonster · 22/07/2009 10:39

I've got mine but wasn't expecting them! Haven't had the email (and have checked my trash bin and it's not in there either). No luck with getting my DS to eat one but will try again later. I thought they were quite tasty. Will try them on the other children I have coming round to wreak havoc play later

VinegarTits · 22/07/2009 12:32

Got mine they taste like apple flavoured cardboard, very very sweet and not a nice texture

My ds2 wouldnt even try one, they look like old bits of apple someone has sweeped off the floor

2 of my work collegues just ried them and both spat it out

hey ho, off to write my review

mummyhill · 22/07/2009 16:53

Filled in the survey but it doesn't seem to be particularly well laid out there is nowhere really to put in comments about taste, texture etc. because non of the questions really ask for your opinion on these factors.

EccentricaGallumbits · 22/07/2009 19:29

I still have no apple crisps and i'm starting to feel a bit peckish.

whomovedmychocolate · 22/07/2009 19:33

I think there was a bit of a mess-up Ann - all the boxes came out with a note that said they had a mix of apple and cinammon and just apple but you actually got just one variety.

In any case, got em, scoffed em (in cheese sandwiches) and did the feedback form. Hurrah!

SammyK · 22/07/2009 22:23

Crisps eaten by all and survery filled in. Was expecting a lot more to the survey TBH, they have sent out crisps presumably to every family member of 200 households, a large expense for very basic feedback.

Nothing about taste, texture, packaging appeal, etc.

Not that I minded the short survey - was just surprised!
