INNOVO™ are looking to recruit 10 Mumsnetters who experience stress incontinence to test and keep their new pelvic floor stimulator.

Stress incontinence is the term used when leaks accidently occur from coughing, sneezing, laughing, jumping or doing heavy lifting. These simple movements put pressure on the bladder and, should your pelvic floor muscles be unable to tighten enough, will cause a leak. Stress incontinence can also be called bladder weakness or urinary incontinence. Importantly, we are looking for testers who are suffering from a stress incontinence following pregnancy and child birth.

Here’s what INNOVO™ have to say about their product:

‘Innovotherapy is a non-invasive way to restore your pelvic floor, treating the primary cause of urinary leaks rather than just masking the symptoms. Using a hand held controller that is attached to a two part garment, Innovotherapy sends targeted impulses via conductive pads (attached to your upper thigh and buttocks) to safely and effectively activate the muscles of the pelvic floor. It is a proven technology which has been designed to optimally strengthen your pelvic floor with 180 perfect contractions per session, allowing the device to do your pelvic floor exercises for you.

Results from a research study prove that women who experience stress incontinence will experience significant improvements in as little as four weeks by using INNOVO™ five days a week for 30 minutes. After 12 weeks of treatment the participants were defined as being ‘dry’ or ‘almost dry’.* So it won’t take long to get your confidence back’

You can see more information about the product here: www.restorethefloor.com

The product is worth £249 and selected testers will be able to keep the product afterwards.

If selected, you’d need to be able to use the product for 30 minutes per day, 5 days a week, over a 12 week period, and we’d also require you to post feedback on a thread on Mumsnet, so please only apply if you are comfortable with this.

All testers who complete the feedback process will be entered into a prize draw where one tester will win a £300 Love2Shop Voucher.

If you’re interested and would like to take part, please sign up here: www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/5CCTK6Y

We will be in touch with selected testers soon.

Thanks
MNHQ

First attempts at attaching it was a nightmare! After 20 minutes of taking the leg straps on and off again due to pad error I gave up and wet myself ;0)

Will try again today!!

Boglin · 23/04/2016 10:46

Mine has arrived too but haven't had chance to try it out yet due to the causes of my bladder weakness! Once they're in bed tonight I will get it all set up. Thanks MN and Innovo for choosing me, I'm very, very grateful!

ThornyBird · 24/04/2016 09:10

Mine is here too Smile

ThornyBird · 24/04/2016 09:34

I think mine is too small Sad I cannot get it too look anything like the pictures in the guide! I am tall and have chunky thighs. Do you know when we are likely to hear from Innovo as the email suggested we would get a phone call to help with setting up.

I'm struggling with the right leg - the left one is fine but the right one just doesn't go on so easily and makes my toes tingle after about 20mins! Only got to 45 so far. How about you?

Me too - that's probably not what they want to hear though! I definitely already feel a difference in my pelvic floor as it is doing it's thing, a most odd sensation Grin

I managed to get it to 48 on my second session. I actually quite enjoyed lying on my bed reading my book for half an hour. Can feel a difference already, star jumps are no longer such a gamble!

I got to 70 2 days ago (Monday) but couldn't stand it last night and only managed 20minutes. Even turning it down it was just too uncomfortable a almost as if I'd become too sensitive. I am due on though so wonder if that plays a part?

But much quicker setting up and I am certain I can feel a difference already. I alternate between lying down and standing.

Bonkerz · 04/05/2016 15:43

Still a bit of a faff here and not gone over 42 yet. Struggling to do one 30 min so finding 2 15 mins easier

I have to confess to having a few days off while I have my period. I just couldn't face it but will be back tomorrow.
