Change4Life has asked us to find 250 Mumsnetters to test their updated Change4Life ‘Food Scanner’ app, to help with healthier food choices. This product test is open to all Mumsnetters living in England with at least one child.

Here’s what Change4Life has to say: “Without realising it we’re all eating too much sugar, saturated fat and salt. The new and improved ‘Food Scanner’ app is here to help you and your family make healthier food and drink choices. Simply scan the barcode of your food and drink to reveal what’s inside.”

All testers who give feedback on the app via a feedback thread and survey will be sent a £5 Amazon voucher.

If you’re interested in taking part, please sign up here and we’ll send you further instructions if you’re selected.

Thanks and good luck!

Done - I think it would be great when starting weaning - I think some of the "baby foods" in shops are not very nutritious and full of sugar and salt!

I would prefer all supermarkets and food retailers to provide clear information, like sainsburys (for example) do.

No barcodes in vendors in stations etc.

Done. I hope it’s clear and easy to see.

Also done - will be useful to quickly scan to see if food is suitable for baby
