This is the feedback thread for the 100 Mumsnetters who have been testing the new The Body Shop Almond Milk & Honey range.

Here’s what The Body Shop have to say: “Many of us suffer from sensitive skin. Whether it’s experiencing stinging or tight itchy dryness to full blown break-outs, sensitive skin can be uncomfortable, distressing and sometimes unsightly and embarrassing. Although there is no known single cause of sensitive skin, it is thought to involve a combination of impaired skin barrier function, extra-sensitive nerve endings in the skin and intolerance to triggers. For many people cosmetic ingredients can trigger a reaction. Our protecting new Almond Milk & Honey Body Care range has been specifically formulated to comfort sensitive, dry skin. It’s been developed with a gentle fragrance that’s hypoallergenic - at last, you can enjoy some indulgent pampering without triggering a reaction. Enriched with nourishing organic almond oil from Spain and caring Community Trade honey from Ethiopia, the products are colourant-free, cream-based formulas, give up to 48 hour moisturisation and help to soothe, restore and protect your skin.”

Below are some questions, but please also give your feedback on the products in general and share your thoughts on each product.
1. How did the products make your skin feel?
2. Did the products calm and soothe your sensitive, dry skin?
3. Did your skin feel deeply moisturised and restored after using the products?
4. Do you normally use a fragranced bath & body range or steer clear?
5. Did you like the fragrance? What were your thoughts on this?
6. Are you aware & interested in what ingredients you put on a) your child’s skin? b) your skin?
7. Please let us know if you’d recommend the following products to a friend: Bath Milk? Body Butter? Hand Cream?

All those who give the required feedback will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 voucher.

Thanks and good luck!

  1. How did the products make your skin feel?
Moisturised well. Body cream aggravated spots but was good for dry skin.
  1. Did the products calm and soothe your sensitive, dry skin?
Not really, they didn't irritate it though which most scented products would.
  1. Did your skin feel deeply moisturised and restored after using the products?
Hand cream moisturised well, not so keen on the body cream.
  1. Do you normally use a fragranced bath & body range or steer clear?
Normally steer clear.
  1. Did you like the fragrance? What were your thoughts on this?
I liked the fragrance of the hand cream but found the body butter too strong.
  1. Are you aware & interested in what ingredients you put on a) your child’s skin? b) your skin?
Don't check as much as I should do.
  1. Please let us know if you’d recommend the following products to a friend: Bath Milk? Body Butter? Hand Cream?
Bath milk - great for DD as it makes some bubbles and I won't normally use bubble bath as it dries her skin. Body butter - no, fragrance too strong. Hand cream - yes, really liked this. Moisturised my hands well without being too greasy and very convenient little tube.
Elliepurpleflower · 04/03/2017 09:45
  1. How did the products make your skin feel?
The hand moisturiser is amazing, my hands are like sandpaper at the moment and it's really helping. The bath milk made my skin feel lovely all evening, it wasn't what I was expecting it to be like, but I don't know what I was expecting, maybe more bubbles? I really liked it though and I was nicely surprised! ! The body butter was lovely and soft on my legs but I didn't like it on my hands, it made them really sticky.
  1. Did the products calm and soothe your sensitive, dry skin?
Yes especially the hand cream and bath milk,
  1. Did your skin feel deeply moisturised and restored after using the products?
Yes they did, it lasted a good amount of time.
  1. Do you normally use a fragranced bath & body range or steer clear?
I do use fragranced things, the smell of things doesn't seem to effect my skin, it's just what makes the product that my skin reacts to- like certain chemicals in some washing powder.
  1. Did you like the fragrance? What were your thoughts on this?
I loved the fragrance, it didn't smell too artificial to me, and it was yummy smelling but also fresh!
  1. Are you aware & interested in what ingredients you put on a) your child’s skin? b) your skin?
I'm more concerned about what goes on my children's skin, I'm not generally that aware though of the ingredients.
  1. Please let us know if you’d recommend the following products to a friend: Bath Milk? Body Butter? Hand Cream?
I would recommend all three!
TheDuchessOfKidderminster · 04/03/2017 11:52

I was really pleased to be included in this product test - it was a real treat! I'm quite fussy about what I use on my skin and these were all lovely, nice to use on my rather 'difficult' skin and with a nice fragrance as well!

Here are my answers to the specific questions:

  1. How did the products make your skin feel?

Soft and well moisturised but without being at all greasy.

  1. Did the products calm and soothe your sensitive, dry skin?

Yes they did help to soothe and moisturise my skin, which is very dry at the moment. The hand cream was particularly good.

