We’ve been asked by PitROK to find 250 Mumsnetters to test their natural deodorants. This product test is open to you if you’re pregnant or have a child under two and you have sensitive skin, have experienced underarm irritation or are interested in natural products.

Here’s what PitROK have to say: “It’s a sensitive time being a New Mum. It can bring wonders and joy; but also nagging questions about our child's environment and what’s good for our bodies. We spoke to 641 New Mums, and over 40% of them told us they had changed their Deodorant around this time. Mainly to stop the irritation some Antiperspirants can cause; but also to allow their bodies to perform more naturally. At PitROK we’ve been making naturally effective deodorant for over 20 years and many people swear by them. Please try our new Extra Sensitive deo - it’s been especially formulated by a Mum for New Mums.”

Selected testers will be sent a 100ml size of PitROK Extra Sensitive.

If you’re selected, you’ll need to give feedback on your first impressions on a feedback thread and then give your final feedback on the product on the feedback thread as well as filling out a short survey on your experience with the product. You’ll need to test the product as a part of your daily routine for between 3 weeks and a month to allow for the transition from antiperspirant to natural deodorant.

To sign up, please fill out this survey.

If you have any questions you’d like to ask PitROK about their products, feel free to use their Ask Alison feature.

All selected testers who give the required feedback will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 Boots voucher.

Thanks and good luck!

Got mine yesterday too
Where do we give feedback?

PotteringAlong · 11/09/2016 14:07

Used mine for the first time today - liked the feel of it and have been out since 10am walking about a local attraction. Warm here in the north east today and had Ds2 on my back in the sling and my bump on the front. Am very impressed with how well it's still going so far!

r0ck · 11/09/2016 21:16

Received mine and looking forward to giving it a go.

NamelessEnsign · 12/09/2016 11:47

I received mine a few days ago and have been using it for three days. Where do we give feedback?

So far it is light and non-stingy and has been reasonably effective. The weather is due to warm up again soon so it will be a good time to test!

Kione · 12/09/2016 11:55

I think I read they'll email us a survey?
I am sure they'll get in touch for reporting back.

I have used it for a couple of days and it is quite effective. t the end of the day I don't feel as fresh as with other perfumed ones but I think its just that, that it is not perfumed.

YouAndMeAreGoingToFallOut · 12/09/2016 18:12

Mine arrived today. The postman rammed it through my door and the bottle is a bit dented, but no leaking. Looking forward to trying it out!

PotteringAlong · 12/09/2016 18:15

I'm going to try mine on my feet later! I don't think I've ever used deodorant on my feet; I'm quite intrigued!

Poocatcherchampion · 12/09/2016 19:01

I've got mine. Ive started using it and so far I hate it! I don't like the way liquid runs down your body after you spray it on for starters.

I used it after bath the first evening and it was fine. In the mornings I don't bath or shower so I applied it as I would normally. By the time I got to church at 10am I smelt of BO so badly I nearly apologised to the people around me. I know it says to use after bath or shower but I don't have time for 2 a day.

I want to give it a full trial but don't have a window of 3 weeks where i am happy to stink...? Any ideas anyone?

Tatiebee · 12/09/2016 19:03

Received mine and I really like it, it's being really warm here and it's been very effective.

fish88 · 12/09/2016 19:10

I've been using it for the last 2 days. As far as I can tell I don't smell but I haven't felt particularly hot at any point. I don't like putting it on. I feel really damp for a few minutes after and a couple of times it has run down my side. As other people have said I normally apply deodorant more often than I shower so can't always put it on after washing. Will report back later.

Ottomotto · 13/09/2016 16:06

I've used it for 2 days now. Very hot today and fairly hot yesterday and it has surprised me! I was scared to try it on a hot day at first, because it feels so light I didn't think it would work as well as normal deodorants which are all so heavy, but it's been fab.
As far as I can tell, I have not smelled bad.
I will be trying it on my feet tomorrow too. I love that it can also be used on feet.

