Would you like to test Carphone Warehouse’s new Energy Saver service? 3 x £100 vouchers to be won!

With many people paying too much for their household energy, we’ve been asked by Carphone Warehouse to get some Mumsnetters to test out their new Energy Saver service, and share how much money they find they can save. You can do this by going into store or by trying out their app (Energy Saver on iOS and Google Play).

Here’s what Carphone Warehouse has to say: “We’re famous for getting people a better mobile deal. And now we’re using our expertise to help you save on your energy bill. Switching your energy supplier may seem like a lot of work – but don’t worry, that’s what we’re here for.”

If you’re selected, you’ll need to try the service out to find out how much you could save, and then report back on a feedback thread on Mumsnet as well as completing a short survey.

To take part it’s useful to know who your energy supplier is and which tariff you’re on, but once you have that information the process of finding out how much you could save takes just a few minutes (and the average saving is £273!).

All who are selected and complete their feedback will be entered into a prize draw where three Mumsnetters will win a £100 voucher for the store of their choice (from a list). Plus, there will be an additional prize draw if you find you can save money and you’re happy to share that on your own social media channels.

If you’re interested, please sign up here.

Thanks and good luck!

Done, but lost my connection when I tapped the "done" button. Is there any way you can check you've got my application?

PerfectlySymmetricalButtocks · 15/04/2018 11:37

Unless you are on a pricey variable tariff you won't save by switching. All you do is reduce the increase , currently 10-15% a year and cleverly hidden.

Try some of the cashback services and that way you get the commission.

We recently did this. I was in a store arranging my phone contract and we arranged to have someone contact us. They did and we were advised how we could save. However mid conversation it cut off, this happened several times..

Signed up. Would like to see if I can save any money by switching from the same supplier as the old occupiers of the property when I moved in

Candyperfumegirl · 25/04/2018 09:50

Would like to give this a try

I've just signed up as have been meaning to do this for EVER and am almost embarrassed at how much I seem to be able to save (over £700 Blush) Having done it, it's definitely worth having recent bills handy and at one point I needed to call to get a MRP or something number which the app said would be on my bills but wasn't on any of mine - so if you've applied get gathering this stuff now. But even factoring in holding for my gas supplier for the usual 10 mins and chatting to a robot for a while on my elec supplier website the whole thing only took about 20 minutes. And it's definitely the first (and last) time I'm going to earn £700 for 20 mins work! Looking forward to seeing how everyone gets on on feedback thread.

I tried to put my details in earlier today but didn’t manage to get past the first page.

My current provider (OneSelect) isn’t listed in the drop-down menu of current providers and there isn’t an option to select ‘Provider not listed’ so I can’t submit my details Confused

Do I just give up @JustineBMumsnet?

GenericHamster · 24/06/2018 22:38

done.