  1. Did your skin feel deeply moisturised and restored after using the products?

Yes.

  1. Do you normally use a fragranced bath & body range or steer clear?

Yes I do like to use stuff that smells nice but I have to be careful not to use anything that will aggravate my skin.

  1. Did you like the fragrance? What were your thoughts on this?

Yes I did like it. It wasn't too strong but had a definite honey smell (not so sure about the almond).

  1. Are you aware & interested in what ingredients you put on a) your child’s skin? b) your skin?

Yes to both, but particularly for my children. I prefer 'natural' ingredients and try to get stuff that is SLS/paraben free.

  1. Please let us know if you’d recommend the following products to a friend: Bath Milk? Body Butter? Hand Cream?

Yes I would recommend them all but especially the hand cream, which I really liked.

NB The bath milk was a bit thick for pouring straight out of the bottle and I would prefer a pump dispenser to control the amount that I used each time.

FirstStopCafe · 04/03/2017 12:05
  1. How did the products make your skin feel?

Hand cream left my hands feeling lovely and soft
The bath milk felt fine - I didn't think this was noticeably good or bad
The body butter initially made a particularly dry bit of my leg tingle, but not sting. This is better than other products. It left my skin feel well moisturised.

  1. Did the products calm and soothe your sensitive, dry skin?

Initially the body butter tingled a little but this passed quickly and my skin did feel soothed.

  1. Did your skin feel deeply moisturised and restored after using the products?

The hand cream and body butter felt as though they deeply moisturised.

  1. Do you normally use a fragranced bath & body range or steer clear?
I usually use fragranced hand cream and have no problem. I do try to avoid fragranced body moisturiser.
  1. Did you like the fragrance? What were your thoughts on this?

I really liked the fragrance. It is light and subtle but still noticeable

  1. Are you aware & interested in what ingredients you put on a) your child’s skin? b) your skin?

Very aware for my children who both have eczema. I would not use fragranced products on their skin. I'm less aware for myself and use more of a trial and error approach.

  1. Please let us know if you’d recommend the following products to a friend: Bath Milk? Body Butter? Hand Cream?

Bath milk - I wouldn't recommend. I didn't find it noticeably good or bad and wouldn't talk about it to anyone or buy it again

Hand cream - I love the fragrance so may recommend based on this. It also left my hands feeling soft although I tend to prefer thicker hand creams and this was a bit runnier than I tend to like

Body butter - yes I would recommend even though this was the only product that had a slight reaction on my skin. I usually avoid all fragranced moisturiser on my leg as it stings but this was just a slight tingle that quickly passed and left my legs feeling soft and beautifully fragranced.

octopusrus · 04/03/2017 14:06
  1. How did the products make your skin feel?
Very soft, I was particular impressed with the hand cream.
  1. Did the products calm and soothe your sensitive, dry skin?
Yes. I get dry skin on my legs after shaving and thought this was more moisturising than my usual cream. My hands were definitely much softer after the hand cream.
  1. Did your skin feel deeply moisturised and restored after using the products?
Yes, although the body butter didn't soak in as quickly as the hand cream.
  1. Do you normally use a fragranced bath & body range or steer clear?
I've tried both and fragrance doesn't seem to leave my skin any drier than non-fragranced.
  1. Did you like the fragrance? What were your thoughts on this?
I liked the fragrance of the body butter and bath cream, but thought the hand cream had a slightly overpowering honey fragrance that was a little sickly after a while.
  1. Are you aware & interested in what ingredients you put on a) your child’s skin? b) your skin?
Yes I try to stay on the natural side if possible.
  1. Please let us know if you’d recommend the following products to a friend: Bath Milk? Body Butter? Hand Cream?
Definitely the body butter and the hand cream. The bath milk smelled nice but wasn't anything overly special. The hand cream was amazing, I'll definitely purchase. It soaked in twice as quickly as my usual hand cream. The only downside of the butter was that it takes a long time to soak in, but I suppose it is very moisturising so maybe that's why! It's fine in the winter but if you were planning on going out and sitting in a car for instance you would have to use very sparingly!
HellsBellsAndBucketsOfBlood · 04/03/2017 14:36

1. How did the products make your skin feel?

The hand cream seemed quite thin, but actually rubbed in really week and didn't leave a greasy feeling.
The body butter was heavier, and didn't soak in as quick.
The bath milk, I actually used as a shower gel/wash, was really nic.

All three left my skin clean and soft.