Pumble · 13/09/2016 20:01

Mine turned up today having leaked everywhere so have nothing to use... It was in a Royal Mail bag apologising they had broken my parcel... What should I do now? Thanks

newtothenet · 14/09/2016 07:51

I don't like it either! I have to have a tissue in one hand when applying it because it runs down my arm, it smells awful which definitely would have made me retch if I was pregnant, and I smelt by the end of the day. I'll keep going but I'm only the data into the the week trial and it's not looking promising.

BernardsarenotalwaysSaints · 14/09/2016 08:28

I've found spraying further away than I would with a traditional deo helps stop the dripping & I only spray 2 or 3 times.

cookiefiend · 14/09/2016 11:13

Today so far it is good- though I agree it has an unpleasant snell when sprayed, but not awful. I'm hoping it world better than others I have tried.

Helloooomeee · 14/09/2016 11:50

I got mine at the weekend and used it for the first time yesterday. So far I'm pretty impressed. I actually love the smell, it reminds me of holidays! It is wetter than I'm used to when applying and I have to remember to give it time to dry before I get dressed but as a deodorant I like it.

HopefulHamster · 14/09/2016 14:01

I've used mine today and I like the smell. I haven't been overly exerted yet so interested to see how it holds up under pressure!

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 14/09/2016 18:01

I'm on day 5 of using it, I don't think it smells particularly horrible but I prefer a deodorant to have a nice smell, I also hate the spray bottle and the way it runs when it's applied but I think it is very effective and I don't smell which is always a good thing Grin

MummyKatie88 · 14/09/2016 20:25

Mine arrived at weekend, have used it every day so far and already seeing a positive result, less irritation etc especially through these hot days!

TipBoov · 14/09/2016 20:29

Received mine today, the lid had come off in the mail, and some must have leaked because I could smell it through the package....I'm 7 months pregnant and the smell is awful, sorry! I'll try and start using it tomorrow if I can bear the smell.

wonkylegs · 15/09/2016 07:20

Mine arrived on Saturday, so far it seems fine. I haven't had any problems with dripping. I don't feel as dry / fresh as I do with my normal deodorant but so far don't seem to smell either and the weather this week has been giving it a run for its money

TallulahTheTiger · 15/09/2016 07:24

Used it for 2 days now and not noticed any smell- from me or the spray! Does feel a bit strange re the wetness when so used to a powdery aerosol or roll on, but will try advice from above re using further away.

YouAndMeAreGoingToFallOut · 15/09/2016 08:32

I'm finding it OK so far. I haven't noticed any issues with dripping when it is sprayed on: maybe I'd coincidentally judged the correct distance! The smell is...peculiar. It's not unbearably hideous, but I don't think I would choose it as a perfume! It doesn't seem to linger though, so it isn't an issue for me.

As to the actual deodorant properties, I don't have any complaints. It seems to be working for me, and in some fairly damp humid weather. It hasn't irritated my sensitive skin in the way that normal spray on deodorants often do.

Alwayswaiting · 27/09/2016 21:40

So far, so good, I like it. I don't find the smell offensive, but the slight trickle after application is something I'll need to get used to, it's just unusual when used to the traditional under arm sprays.

Been a busy day, and I've gotten fairly hot at work, and I don't smell, and didn't notice being sweaty.

I'm 6 months pregnant and like the thought of using a products that's more natural and actually works.

WhereDoAllThePokemonGo · 05/10/2016 23:42

Just an update to my initial feedback - was travelling with work and opened my suitcase to find a not insignificant amount of the liquid had leaked over my clothes. I have already mentioned that I'm not enamoured with the smell, so was very concerned my clothes for the next day would smell horrible and fusty. Thankfully, like when the deodorant is applied to skin, the smell goes away when it dries. Close shave!

In summary, whilst I've been more than impressed with the anti perspirant/deodorant aspect of this product, the smell really puts me off as a pregnant woman with SuperSmell™, and the fact that the product leaks if not kept permanently upright does not appeal to my frugal nature. So am on the fence as to whether I'd recommend or re-purchase this 😐
