We have been asked by the team at Soltan to find 250 MNers with at least one child aged under 10 to try Soltan Kids Once Water Play SPF50+ Lotion 200ml and to then share feedback on Mumsnet!

The Soltan product provided is hypoallergenic but is not designed specifically for those with sensitive skin. Please don’t apply if you would normally buy a sensitive sun protection product for your child.

Due to the variable British weather we’re ideally looking for families who are on holiday in August and who are able to share feedback when they’re back!

Soltan say: "Soltan Kids Once is the only extended wear sun protection range designed especially for kids delicate skin. This product offers up to 6 hours sun protection and 3 hours water resistance, meaning it’s perfect for sunny days out, days by the pool or on the beach”

More info on the product here

Selected testers will be sent Soltan Kids Once Water Play SPF50+ Lotion 200ml to try. In return we will aksk you to share feedback on a thread on Mumsnet as well as by completing a short survey.

We will send out the samples early August and ask you to try them and then share feedback by the end of August/ very start of September. Please only apply if you’re around then and able to share feedback.

Everyone who takes part and who shares feedback as required will be entered into a prize draw where one person will win a £300 voucher for the store of their choice (from a list).

If you’d like to take part, add your details here

Thanks and good luck!

Totally agree with AuntieStella. I'm disappointed to see this being promoted here. In fact in Australia it is illegal to market sun lotion products as Once or single application due to the very fact that all sunscreens need reapplication to be completely protective. I'm a bit Shock that this is aimed for kids and it totally lulls people into a false sense of security with regards to their kids skin in the sun.

Would love to try this suncream as it sounds great and hope that it is better than others for sensitive skin

Jezza68 · 03/08/2017 08:47

Living by the sea on the English Riviera we generally have good weather. Suntan lotion is a must here as one of the local meeting places for mums is the beach. Occasionally someone forgets there cream so having a bottle handy to share is great, it would also bring in more reviews. Dipping in and out of the sea, playing games wether on the beach or the green will show how long the Soltan sun cream lasts and on different skin types.

We are off on holiday in September. I have a wee boy aged 7 and we are travelling with my sister who has 3 boys. Twins aged 3 and 4 month old. We would love to give Soltan cream a try. Hope the bottle will be big enough to cover them all :-) xxx

'up to 6 hours' - that means five minutes could be perfectly compliant. Same as 'helps minimise appearance' but more dangerous.

as others say, way too chancy. None of these creams stand up to long sessions in the pool, towelling, sand etc.

Jaderice21 · 03/08/2017 12:31

fab would love to try

Mumsey17 · 03/08/2017 13:56

Yup it would need to arrive by Friday to be in time for us (and preferably not with a card through the door as it's too big for the letterbox, that would be really annoying!)

Ilikesweetpeas · 07/08/2017 08:01

I've applied, it would be good too try this!

3girlsunder3 · 09/08/2017 13:07

AnnMumsnet · 09/08/2017 13:56