2. Did the products calm and soothe your sensitive, dry skin?

I don't know about calm, but it definitely helped with the dry itching and powdery look.

3. Did your skin feel deeply moisturised and restored after using the products?

Restored?? Hmm , dunno if I'd go that far, but definitely moisturised.

4. Do you normally use a fragranced bath & body range or steer clear?

I normally use a lightly fragranced bath product, as I'm not overly keen innately smells.

5. Did you like the fragrance? What were your thoughts on this?

I did like the smell, but found it quite strong, especially the body butter and hand cream.
I could also smelling for quite a while after using it it.

6. Are you aware & interested in what ingredients you put on a) your child’s skin? b) your skin?

I do try to use sensitive or hypoallergenic stuff to try to mitigate itching and dryness for both myself and the children, especially DS who has eczema, which is largely managed by not using highly perfumed products.

7. Please let us know if you’d recommend the following products to a friend: Bath Milk? Body Butter? Hand Cream?

Definitely the bath milk that was really nice, probably my favourite.
The hand cream again I liked, as did my colleagues who used it.
The body butter I wasn't sure about as it did take a while to soak in and stop feeling tacky.

twolittleboysonetiredmum · 04/03/2017 14:37

How did the products make your skin feel - really soft, slightly too greasy after use so needed to wait a while before getting dressed. Helped with dry skin patches
Did the product soothe dry/sensitive skin - yes
Did your skin feel deeply moisturised and restored after using product? - I don't know about restored but definitely moisturised and that feeling lasted approx 24 hours which is rare with my dry skin
Do you normally use fragranced bath and skin products? - no as they irritate my skin, this didn't which is good :)
Did you like the fragrance, what were your thoughts on this? - yes I did. It was overbearing if I had a bath then used the butter. But I'm not used to scented products so that could be a personal thing. It smelt sweet and slightly nutty. Nice.
Are you aware and interested in what ingredients you put on your child's skin and yours? - yes to both, two of my three children have eczema of varying severity. I used this on them a few times and their skin was fine with it. They liked the smell and feel of it. I do take care with my own skin as I react to many different things so was pleased j didn't with this.
The packaging was very pretty and nice to have in the bathroom. Better than our prescribed creams :)
I'd recommend the bath milk and butter, I didn't receive any hand cream so couldn't say about that.

Huffpot · 04/03/2017 16:00

Thank you for the opportunity firstly

  1. How did the products make your skin feel? I loved the body butter and my skin feels silky with it - will definitely be treating myself to more. I wasn't as bothered by the bath cream but loved that it bubbled. The hand cream was nice but my hands were still quite dry.
  2. Did the products calm and soothe your sensitive, dry skin? The body butter definitely worked on my body but not as impressed with the other products.
  3. Did your skin feel deeply moisturised and restored after using the products? Definitely after the body butter
  4. Do you normally use a fragranced bath & body range or steer clear? Normally don't use fragranced products.
  5. Did you like the fragrance? What were your thoughts on this? I really liked the fragrance
  6. Are you aware & interested in what ingredients you put on a) your child’s skin? b) your skin? More aware with products for the kids. I know there is stuff (eg parabens) I should avoid for myself but I don't get too bothered by it.
  7. Please let us know if you’d recommend the following products to a friend: Bath Milk? Body Butter? Hand Cream? So so for the bath cream and hand cream. I found the hand cream slightly watery and not very effective but would recommend the body butter
peaceloveandbiscuits · 04/03/2017 19:38
  1. How did the products make your skin feel? The bath milk was very nice. I squeezed a good glug into the bath and it made the water nice and oily but not overly like specialist products do. My skin which is usually very dry felt softer and oilier afterwards. I would have liked to use the body butter after my bath, but unfortunately it arrived broken and a replacement hasn't arrived yet. Even without it though, my skin is nice and soft and feels moisturised. The hand cream is too "wet" and greasy for my hands, which suffer from contact dermatitis and need a thick cream to really soak in.
  2. Did the products calm and soothe your sensitive, dry skin? The bath milk made my skin lovely and soft and nothing irritated my skin.
  3. Did your skin feel deeply moisturised and restored after using the products? Yes
  4. Do you normally use a fragranced bath & body range or steer clear? I don't often have a "grown up" (read: hot!) bath so this was a real treat. In the shower I use "naturally" fragranced products such as Lush, Original Source and other Body Shop products.
  5. Did you like the fragrance? What were your thoughts on this? I love the fragrance. I don't like strong or floral scents, so this is right up my street. It gives a calming atmosphere in the bath.
  6. Are you aware & interested in what ingredients you put on a) your child’s skin? b) your skin? I am, especially when we suffer from eczema flare-ups.
  7. Please let us know if you’d recommend the following products to a friend: Bath Milk? Body Butter? Hand Cream? I would certainly recommend the bath milk. The hand cream would be perfectly nice for anyone with "normal" skin, but not for me. I can't comment on the body butter.

