This is the feedback thread for the Mumsnet users who have been testing Tommee Tippee’s new Made for Me Double Electric Breast Pump.

Here’s what Tommee Tippee has to say: “Breastfeeding may be the most natural thing in the world, but that doesn’t necessarily make it easy. That's why we’ve dedicated a range of products designed to suit every need. Boobs, pads, pumps or bottles, there’s a Tommee Tippee product designed to suit you however, wherever and whenever you feed. Our Double Electric Breast Pump is small, discreet and mighty quiet, this is the breast pump for busy mums who just want to get on with things. Simply charge it up, get comfortable and pump away using the 5 massage and 9 express modes to find the one that’s right for you. With MassageTec cups, made of soft, cushioned silicone that’s gentle on your breasts, this pump provides a comfortable way to mimic your baby’s latch-on and stimulate milk flow. We hope you enjoy using it and would love to hear your feedback.’’

  1. What did you particularly like about Tommee Tippee’s Made for Me Double Electric Breast Pump?
It's a very comfortable and quick pump to use. Far less noisy than other electric ones I have tried in the past.
  1. How comfortable was the Double Electric breast pump to use?

More comfortable than other pumps, the shields are very soft and using a double meant not having to worry about catching milk running off the other side!

  1. Would you recommend the Double Electric breast pump to others? What advice would you give them?

I would recommend this pump to others and would advise them to buy a pumping bra as being able to use two hands is helpful. I'd also say if possible not to go overboard with pumping at first to allow the body to get used to the feeling.

  1. Do you plan on continuing to use the Double Electric breast pump?

Yes definitely. It has made emptying my breasts so quick and easy in comparison to the manual pump I have been using since my last electric pump have up!

  1. What did you particularly like about Tommee Tippee’s Made for Me Double Electric Breast Pump?

I loved the convenience of it being wireless. Absolute game changer for me. I have a Medela Swing which I barely get out of the box as I find it such a faff, this was brilliant. I have a toddler and it meant I could still engage with her rather than being tethered to a plug. I have also pumped a lot more milk in this breastfeeding journey thanks to the TT pump!

  1. How comfortable was the Double Electric breast pump to use?

I found it really comfy. I have been coveting another leading brand’s double wireless pump but was absolutely thrilled with this one. I have always found breastfeeding comfortable and thankfully never suffered any issues so I find pumping comfortable too but the cups on this are SO much better than the hard plastic ones you get on other pumps.

  1. Would you recommend the Double Electric breast pump to others? What advice would you give them?

I would definitely recommend. I think it’s such a great option on the market, and affordable too. I got great levels of milk output from it and the freedom it gives is SO helpful with another child around. I would say that you need a pumping bra to really get the best use of it though.

  1. Do you plan on continuing to use the Double Electric breast pump?

Yes. My little girl is a bit funny about the bottle but the ease of pumping with this means I’m happier to persevere with trying!

  1. What did you particularly like about Tommee Tippee’s Made for Me Double Electric Breast Pump?
It’s really easy to set up and it’s quite compact so I didn’t feel like I was trailing cables everywhere. It’s also pretty quite so I could use it while watching tv without it being distracting.
  1. How comfortable was the Double Electric breast pump to use?
Really comfortable! I developed mastitis the day before it arrived and it was a huge help in clearing the blockage and helping me feel better. I was in a huge amount of pain but using the pump was no more painful than feeding DS was at the time.
  1. Would you recommend the Double Electric breast pump to others? What advice would you give them?
Definitely, I’d advise them to try to establish an expressing routine earlier than I have though. DS is already 8 months and it’s been difficult to find a time of day when there’s enough milk to pump while I’m not also looking after him.
  1. Do you plan on continuing to use the Double Electric breast pump?
Yes definitely. I’m due back and work soon so I’m trying to build up a supply in the freezer. DS has CMPA so it’s handy to have for weaning as well.

  1. What did you particularly like about Tommee Tippee’s Made for Me Double Electric Breast Pump?
That I don't need to have a million wires and be trapped for ages trying to express from each side. 1st time using a double pump after using a single Madela last time. Double pumping is definitely the way forward found I was pumping more volume too.
  1. How comfortable was the Double Electric breast pump to use?
very comfortable had no problems with the same seemed to fit comfortably over the nipple and breast.
  1. Would you recommend the Double Electric breast pump to others? What advice would you give them?
Yes will definite be recommending wouldnt go back or recommend a single pump and so much more quieter so doesn't disturb anyone!
  1. Do you plan on continuing to use the Double Electric breast pump?
Yes definitely! Its been a game changer!

I loved being able to use both pumps at same time, saved me some much needed time.
It was so comfortable to use and easily managed 30ml in about 6 minutes
I would 100% recommend this products to anybody

The Tommee Tippee’s Made for Me Double Electric Breast Pump is a perfect compact size to fit in my bag to carry with me to work. It’s so lovely and discreet that I even got to use it at the park whilst the children played at a picnic. Because of how silent it is it didn’t cause any distraction which I really admire. The suction on the pump is great so easy to adjust and I love how easy it was to get set up and get pumping.

I have to say, I have used quite a few pumps and this double electric breast pump has been the most comfortable. The silicone is so soft and smooth I couldn’t even feel it and it fits perfectly.

I would highly recommend the Tommy Tippee made for me double breast pump to everyone I speak to about breast pumps now given it’s compact size, ease of use, comfort when pumping and how silent it is when pumping. The options on the suction pump are also quite varied which makes pumping at different stages of your breastfeeding journey more suitable which I really appreciated in this pump.

I will be continuing to use this breast pump until the end of our breastfeeding journey and once finished I will be passing it on to the next member of the family who will be breastfeeding and hope to also then use it again when we have another baby and ready to use it.
