1. The texture is thick and smooth, which felt very nice to apply.

It spreads very easily and quickly over a large area with a single pump of product.
The pump dispenser is very useful too, as my child likes to be involved with applying cream, so I could monitor how much was used.

1. Yes, the product really had made a positive change in my childs skin. In general, she has very dry rough skin all over her torso/back, and bad eczema on her legs and arms. Now, the skin on her torso/back is smooth to touch throughout the day, and there has been significant improvement on her arms and legs. Her itching has gone from throughout the day and night, to the occasional small itch when she has got to hot or very tired.

1. There was an immediate improvement in my daughter's skin from the first night. I applied the product an hour before bed, and for the first time in a year, she didn't wake to scratch during the night. We were at a point where she would wake and cry and scratch for around an hour every single night, begging us to scratch her.

I was shocked at the results, and still am, as she hasn't needed scratching during the night since using the product (I am a La Roche Posay fan already and still can't believe how good this balm is!).

1. Yes, I already own the AP+, and yes there is a huge difference in the way it has worked with my child's skin. I bought the AP+ for use on my child, but saw no more improvement than other creams I had tried before on her, so wasn't using it on her, although I liked to use it on myself as it's great on my dry legs, but I don't suffer from eczema or itchy skin.

Yes, I believe there is a good improvement on the texture of the balm, mainly that the new AP+M is easier to spread on the skin, so applies more quickly and less product is needed. The original AP+ was very dense and harder to spread, feeling a bit like it was pulling the skin.

Texture light and non greasy. Easy to apply and no residue or ruined clothes like with our usual prescription ointments. However my son seemed to find it stung his skin - not sure if this is becase he was having a very bad flare up all over his legs and torso at the time we received the product and he had some broken skin.

Not as yet; we are trying again on a smaller patch where skin is less angry.
We would love to not be reliant on steroid or protopic ointments so really wanted this to work.

It was a really nice product to apply. It felt silky and was very easy to distribute well across the skin without dragging and then dried to a nice texture fairly soon after. It didn't drip. I could do a whole body application for my two year old at once, which made life easy.

2. Has using LIPIKAR Balm AP+M every day as part of your child’s routine improved your child’s overall skin condition?

Hard to say. His eczema was unusually almost absent when it arrived but came back in the usual patches soon after and several times during the weeks we used it.

With use of this product, the patches cleared up more quickly than using our usual products and his skin stayed really soft and well moisturised generally but his skin was more itchy, especially overnight and it was more uncomfortable on application. Scratching overnight seems to worsen his eczema, so if we use it in future we might need to use it alongside something that reduces itching for him.

Next day patches were less red and drying up a little except in areas he'd scratched

The texture was really easy to apply it wasn’t squirting all over the place and difficult to control like a lot of lotions we’ve tried. It was like a thick cream consistently. It dried quickly and I didn’t need to use masses of it to cover DDs skin.

It was very thick and rich. It went on smoothly and was easy to rub in. Unfortunately it left a greasiness on my hands and on their skin which needed washing off my hands and leaving to dry before they put their clothes on or let their hair down onto their backs.

My 6 year old's skin is in good condition. It helped her as much as Vaseline Intensive (the white lotion). My 4 year old it didn't help and we've gone back to Aveeno.

It helped my 6 year old from the first application. It probably took a couple of days for my 4 year old's skin to get worse and need 0.5% hydrocortisone cream.

I didn't use it before but, whilst the texture was great, the greasiness puts me off buying it again.

It’s very smooth and thick which makes it really easy to apply on a wriggly baby, pump onto the back of the land and begin the chase.

We’ve noticed he doesn’t get as red after baths and it does seem to help with irritation from dribbling over his more eczema prone areas.

Definitely. Before starting DS had dry flaky skin on his face, they have totally disappeared. He has little patches of eczema on his back and chest - they have improved and faded but not gone completely.
Also used it on my eldest daughter’s face and it go rid of a wee rough patch.

One thing - I have bad dermatitis on my hands and find it really stingy to apply. Obviously the baby doesn’t or he’d moan! But wouldn’t recommend to anyone with broken skin.

Yes, definitely. My son has extremely dry flaky skin all over his body and as long as I use it regularly, it makes a marked improvement. I can still feel the cream on his skin the following day.

It has certainly helped. My son still has frequent itching and his eczema hasn't gone away, but the overall condition of his skin has improved to the point where he doesn't need to scratch as often or as hard, and finds it easier to stop (so some of it may just be habitual scratching). We will continue to use it and see how much more it does improve. If it's not extortionate, I'd happily buy it anyway as it has definitely made some difference and I think most people with eczema would agree that any relief at all is better than nothing!

It was really nice, felt thick and creamy. It actually felt like it was going to make a difference rather than the watery ones that are for sale!

Yes! My daughter has skin like me which really suffers in the winter, since using this cream we have both stopped itching completely and no longer have any dry patches. My son has used it as he has patches of eczema following a very long bout of Molloscum and he is less itchy as well.

I was surprised with how quickly it was absorbed into the skin. We use diprobase daily with my youngest DD and this felt a nicer cream to apply.

I used it on my son who has dry eczema prone skin, the backs of his knees were worst affected, but when I first used it he said that it made it hurt, so much so that I had to wash it off. He didn't want me to use it again on his legs so we just used it on his arms for the rest of the testing period where his skin is drying and it did seem to make a difference there without stinging.
I wouldn't want to use it on very dry or sore skin.

I used this on my baby, my 6 year old and me. The balm dried quickly and wasn't sticky, which is great as neither of my children have the patience to wait for emollients to dry. It was easy to apply. Sometimes I find the pumps to balms such as these difficult to use after a while as the bottle gets greasy. I havent had that problem with LIPKAR Balm AP+M yet.

It hasn't eliminated the skin condition entirely. Both children still have dry or bumpy skin patches, but it has helped with the itchiness for my eldest and has improved areas (back of knees, between eyebrows, forearms). I have been using the balm too as I have very dry hands from handwashing so frequently with the baby. I feel it is very soothing on my hands.

Immediate improvement, but even after 3 weeks, its not completely eliminated the skin issues. Although its difficult to know if flare ups would have been worse if we were not using the balm.

I have not used these products before, but may continue to use this balm once we run out.