Thanks for the opportunity to have such a nice bath! Grin

danigrace · 04/03/2017 23:15
  1. How did the products make your skin feel?
Nourished, soft, supple, calm & soothed.
  1. Did the products calm and soothe your sensitive, dry skin?
Absolutely, so much so I felt confident enough to try the bath milk in my husband's bath whose skin is even more sensitive than mine (reacts to many sensitive products and is eczema prone) and I was amazed/thrilled to hear that it was very kind to his skin, made it nice and soft too!
  1. Did your skin feel deeply moisturised and restored after using the products?
Very much so, and the feeling lasted much longer than my usual products - felt like true restoration.
  1. Do you normally use a fragranced bath & body range or steer clear? I do every now and again when I get one as a gift but always end up passing them on because they make my skin dry and itchy.
  1. Did you like the fragrance? What were your thoughts on this? The fragrance is so calming and relaxing. Just strong enough to be enjoyable and lasting without being overpowering.
  1. Are you aware & interested in what ingredients you put on a) your child’s skin? b) your skin? Yes and yes! I prefer natural kind ingredients.
  1. Please let us know if you’d recommend the following products to a friend: Bath Milk? Body Butter? Hand Cream?
Would definitely recommend all 3, especially the bath milk as I was so impressed that it was okay on my husband's skin. The body butter was extremely nourishing without being heavy - a lovely pregnancy bump cream. The hand cream felt a little greasy at first before I learned a little goes a very long way, then I found it brilliantly soothing and enjoyable to use.
MumofthreeandBean · 05/03/2017 04:55
  1. How did the products make your skin feel?
soft and moisturised.
  1. Did the products calm and soothe your sensitive, dry skin?
Yes they helped my sensitive, dry skin
  1. Did your skin feel deeply moisturised and restored after using the products?
Yes, the body butter lasted all day and night
  1. Do you normally use a fragranced bath & body range or steer clear?
I usually steer clear of scented ranges, it tends to ft my skin out more
  1. Did you like the fragrance? What were your thoughts on this?
I loved the fragrance, subtle but nice
  1. Are you aware & interested in what ingredients you put on a) your child’s skin? b) your skin?
I dont check ingredients lists but don't use scented products
  1. Please let us know if you’d recommend the following products to a friend: Bath Milk? Body Butter? Hand Cream?
I would recommend the hand cream, it is fantastic!
traceyturnblatt · 05/03/2017 08:25

Thank you for selecting me to trial these products :)

  1. How did the products make your skin feel?
They made my skin feel very soft and moisturised. I am normally sceptical about body butters as I feel they leave my skin feeling greasy and coated but there wasn't anything like that with this one
  1. Did the products calm and soothe your sensitive, dry skin?
My skin is normally quite dry and sensitive as I work as a staff nurse but since Ive become pregnant (30 weeks now) it has been even worse. I used these products prior and during a set of nightshifts and felt that my skin didn't get irritated as it usually did and left my skin feeling quite soft
  1. Did your skin feel deeply moisturised and restored after using the products?
Yes I felt that they did, especially on my elbows and upper arms.
  1. Do you normally use a fragranced bath & body range or steer clear?
I always get given lots of Soap & Glory and Lush products at Christmas and tend to avoid using them as I feel they dry my skin out and make it quite itchy, it was surprising that these products didn't make my skin feel like that
  1. Did you like the fragrance? What were your thoughts on this?
I am not a big fan of honey at all but felt that it was a nice light fragrance
  1. Are you aware & interested in what ingredients you put on a) your child’s skin? b) your skin?
For my son yes, he has had sensitive skin since he was born so I am very careful with what I put on his skin as it tends to get red and itchy quite easily. I tend to use emollients and gentle moisturisers when after in the bath

With regards to my skin, not really- I tend to go for the products that are for more sensitive skin without a massive list of ingredients as these tend to not irritate my skin as much

  1. Please let us know if you’d recommend the following products to a friend: Bath Milk? Body Butter? Hand Cream?
I would recommend them all to my friends, especially the hand cream as that was a god send when my hands were falling apart after multiple times hand washing!
doctorboo · 05/03/2017 09:26

