Yes, absolutely. However it is a tad warm at night which i had put down to summer at the start of the testing, but it's not changed.

It is certainly a very comfortable mattress, I'm not sure how to attribute this to 'handmade finishes' but as an overall product, my sleep has improved.

Yes, I would if it was financially viable.

Yes, I would.

Yes, it is clearly a high quality product.

I' m sad that my luxe model doesn't seem to have this feature. I've questioned the manufacturer, by email and twitter (and here!) as It does say on the website that it should have two sides, and it's only other testers who've helped me out by sharing their photos! Not sure if it's a mistake on the website, but seems a shame that if you want a softer mattress you have to forego the summer benefits? - Especially as I have found it rather a warm mattress in general!

What are your best tips for ensuring a good nights sleep?

The best mattress you can afford. This really makes a difference. I used to wake with really bad backache and never had a full nights sleep. My husband and I then went out and bought ourselves a new mattress, the one we chose was expensive, though we bought it cheaper in a sale but it is well worth the price, I sleep much better and wake up refreshed and painless. Brilliant.

Definitely, from the arrangement of the delivery to sleeping on it now, I've been very impressed.

Oh, I couldn't say for sure but it is clearly well made, with a great attention to detail. I feel certain it will be superior to a mattress churned out in a factory in China or somewhere.

If you were to buy a bed again in the future, would you purchase handmade over mass produce?

Yes definitely. It's pretty affordable when you consider how much you will use it.

If you were to buy a bed again in the future, would you consider buying a Duvalay mattress?

I would. It's really comfortable and I like the fact that it's manufactured here.

Do you think your Hilary Devey bed is value for money?

It retails around £1000 which would have been the top end of what I would consider paying, I think. I do feel it is value for money and if I was given the option of returning the mattress or paying for it, I'd pay in a heartbeat!

Still super satisfied with our wonderful Duvalay mattress.
It is a very comfortable mattress, oozing quality that I don't think would be there in a machined mattress.
Would definitely consider purchasing another.
£1000 is expensive, but having slept so much better since having A Duvalay mattress it is excellent value.
We have the diamond luxe which doesn't have a summer or winter side, it is however much cooler to sleep on than our old memory foam topper was.
Would recommend the band to everyone, we are so happy with it. Thank you

Yes!

We are certainly sleeping much better, so that is down to the quality and comfort of the mattress. Difficult to say if it is directly attributable to the hand made finish.

~ If you were to buy a bed again in the future, would you purchase handmade over mass produce?
I would certainly look for the same level of quality as this mattress. It is superb.

~ If you were to buy a bed again in the future, would you consider buying a Duvalay mattress?
If money were no object then every bed in the house would be a Duvalay. We were difficult customers, each with very different requirements for what makes a comfortable mattress. It has taken that in its stride and surpassed our expectations, managing to be supremely comfortable for both of us.

~ Do you think your Hilary Devey bed is value for money?
Yes, I think it is competitively priced for this quality.

My tips for a comfy sleep are good linen, a quality comfortable pillow, a nice squishy duvet. I like to wrap myself up in the duvet.

Most importantly I would also say a good mattress, we could definitely do with a new one.

My tips are
1 - Leave your phone downstairs & TVs off as using them before bed keeps you too alert
2- Use the right tog quilt so your not too cold/hot
3 - Make sure you visit the bathroom before bed so you don't have to get up in the night and struggle to go back asleep
4- There's nothing that compares to going asleep with fresh bedding on, it feels amazing !!

If all my 5 kids slept through the night without waking for a new drink, for me to take them the toilet because of a monster in the dark hall or for every other excuse imaginable I'd have an amazing sleep every night

Switch off mobile phones in the bedroom.

Also keep TVs and other electronic devices out of the bedroom and keep it as a place for relaxation and sleep. Try to keep to a regular bedtime and, even if you don't have a good night's sleep, stick to a regular time to get up in the morning (give or take 30 minutes).

Make sure your covers provide a good temperate for you. Too hot, or too cold, and you'll struggle to fall asleep and stay asleep.

Mattresses are important too. I tried to continue to sleep on an uncomfy, old mattress where I could feel the springs in my body, and hear them creak every time I moved around. As soon as I got a new mattress, I found I slept so much better!!!

Definitely going to bed when you're tired helps....if I stay up sometimes I can get restless and find it hard to fall asleep.

I'm also a fan of lavender sleep time body cream, and pillow sprays!! The scent is supposed to aid sleep.

Yes, maybe moreso! As I've adjusted to the new mattress I hate sleeping anywhere else. Will never by a synthetic/memory foam one again.

I can't emphasise how super high quality this product is. It makes a big difference to sleep quality.

7 - I do like this feature, but if I had to compromise on this to be able to get the same quality of materials, I'd be ok. I was sceptical but do agree that this feature works.

Very much so, we are both sleeping more soundly and my back has improved tremendously.

I think so, yes. The quality is just fantastic - the thickness of the mattress, the fabrics, the finishing - all add up to a great night's sleep.

I do - yes, it is a reasonably high initial outlay, but a mattress is a long term investment. We often spend far more on our sofas, but I don't spend 7-8 hours a day on my sofa, so it makes sense to invest in the best quality mattress you can afford.

Before this test, I'd have said not at all important, but having felt the difference, I'm not sure I'd want to live without it now, so I'll give that an 8.

Not sure, but I certainly feel that I am sleeping on a well made, quality mattress. There is no sense of sweatiness so I assume that the natural materials are wicking the sweat away (nice)
