We've been asked by Eastpak to find 10 Mumsnetters and their DCs to test their Wyoming backpack and their Flask totebag.

Here’s what Eastpak say “Our years of experience tell us that backpacks go through a lot of wear and tear when they’re in the hands of kids, and aren’t always treated that carefully, so we want you to put our backpacks through their paces and tell us how they hold up. And it’s not just about the kids – we want to see what you think about our totes designed for being out and about in the city. Take it every where you, and let us know how it feels, looks, and what other people think about it.”

This product test is open to UK Mumsnetters who have a child aged 14+
Testers will receive:

If selected, you will be sent the backpack and totebag to test by 21st August and asked to try it for two weeks. You and your child would need to test the bags and add feedback to a thread on Mumsnet. In order to keep the products, you would need to add your feedback by 11th September, so please only apply if you are able to do this.

If you’re interested in taking part please sign up here.

Thanks and good luck,
MNHQ

Some students seem to prefer "sporty" brands like Nike and there's obviously peer pressure, even with bags Sad

campocaro · 09/08/2015 09:28

Done! it would be great for us both to test these when we go holiday to beautiful Alnmouth

Ingles2 · 09/08/2015 09:33

Done.. Forgot to say I'd love the tote to carry all my work supplies Smile

Smiles3bbb · 09/08/2015 14:07

Fingers crossedSmile

mygrandchildrenrock · 09/08/2015 18:13

I have a teen in that age range and we are off to France for 10 days so it would be perfect to test it then. Fingers crossed too!

TequilaMockinBird · 10/08/2015 00:07

Done!

QOD · 10/08/2015 00:34

Omg such a dodgy survey ... changed my area and age as every question I answered, it flicked me back to my phone no
I'm 46 and in the south east

Twinkie1 · 10/08/2015 06:57

Done

balletgirlmum · 10/08/2015 11:47

My dd would have great opportunity to test this out during the holidays as she's doing summer schools but she isn't 14 until October.

YetAnotherHelenMumsnet · 10/08/2015 12:44

Hi InMySpareTime,
We have asked the relevant authorities, stand by for a response.

CheeseandGherkins · 10/08/2015 13:44

My dd1 would also love to test this but she's 13, can I still enter?

AngelieMumsnet · 10/08/2015 14:31

Hi InMySpareTime, balletgirlmum and CheeseandGherkins - if your DCs will be turning 14 later this year then you're welcome to apply :)

I love Eastpak stuff too (and have teens that fit age criteria and start back at school next week!) but think the backpack looks awful and there's no way they would use it. Doesn't have nearly enough pockets for a start!. Will be interested in the feedback when it comes in.

LIZS · 10/08/2015 14:43

Similar issue to balletgirlmum. dd is14 at end of month and needs a new plain black bag for new term. Ds is 17 and could trial run it on holiday though!

LIZS · 10/08/2015 15:24

Argh didn't see your response. Have entered on basis of Ds but it would be more relevant to dd!

GarminGirl · 10/08/2015 15:26

When are we likely to hear?

10milewalk · 10/08/2015 15:40

These look like really well made bags, I'd love to test them out.

RaptorInaPorkPieHat · 10/08/2015 17:32

Looks fab Smile

Theimpossiblegirl · 10/08/2015 19:41

I have applied. DD has just left for a sleepover with my favourite overnight bag so I'd love her to trial this!

InMySpareTime · 10/08/2015 20:24

Applied, thanks for sorting the age issue MNHQ.
I was amused at the typo at the end of the survey, "Eatspak" conjures images of carnivorous backpacks...

Crazybit · 10/08/2015 22:41

Oooh applied, looks great, although I think dd will be wanting the Flask totebag!

SusanMichelson · 11/08/2015 15:53

I have a 12yo so can't apply but tbh I went right off Eastpak bags after we had one, used it very briefly a few times and the stitching came undone and the strap fell apart.

It was really not up to normal use let alone a careless teen.

I hope they have improved (was about 2 years ago)

Wiifitmama · 11/08/2015 16:06

Hi Mumsnet. Can you please check my survey is ok? When I did it, I couldn't see a "never" option for some of the questions so left them blank. Now people are saying there was a never if you scrolled. Is mine ok?

Thanks.

Notso · 11/08/2015 16:26

MNHQ could you see if my survey has gone through please. I lost connection.

rupert23 · 11/08/2015 21:37

my son 17 would really like this fingers crossed . he would take it out with him daily as it looks really good