1. How did the products make your skin feel? very soft and smooth
2. Did the products calm and soothe your sensitive, dry skin? I'm not sure if if calmed and soothed, but my scaly legs looked better after using the body butter and my hands not so tight. So my skin certainly wasn't any worse.
3. Did your skin feel deeply moisturised and restored after using the products? yes - perfect for getting ready for summer.
4. Do you normally use a fragranced bath & body range or steer clear? I use fragranced stuff but try to use non scented for my children.
5. Did you like the fragrance? What were your thoughts on this? At first I wasn't too keen on the fragrance, I couldn't pin point which ingredient it was that was a bit strong, but by the time I'd been using tree products for a week or so I've come to like it and it's not so brash.
6. Are you aware & interested in what ingredients you put on a) your child’s skin? b) your skin? I have to be careful what I use on my children as two of them have allergies, but I'm more scent based for myself (despite having eczema and sensitive skin) Blush
7. Please let us know if you’d recommend the following products to a friend: Bath Milk? Body Butter? Hand Cream? I'd definitely recommend them all, the only person I won't recommend them to is my mum because she allergic to honey and almonds!!

AbbeyRoadCrossing · 05/03/2017 12:58
  1. How did the products make your skin feel?

Overall very soft no irritation. The hand cream and body butter worked very well. Didn't notice any difference as a result of the bath milk.

  1. Did the products calm and soothe your sensitive, dry skin?

Yes, they've not caused any irritation and my hands look a lot better.

  1. Did your skin feel deeply moisturised and restored after using the products?

After the hand cream and body butter yes. Not noticed any difference from the bath milk.

  1. Do you normally use a fragranced bath & body range or steer clear?

I prefer light or no fragrance so would uusally steer clear.

  1. Did you like the fragrance? What were your thoughts on this?

It was very nice and light - not overpowering. I'm not a fan of heavy scents so this was lovely.

  1. Are you aware & interested in what ingredients you put on a) your child’s skin? b) your skin?

Yes to both. I have psoriasis and certain products seem to coincidence with flare ups. I've cut out lanolin.
The DCs are 2 and 1 so I tend not to use many products on them but am careful when I do use.

  1. Please let us know if you’d recommend the following products to a friend: Bath Milk? Body Butter? Hand Cream?

Bath milk - no, didn't notice any difference.
Body butter - yes it was lovely
Hand cream - yes this was by far the best of the three and I will definitly buy it again when this one runs out.

duckyisback · 05/03/2017 14:45
  1. how did the products make your skin feel?

I was surprised at how moisturised my skin felt after using the products.

  1. Did the products calm and soothe your sensitive, dry skin?

I don't think that it soothed my skin, but I do have really, really sensitive skin, the hand cream definately improved the dry skin on my hands though.

  1. Did your skin feel deeply moisturised and restored after using the products?

It was deeply moisturised, usually by the evening my skin starts to become dry again but using these products that never happened.

  1. Do you normally use a fragranced bath & body range or steer clear?

I usually avoid fragranced things as my skin is so sensitive.

  1. Did you like the fragrance? What were your thoughts on this?

I loved the fragrance of the products.

  1. Are you aware and interested in what ingredients you put on a) your child's skin b) your skin?

Yes, especially for my children as they have sensitive skin too.

  1. Please let us know if you'd recommend the following products to a friend: bath milk? Body butter? Hand cream?

I would definitely recommend all three of the products, although the body butter and bath milk didn't really soothe my skin, I think they would be fabulous for people who maybe have slightly less sensitive skin. And the hand cream was amazing!

