Lighter than a lot of moisturisers we have used and absorbed into the skin really well.

Yes, her eczema improved slightly using this balm. We had been using a moisturiser prescribed by the dr but I would say this has had a better result

I really like the consistency as it wasn't too thick or watery. When applying, it rubs in easily.

1. How did you find the texture and application of the LIPIKAR Balm AP+M body balm? The texture was good, not at all difficult to put on my daughters skin and was nice on mine. I thought it was going to be sticky but it sank in quickly and left a 'film' on the skin which was pleasant.

It's much better now but she still gets lots of dry skin. This really helped the dry itchy patches as well as the flare up she had on her hands - it cleared that up really quickly.

I did - I actually had a very small free sample of lipikar balm. It was thicker and tackier than this. I liked this one for large areas although the other one is good for my face in cold windy weather.

Very thick. My son complained that it stung when I applied it too. Easy to spread but there was still residue on skin the following morning so felt like it never truly sunk in.

Lovely texture - not greasy, thick and felt luxurious.
DS (3) did not like it at all , though, on the first few applications. He complained it stung and he cried for me to take it off. It got better after a few days but I had to stop applying it to his most itchy areas, behind his knees and inner arms.

On stomach and legs - yes. Lovely and soft. However, due to the stinging reaction, I couldn’t continue to use it on his worst affected areas.

I liked this cream but couldn't use it much as my daughter still doesn't like being moisturized. I did keep trying and I liked the consistency, but she remained itchy (but as I wasn't using it every day I can't say it didn't work to be fair).

Very easy to apply, it feels light and absorbant without the need to apply pressure so good for children and babies' skin.

Yes. It's calmed the angrier looking areas of his skin down where he has scratched or the skin had raised bumpy and red patches.

It has also tackled the dry patches over his legs and arms really well.

Overall there is a clear improvement to the eczema prone, red, itchy dry skin areas.

DS seemed to be immediately soothed as soon as the cream was applied. It allowed him to get stop itching straght away so he could then get back to sleep. This was really noticeable compared to before we were texting this. I think the cream cooled and settled his skin almost straight away.
For the redness and rashy areas, it was a few hours for the rash to start to clear and a day before I noticed those areas were starting to improve. In 3-4 days much of the rash had gone. We continued to use the cream as and when he got itchy skin.

For background the GP said my DD has eczema (without looking too closely) and recommended a hydrocortisone cream from over the counter.

I am super happy with the quality of this product by La Roche Posay. I found the texture of the moisturiser super smooth, quite thick but soaks in to the skin really well. It actually feels quite luxurious!

I think using this product daily has really helped my DDs skin condition, her cheeks are particularly dry and red looking, if I put it on before bedtime, she wakes up with practically perfect skin again, meaning we saw a really rapid improvement after use.

I have never used the original version for this product, but would certainly repurchase this and recommend to anyone who has similar skin problems.

1. Texture was great- creamy and thick but not greasy which these creams often are. My son is super sensitive when having creams put on but this one didn’t lead to any protests which is fab.
   

1. I noticed a difference in terms of the itching and therefore the scratching and aggravation of the eczema- the eczema itself seems less improved but is healing slowly as he’s leaving it alone more.

The eczema flare up on my DC's wrists has cleared up and has not returned for the past couple of weeks (usually it clears with steroid treatment but comes back a few days later).

No, the first two times we used it his skin was fine but the third time he had an allergic reaction in the places we’d applied it to. He needed antihistamines and we did not use it again.

I really liked the texture, as the cream was thick and felt rich and luxurious. Application was tricky though as the pump applicator was broken in the post, so I had to unscrew it to get the cream out.

It was silky without being greasy. I quite liked the texture. The application was difficult as the pump broke in the post.

It did make his skin feel very moisturised, however the second night we used it, my son cried and said it stung him. The third night, he said the same so we stopped using it.

The texture was fantastic! The cream went on so smoothly and was really rich. Felt like it absorbed really well into skin

I think it did help with both my children. We still have had dry patches emerge, but I think the overall condition is better. The only quick solution we've found is a prescription steroid cream, and this is a much preferable option.

Rich and creamy but very easily and quickly absorbed with no greasiness. My DD's skin immediately looked and felt moisturised, as did my hands after applying it.

2. Has using this every day improved your child's overall skin condition?
Absolutely. While my Dd hasn't been diagnosed with eczema, she often comes out in little dry, itchy patches which are similar to my own eczema flare ups though thankfully not as severe. This cream has completely cleared up her dry skin and kept it at bay. I have eczema on my hands and find some moisturisers work at first then become very stingy and painful when using. This did not happen with Lipikar Balm AP+M. I've been using this on my hands every day in addition to applying it to my child and I'm very impressed. It's stopped my skin from drying out and cracking open.

3. How quickly did you see an improvement?
Almost straight away. The itch was taken out the skin immediately and stopped any scratching and after about 3 days I noticed the eczema patches clearing up. After a normal flare up, this can usually take a couple of weeks after the skin blistering and then drying out and cracking open and bleeding but that was all avoided after using this.

4. If you used Lipikar balm AP+ before trying the new version, did you see an improvement?
I'd never heard of it before so hadn't tried it but I'm a total convert now.

The texture was really lovely and smooth. It was very easy to apply but not at all greasy and was absorbed straight away. This is important as my little girl does not like it when her clothes stick to her skin.

My little girl has eczema at the back of her legs which can flare up quite badly. She was having a flare as the product arrived and when I tried to put it on her legs she cried out in pain. I immediately reverted back to the prescription cream she has and during the testing period I was unable to put the product on this area.

The rest of her body however was very promising as her skin is generally 'gritty' across her back and arms which she is prone to scratching. The product has kept these areas free from being itchy and I have not needed to put her prescription cream on these areas at all.

For the areas not already affected by eczema, this improvement was immediate and I will continue to use this product. I hope to be able to use on the back of her knees soon.

First time user of this product, but have used the brand for myself before.

The texture and absorbency of the product is brilliant. Really silky, and soaked in quickly.

The cream unfortunately stung both my son and I. This dies down quickly, and i have experienced this with many other products. I stopped using it with my son after two or three goes, as he really was not enjoying it and it can be hard enough to get moisturiser on him.

I did continue to use myself, i have had eczema since I was very young and have tried hundreds of products. This one, after the initial, sting, soothed my very cracked scaly hands and provided relief for several hours. The skin appears smoother and is healing slowly.

I liked the pump dispenser, the packaging appeals and i am really pleased with the product overall. I will buy this again, thank you for letting us try it out.
