We’re looking for 350 Mumsnetters with a baby or toddler from newborn to three years to test Stérimar™ Baby Nasal spray (RRP £4.49) – a 100% natural sea water nasal spray which can be used to clear tiny little noses.

Here’s what Stérimar have to say about the product: ‘Stérimar™ Baby is a 100% natural sea water nasal spray specially designed to help gently clear and unblock little bunged up noses from birth. Its drug and preservative free formula aids natural breathing so you and your baby can sleep easy all night long.‘

Here are some details about the product, and you can find out more by visiting www.sterimarnasal.co.uk:

  • Clinically shown to clear and unblock nasal passages
  • Aids natural breathing and helps prevent colds
  • A gentle, natural sea water based solution to use from birth
  • Preservative, drug and steroid free formula
  • Can be used on a daily basis

Mumsnetters who are selected will receive the nasal spray in mid-September, and will then have two months to test the product. We’d then like you to give feedback on a thread and complete a survey about the product.

All Mumsnetters who are selected and give feedback as required will be entered into a prize draw, where one Mumsnetter will win a £300 Love2Shop voucher.

If you’d like to take part, please sign up here.

Thanks,
MNHQ

My daughter is two and suffers from febrile convulsions when she's Ill, it's really scared me and worried me it was awful but I kno they aren't damaging, or harmful if watched, this would be great for when she has a cold so she can breathe without struggling x

Whohasnickedmyvodka · 15/09/2016 12:54

Would love to have applied

tattiehat · 16/09/2016 11:17

Yes please

ArgyMargy · 17/09/2016 07:58

Walrus it's called the placebo effect - otherwise known as Marketing Wink

scaevola · 17/09/2016 08:03

It's not exactly placebo effect - saline irrigation does work.

It is marketing. A bit like persuading people that branded painkillers are better than the (identical) generics. At least with this one there might be other differences, such as size/angle of the spray and amount/strength of delivery.

WalrusGumboot · 17/09/2016 08:41

Argy I used it myself when I was pregnant and believe me it does work. I can't sleep with my mouth open (weird like that!) so it had to work.

Steph25x · 17/09/2016 13:02

Would love to try this for my 22 month old daughter. She tends to get a blocked, stuffy nose when she's teething and she's just got over a cold but her nose is still bunged up. I'm currently using a saline nasal spray and would love to try the Stérimar Baby saline nasal spray. Sounds fab and it'd be great to find a more natural nasal spray Smile

CatchIt · 18/09/2016 09:41

I would love to, my poor little 11week old has such a shocking cold and the spray I bought doesn't do anything Sad he's so blocked with snot I keep having to stick a pointy tissue up his nose to get him to sneeze!

SarcasmMode · 18/09/2016 09:43

Yes, if it's still open.

Ladybirdturd · 23/09/2016 12:42

This is very weird - I received mine about a couple of days ago as well and just in time as my 1 month old has a snotty nose and poor thing can't breathe properly - this has been very useful so far. Where do I leave the product feedback please? xx

Alwayswaiting · 28/09/2016 17:57

This is great so far. Used it on my one year old, who has a stuffy and runny nose, much better than the pump action sprays I've used in the past. Very easy to use up the nostrils, and then teamed with a suction bulb to remove mucous, and it's very good. So far I'm really pleased and would buy in the future.

RebeccaEMumsnet · 29/09/2016 09:22

Hi All,

You will be emailed the link to the feedback thread within the next week or so - no need to leave feedback on this thread.

Many thanks,