plimsolls · 05/03/2017 17:40
  1. How did the products make your skin feel? Really good. The hand cream sunk in quickly and left the skin on my hands feeling plump and restored. Same with the body butter- lovely rich yet fresh texture and perfectly moisturising. The bath milk was slightly less actively moisturising although that's not surprising. The really nice thing about the bath milk was that it was foaming and had s lovely fragrance yet didn't leave any feeling of tightness or dryness on my skin, which most scented bubble baths do.
  2. Did the products calm and soothe your sensitive, dry skin? Yes, particularly the hand cream. Noticeably more so than current (expensive) ones I am using.
  3. Did your skin feel deeply moisturised and restored after using the products? Yes, all of them did. The hand and body creams were particularly noteworthy. I get very dry skin on my feet and legs by nighttime and the body butter immediately sorted that out. The hand cream instantly sorted out that horrible rough-feeling skin on my hands (particularly after washing them).
  4. Do you normally use a fragranced bath & body range or steer clear? I love to use fragranced ranges but it comes at the expense of comfortable skin. So, I might use a bath fragrance but then have to use an unscented body cream to fix the resulting dry skin.
  5. Did you like the fragrance? What were your thoughts on this? I did like the fragrance. I'd say it means more towards the "honey" side of the scent than almond. It it is fresher and less cloying than similar ranges of other brands. It's a comforting smell which also has an unusual freshness. The bath milk is a lovely light version of the fragrance which manages to work for both indulgent luxurious baths as well as fresh, quick, reviving baths. The body butter dries to a lovely fresh and clean version of the scent.
  6. Are you aware & interested in what ingredients you put on a) your child’s skin? b) your skin? Yes and particularly what goes on my child's skin.
  7. Please let us know if you’d recommend the following products to a friend: Bath Milk? Body Butter? Hand Cream? I would, definitely. Particularly for people with dry or sensitive skin but actually the fragrances and textures are so nice, I think people of any skin type would enjoy them. The hand cream is the best I've tried so far, even out of "famous" expensive hand cream brands and more pharmacy style specialist dry skin creams. It's excellent.

I also love the milk-bottle style packaging of the bath milk and the fresh, white colour of the products.

Thank you

Coffeecoffeebuzzbuzzbuzz · 05/03/2017 18:49

Thank you for the opportunity to try these products. My skin is very dry, particularly at this time of year and is frequently chapped and sore.
1. How did the products make your skin feel?
The products were soothing on my skin and did not inflame or otherwise irritate any skin. I used them regularly in place of my usual products and they left my skin smooth and soft.

2. Did the products calm and soothe your sensitive, dry skin?
There was no redness or irritation and my skin felt soft.

3. Did your skin feel deeply moisturised and restored after using the products?
The skin felt soft and smooth for about 6 hours after application.

4. Do you normally use a fragranced bath & body range or steer clear?
I do use fragrances - it seems to be very much trial and error as to which products irritate my skin.

5. Did you like the fragrance? What were your thoughts on this?
I very much liked the fragrance - it was pleasant and subtle; I could smell the honey lightly for some hours after application.

6. Are you aware & interested in what ingredients you put on a) your child’s skin? b) your skin?
I am very aware and make sure my ds uses products designed for sensitive skin.

7. Please let us know if you’d recommend the following products to a friend: Bath Milk? Body Butter? Hand Cream?
I would happily recommend all three products but my favourite was the body butter - it felt like a real treat to use after a shower.

elpth · 05/03/2017 20:14

I don't have a great history with moisturiser as my skin is so sensitive. Often I think I've found a good new one, only for it to start to irritate my skin after a couple of weeks. As a result I tend to return to E45 regularly. I did have some great moisturiser but the company have changed it (ruined it) and so I wanted to test these as I'm on the look out for new moisturiser. I wanted to use these products for a couple of weeks to see if they begin to irritate me but I wasn't sure when the feedback deadline was so thought I'd better feedback now after a week's use.

  1. How did the products make your skin feel?
At first, really well hydrated and not greasy or sticky. However I have noticed my usual tightness feeling after using them in the last couple of days. I hope this isn't a sign that there products are no good for me as I like them.
  1. Did the products calm and soothe your sensitive, dry skin?
Initially yes but as I said above it's possible this won't continue longer term. I especially like the body butter but the hand cream is good too.
  1. Did your skin feel deeply moisturised and restored after using the products?
My upper arms and my thighs are much softer and smoother as a result of using the body butter and my hands haven't cracked (which they frequently do in cold weather) at all while I've been using the hand cream.
  1. Do you normally use a fragranced bath & body range or steer clear?
I usually steer clear as they usually don't agree with my skin.
  1. Did you like the fragrance? What were your thoughts on this?
I really didn't like it at first but I have got used to it and it's grown on me. I don't ever use fragranced products or perfume or anything so smelling of anything except "me" was odd. But I don't mind it now.
  1. Are you aware & interested in what ingredients you put on a) your child’s skin? b) your skin?
Yes I am very aware as many products are no good for me. DD had her father's skin and isn't sensitive in the same way but DS has dry, sensitive skin like me. We use oilatum on him and I have only tried the bath milk on him (DD and DH have tried the hand cream and DD the body butter too). They all liked the products.
  1. Please let us know if you’d recommend the following products to a friend: Bath Milk? Body Butter? Hand Cream?
The bath milk is fine but is very expensive for what it is. It gave good bubbles that lasted a while but made the bath very slippery. I wouldn't buy this but will enjoy using the rest of the bottle. I like the body butter and am really hoping that the tight skin feeling in the last day or two doesn't mean I can't continue to use it long term. Assuming it continues to be ok for my skin and to moisturise as well, I would buy this in future and recommend it. The hand cream is really nice and does a good job. I would buy it again and recommend it to others. Thank you for choosing me for this product test. I am enjoying using the products!

