Miele are looking for 10 Mumsnetters to test out their TMB 640 WP tumble dryer.

Here’s what Miele say, "This sleek new white tumble dryer from Miele takes gentle care of your clothes using advanced laundry care technology. The PerfectDry system automatically detects mineral content and moisture in your clothes and adjusts the drying time accordingly, giving great results every time. Even better, you can add fragrance to your laundry using a FragranceDos capsule. The result: pleasantly fresh clothes with a natural fragrance that lasts up to four weeks.”

Those selected will be sent a Miele TMB 640 WP tumble dryer (RRP £1,049).

If selected, you'll be sent the Miele TMB 640 WP to try for a few weeks and so long as you add feedback as required you will be able to keep the product.

If selected, you will be sent the Miele TMB 640 WP towards the end of September, and asked to try it for two weeks. You will then need to try it and add feedback to a thread on Mumsnet. You would also be asked to film some video feedback.

At the end of the testing period, we'd also like you to post a review on the Mumsnet review pages. In order to keep the product, you would need to add your feedback by 11th October, so please only apply if you are able to do this.

If you’re interested in taking part please sign up here.

Thanks and good luck,

Love the sound of this, fresh clothes for 4 weeks. My sheets always loose their fragrance in the drawer. 4 kids and Scottish weather means I'm tumble drying two or three times a day. I have real laundry envy when it comes to beautifully fragranced clothes.

Fingers crossed. I would love a chance to review the Miele TMB640WP tumble dryer.

I'm crossing everything! Who thought my life would come to this excited over a tumble drier! Grin

vodkalimesoda · 10/09/2015 20:37

Oooh! Yes please!!! ??????????????????????

PrimalLass · 10/09/2015 22:21

Yes please. Nothing dries in my NE-facing garden, so this would be amazing.

DarylDixonsDarlin · 10/09/2015 22:40

When will we know? so I can sleep again at night

LittleRedSparkle What on earth does a tumble dryer that costs over £1000 do that one that costs £150? I don't know, that's what we want to find out! Grin

the model number given appears to be sold on JL website? It quotes the energy consumption as almost exactly half of the dryer I have now, so firstly it would use a hell of a lot less electricity. Secondly Miele machines have a good reputation of being 'kind' to clothes - I cant say whether this is entirely true? we've recently bought a Miele washer and I haven't noticed any difference either way so far in the care it provides my clothes. As washers go, its an agreeable little machine to get along with. Our water bill has decreased since we got the washer a little over 2 months ago. Haven't compared electric as it wouldn't be like for like in money terms, we have switched suppliers so I'd have to work out the units to see if we were better off. Cant be arsed.

My friend had had her Miele washer and dryer for over 10 years/3DC and they are both still going strong. We have a Miele vacuum which has done 7 years hard labour. My mother had one also, she then gave it to my sister. Mum endured a series of other shitty Dysons brands and has now returned to a Miele. I cant think of another single brand where all the products so consistently perform as well, as all the Mieles I know of.

I would love this more than anything in the world!
I'm tumbly-less at the moment. It's an horrific state of affairs. Grin

I think I put .co.uk instead of .com for my email address - can it be checked?

Fletch049 · 11/09/2015 10:16

Fingers crossed hoping if i get picked it will save me a fortune on my heating bill

ldt87 · 11/09/2015 13:59

This would be amazing to be chosen for! I've done 2 winters without a dryer, I would love a new one before the wet weather starts again.

puffylovett · 11/09/2015 16:31

We are about to start the autumn mountain biking/bmxing/dry skiing season.....my laundry load is about to go through the roof, pleeeeeeeeease pick me!

RickRoll · 11/09/2015 16:36

"so firstly it would use a hell of a lot less electricity."

It uses 235kWh/year (based on 115 loads/year), that's £35/year at 15p/kWh

A £199 tumble dryer uses 560 kWh, that's £84.

So you save £50 on power, which isn't much relative to £850. But you can get a

hermancakedestroyer · 11/09/2015 19:33

Would love love love to try this Miele tumble dryer out! The kids would love to dry themselves with fluffy bath towels instead of the usual sandpaper towel offerings!!

NoMummyNoooo · 12/09/2015 05:59

I would very much love this, me please

cansu · 12/09/2015 08:39

This must be first product test I have signed up for. Would love this. I have a rather worn out dryer at the moment so this would be fab. Like the fact that it works out time for you. Mine is quite basic, turn it on and hope for best!

louisetaylor87 · 12/09/2015 10:52

As a mother of 2 in cloth nappies - this could be my best friend!!

Jux · 12/09/2015 11:10

Me please! Our very very old dryer is dying as we speak. The noise it makes when I use it is scary!

callmewhatever · 12/09/2015 15:31

Entered, fingers crossed as always.

hackedoffnow · 12/09/2015 19:15

Yes I would love to try a Miele tumble drier. Please consider me for this job I won't let you down! Thanks

Yorkshiremummyof4 · 12/09/2015 21:13

As a disabled mum of 4 chidden under 12 we use our tubule dryer several times a day. Most tumble dryers are not up to the job, and we generally have to have them survived and or repaired every six months.

triniposse · 13/09/2015 00:23

I have never tried one before and I dry my clothes on a small balcony and it takes two days to dry, three in winter !!! Boo HooSad

Luckystar1 · 13/09/2015 07:42

I'd happily take one off your hands, I mean it seems like there's very little interest so just stick one in the post to me and I'll do it, I'm a martyr like that!! Wink

booface · 13/09/2015 14:39

I'd love to try it, I have two boys who are constantly doing sports, so have mountains of washing.

DontStopBelievin · 13/09/2015 21:16

I'd love to be chosen, as our tumble dryer has decided not to play lately and is refusing to switch itself on. Angry
Would love to try a new product and see how it compares!

michele1970 · 14/09/2015 11:57

Wow, sounds fantastic :-)
