Anything quick... looking for a children's activity I can turn around ASAP. I've several groups of children to cover in a limited time.

moomoo85 · 04/03/2019 18:49

@picklemepopcorn there is a condensed milk cake on the app which took me less than 10 minutes to get into the machine and 35 minutes cooking time. It is really nice

AHobbyaweek · 04/03/2019 19:48

Syrup sponge from the app is IN

picklemepopcorn · 04/03/2019 19:58

Ooh that sounds good!

Won't do for my club though. I was hoping for some muffin or cake bar quickies. Never mind. I'll just have to eat it all myself.

PomDeNlume · 04/03/2019 20:05

Hot off the press...raspberry cakes! Trying to resist digging in whilst they’re still hotter than the sun. The kitchen smells amazing!

Syrup sponge has come out well and chocolate chip muffins have gone in! Have gone a bit mad but muffins are going to work tomorrow.

picklemepopcorn · 04/03/2019 20:40

I'm so jealous... I'm not leaving the house until my guy arrives!

Rockbird · 05/03/2019 09:32

jamoncrumpets what did you make?

Choc vanilla marble cake and raspberry cakes going in later. Alas haven't got time this morning.

Myusernameismud · 05/03/2019 09:46

I've got a tonne of housework to catch up on, but from 12 onwards I'm having a serious baking session. Will report back!

PurpleCrazyHorse · 05/03/2019 11:46

Chocolate chip muffins. Flat tops but you wouldn't notice too much with frosting. Just waiting to cool.

However, the chocolate chip muffins taste pretty good. Just need some practice getting them out of the mould.

Myusernameismud · 05/03/2019 14:34

OK, baking was delayed by MOT drama, but I've made the giant cookie thingy off the app. Looks amaze, it's a little dry on their own but amazing dipped in a glass of milk! I sliced them into little fingers (spoon for comparison). Carrot muffins are in now and if the --uncooked mix that I licked off the spoon) smell is anything to go by, they'll be really good.

Confused strikethrough fail

picklemepopcorn · 05/03/2019 14:53

Ooh there are more recipes in the other languages! When we get bored with the English ones, we can try out some of the others.

I can't imagine meringue ever being a good use of time. But we'll see.

Myusernameismud · 05/03/2019 15:18

pickleme the other recipes are all on the app, you just need to go to search and then 'see all recipes'. My app wasn't showing any recipes using the proflex muffin mould because I hadn't added it to my universe or something. Once I added it, it showed 175 different recipes.

picklemepopcorn · 05/03/2019 15:27

Haven't got as far as the app yet! Just noticed a recipe that wasn't in the English section and got nosy. Great.

Rockbird · 05/03/2019 18:47

Raspberry cakes in and looking lush. I don't suppose this thing makes pancakes does it...? Am shattered!

Myusernameismud · 05/03/2019 21:13

Ha I did think about making pancakes in it! One rectangle one?!
I can confirm it does make quiche though Grin

Not exactly a cake, I know. But I do really love to bend the rules!

AHobbyaweek · 06/03/2019 09:26

Ooo quiche is a good idea. How long did you cook it for? Just the normal baking time?

moomoo85 · 06/03/2019 10:55

Lemon drizzle cakes are lovely. The silicone mold was so easy to get the cakes out of

They look lovely. My mother has declared the raspberry cakes a success Smile

picklemepopcorn · 06/03/2019 12:36

Here we go...lemon drizzle and chocolate bars. Two very different recipes. Both taste fab.

I was a bit sceptical of this, as I bake quite a lot anyway and there didn't seem to be a time saving.

But... factory is the word! You can mix a second cake while the first one is cooking, never need to worry about timing. Then wash and tidy up while no. 2 is cooking. And yes, the silicone moulds are a dream to clean.

I'm impressed.

I think I'll be asking for this for my birthday or Christmas! It looks amazing.

Notthebloodymustardcushion · 06/03/2019 14:50

Anyone else get a strong burning smell on first use? 5 mins into raspberry cakes and it really smells dodgy... Shock