  1. How did the products make your skin feel?

The body butter made the most difference. I wasn't convinced that the hand cream was all that moisturising, although it did feel nice and light.

  1. Did the products calm and soothe your sensitive, dry skin?

Yes.

  1. Did your skin feel deeply moisturised and restored after using the products?

Yes to the body butter. Not so much the hand cream or bath stuff.

  1. Do you normally use a fragranced bath & body range or steer clear?

No, but not because of sensitivity; more that I don't like strongly scented products.

  1. Did you like the fragrance? What were your thoughts on this?

I don't like strong fragrances and was put off when I first smelled it. However it did grow on me.

  1. Are you aware & interested in what ingredients you put on a) your child’s skin? b) your skin?

Not really - I've never been able to narrow down what I react to, so just avoid most things.

Maybe the body butter

1. How did the products make your skin feel?
Soft and moisturised. The hand cream in particular was very usable as it didn't get claggy and greasy. The body butter was very heavy as most are, but it dried in well and didn't make me feel sticky and horrible. I didn't get much use out of the bath milk as I'm more of a shower person, but it did make nice bubbles for my kids and husband.

2. Did the products calm and soothe your sensitive, dry skin?

I wouldn't say they did, but they certainly didn't aggravate it which is more than can be said for most similar products.

3. Did your skin feel deeply moisturised and restored after using the products?

No, but it did feel soft and comfortable.

4. Do you normally use a fragranced bath & body range or steer clear?

I avoid them like the plague due to long and itchy experience and go with hypoallergenic non fragranced things.

5. Did you like the fragrance? What were your thoughts on this?

No idea. I'm anosmic so it could smell like armpits and sausages and I wouldn't know. I do know that the fragrance advertised did not annoy my skin, and it usually would. DH has declared the smell to be 'perfectly pleasant'.

6. Are you aware & interested in what ingredients you put on a) your child’s skin? b) your skin?

Yes. Mainly because my skin is so dramatic. I tend towards hypoallergenic, non fragranced, no sulphates "zero" type products, and as I do the shopping for these my family use them too.

7. Please let us know if you’d recommend the following products to a friend: Bath Milk? Body Butter? Hand Cream?

Bath milk- maybe. It's bath stuff. It makes good bubbles and does its job well.
Body butter-yes. I always liked The Body Shop for body butters and this one seems good.
Hand Cream-yes. It is light but effective so a good everyday hand moisturiser.

I loved these products, bit the hand cream unfortunatly caused my eczema to flare up but I do have a lot of allegies and my hands are very sensitive due to a job where I am washing them alot. The body shop hemp hand cream is amazing for them though.

How did the products make your skin feel?
Apart from the hand cream, really soft.

Did the product calm and sooth your sensitive dry skin?
the body butter did, it left my skin feeling soft.

Did your skin feel deeply moisturised and restored afer using the product? The body butter did, when I have used thos one I will be buying another one.

Do you normally use fragranced bath and body range? yes, after having eczema all of my life I now know which products I will react too and which ones are ok so tend to stick to the ones I know.

Do you like the fragrance? Yes, it lasted for a long time and was subtle enough not to clash and be over whelming with my perfume.

are you aware and intrested in the ingredients you put on your cholds or your skin?
Sort of, I avoid things I know are going to set off my eczema.

Would you recommend these products to a friend?
Yes I would, even the hand cream because I know most people wont have a problem with it.

Overall I really liked the products. The butter stung a few seconds after application on my leg the first time I used it so was a bit reluctant. However that hasn’t happened since, so think it’s because they were so scaly and sore at that point. The hand cream is lovely and light while still doing the job, and the the bath milk is lovely.

