Valspar have asked us to find 250 Mumsnetters to test Valspar Premium Blend v700 Walls & Ceilings paint.

This product test is open to all UK MNers who are homeowners and would like to freshen up or add a splash of colour to their home and are available to paint their room and give feedback by the 11th April.

Selected testers will be sent a voucher for a 2.5L tin of Valspar Premium Blend v700 Walls & Ceilings, a Harris roller and tray set and a Harris brush which will be valid from the 20th March. Testers will be required to paint a wall or room in their home and then post feedback on a thread and complete a short survey by the 11th April at the latest. Testers will also be asked to share before and after photographs of their room or wall - please only apply if you’re happy to do this.

Received both the email and vouchers today. Thank you. Better get painting!

We are one coat in and quitting for the night. Very good texture (we went for silk) colour is still settling. Surprisingly patchy when applied but dries fast and appears non patchy now but will inspect in sunlight tomorrow.

A bit of wall

For avoidance of doubt, foot is mine And I'm lying down with legs crossed....and now I look at it, it DOES look weird :D

This bed is EVIL to paint around and it's too heavy to move.

The only cutting in that is socially acceptable on Mumsnet.

Received my vouchers today, so pleased to have been accepted. Off to get the paint at weekend, give the living room ceiling the much needed coat of paint. Yay!

I'm going looking for a neutral for a north facing dining room.

My 1st coat is on....hoping to squeeze a second coat out of the tin! Opted for frosted blueberry in our spare room which will eventually be my daughter's main room. .cup of tea now!

I'm really impressed so far.

Excellent coverage and most importantly - no splashes from the roller.

I'm painting over dulux timeless, which has been looking a bit cold in my north facing bedroom (although it might be because it's sooooo old ) and painting with Almond Milk, a pinky undertoned beige.

Unfortunately what it has done is highlight how much the woodwork needs painting :o

As a side note this paint is very sticky - I have some on my thigh (don't decorate in your pants ladies!) which has been there for two days despite a shower and a bath. I think it's permanent. Luckily I like the colour.

Hi, really pleased to have got an invite to test the Valspar paint. I will take some before pics by the end of this week, and then go and collect the paint etc. I am on holiday next week to Portugal so will start the re-decorate on my return. May be cutting it fine to have my report in by 11 April, but I will do my best, hope there is a little leeway, will let you know the progress.

I've had the email to say I'll be getting the vouchers but none have arrived. What do I do?

Hi went to b&q today & got my paint & brushes. Looking forward to starting...ideally hope to rope the husband in (but that maybe asking too much).

Great to see folks' progress so far. Itching to get started. Going for paint at weekend. Can't wait to create a stylish, tranquil bedroom - well, that's the plan!

Getting paint tomorrow, will post before pics over the weekend. On holiday all next week so will not have complete room done by 11th but will certainly get as much done as I can and upload the results. Really looking forward to the project and trying out this paint.

Loving the painting so far. I am starting at the weekend but need to do woodwork first so probably won't be painting walls until early next week.