  1. How did the products make your skin feel? : Really nice and soft.
  1. Did the products calm and soothe your sensitive, dry skin? Yes! After a couple of days’ use my skin is far less dry and the sore unconformable itchiness has all but disappeared.
  1. Did your skin feel deeply moisturised and restored after using the products? Yes – it is long lasting
  1. Do you normally use a fragranced bath & body range or steer clear? I usually steer clear of fragranced moisuturisers as they normally sting on application
  1. Did you like the fragrance? What were your thoughts on this? The fragrance is pleasant without being too heady
  1. Are you aware & interested in what ingredients you put on a) your child’s skin? b) your skin? I do pay attention (after my son got exzcema as baby, up until that point had been using products such as Johnson’s without a thought). I also try to pay attention to where the ingredients come from . With that in mind, I would be interested to know why Ethiopian honey was used and not British
  1. Please let us know if you’d recommend the following products to a friend: Bath Milk? Body Butter? Hand Cream? I would recommend all the products and would buy again when they run out as I have finally found some products that seem to work on my horrible skin

  1. How did the products make your skin feel?
I love the hand cream, it's nice and light and absorbs well, so my hands don't feel sticky. The bath milk is nice, but I don't often have baths so will try and use it in the shower instead! The body butter smells amazing and it's lovely, but I used it after swimming when my skin had a very bad flare up, and it was a bit thick for that, but normally it would be great.
  1. Did the products calm and soothe your sensitive skin?
The hand cream was my favourite, no tightness or itchiness which you get with some creams, and it didn't sting which is nice! The body butter made my skin lovely and smooth. I will try the bath stuff on it's own to see what difference that makes and feed back on that.

3 did your skin feel deeply moisturized and restored after using the products?
My hands certainly felt restored and moisturized, and hydrated. I will give the body butter a bit longer, but I find it feels quite heavy rather than deeply moisturized, it feels it sits on my skin more.

  1. Do you normally used a fragranced bath and body range or steer clear?

I like a bit of fragrance, but find perfumes do irritate my skin, so I don't go for strong smells, but I do like some fragrance.

  1. Did you like the fragrance? What were your thoughts on this?

I think it had a nice natural fragrance, it wasn't overpowering, or sickly, just enough to smell nice without being irritating.

  1. Are you aware and interested in what ingredients you put on a) your child's skin? B) on your skin?

We are all eczema sufferers and so I try and get more natural products, as I think they have less artificial things in, some kids products are heavily perfumed and we avoid those, I use more non perfumes things on the kids, but I like a bit of fragrance.

  1. Please let us know if you'd recommend the following products to a friend: Bath Milk, Body butter, hand cream.

I would certainly recommend the hand cream, it's lovely and light with a nice fragrance.

The body butter, yes I would recommend but it is very thick, so while it's lovely I personally would prefer a lighter cream, but it smells lovely and is very rich.

The bath milk, yes I would recommend to friends especially those with dry skin and children with dry skin.

Thank you for choosing me to test, I will certainly buy the hand cream again, and if there is a shower cream in the range I would buy that as I'm not really a bath person, but it's nice to have a luxurious bath milk for when I do have a bath!

  1. Did your skin feel deeply moisturised and restored after using the products?
Yes, especially with using the Body Butter.
  1. Do you normally use a fragranced bath & body range or steer clear?

  1. Did you like the fragrance? What were your thoughts on this?
I liked the fragrance, but found it to be more heady & intense than I expected. It is very long lasting, although sometimes overwhelming.

Yes, I try to avoid products containing SLS, parabens, silicones, sulphates, alcohol, mineral oils., artificial perfume. Especially on my children skin.

  1. How did the products make your skin feel?
All three left my skin really soft. The hand cream has been the best for me as i suffer with dry skin, but this product has made a big difference.
  1. Did the products calm and soothe your sensitive, dry skin?
I found the bath milk didn't make too much of a difference to the dryness of my skin, it did make it soft though. The body butter was great but the hand cream was the best for me.
  1. Did your skin feel deeply moisturised and restored after using the products?
Not with bath milk but with the body butter and hand cream, yes.
  1. Do you normally use a fragranced bath & body range or steer clear?
I normally use fragranced.
  1. Did you like the fragrance? What were your thoughts on this?
I loved the fragrance, not to strong but it stays for awhile instead of disappearing quickly like some do.
  1. Are you aware & interested in what ingredients you put on a) your child’s skin? b) your skin?
I don't religiously read all the ingredients but I do tend to take some interest in what I am putting on our skin.
  1. Please let us know if you’d recommend the following products to a friend: Bath Milk? Body Butter? Hand Cream?
Not sure about the bath milk, although it smelled lovely, it didn't really leave me moisturised. I would definitely recommend the body butter and hand cream.

Thank you for letting me take part in this test. I really enjoyed it!
