Baby aged up to 6 months? Want to try new WaterWipes - "The world's purest baby wipe"? £300 to be won for feedback NOW CLOSED

A new product in the UK for newborn babies, WaterWipes, have asked us to find 250 Mumsnetters with a baby aged up to 6 months old, to try their new wipes and to report back on MN how they get on! Selected testers will be sent a pack of 60 WaterWipes - worth £2.99 and asked to try them with their LO.

Here's what WaterWipes says: "Every time we change our baby's nappies, or use a wipe on their messy face or hands, we can be (without realising it) swabbing their sensitive, delicate, and highly absorbent skin with chemicals. Even when we reach for wipes labelled as "natural" or "sensitive", we do not realize how many ingredients and chemicals they actually contain, as we seldom scrutinise the ingredient list. WaterWipes contain only 2 ingredients: 99.9% Water and 0.1% grapefruit seed extract. Non-irritating to even the most sensitive of children’s or Mums’ skin, WaterWipes help prevent and alleviate nappy rash and other sensitive skin conditions. WaterWipes are the only baby wipe ever to be endorsed by Allergy UK."

More info on WaterWipes here waterwipes.com/

This product test is open to all UK Mumsnetters with a baby aged up to 6 months old.

In addition, if you work with children of this age and are able to take part in this test please apply!

Testers will be asked to leave feedback on a feedback thread on Mumsnet and to also complete a short survey about your views of WaterWipes.

If you would be interested in signing up – please add your details here and we will be in touch with selected testers soon.

All who take part and who add feedback as required will be entered into a prize draw where one tester will win a £300 voucher for the store of their choice.

Thanks and good luck!

Oh for gods sake shallishanti, we all know where water comes from. Unfortunately a bowl of water doesn't quite offer the same convenience as a wet wipe does. Many parents need a lighter wet wipe, these are really good for that.

Would love to try these. DD is 5.5 months.

We love Waterwipes. Is this a new packet or the same one that has been knocking around for a couple of years?

We loved the product but found the way the wipes clumped quite frustrating.

Wouldn't use anything else other than water on newborn skin though.

Love to try these - my 16 wk old has severe eczema, and it's such a faff carting damp flannels about in plastic bags!

My DS1 is 3.8 and we got these wipes while I was pregnant at a baby show, is it a new design or something?

I liked them but really begrudge paying three times the price for wipes that by their own admission, are just water and a teeny bit of fruit extract, they must be dirt cheap to make but in Tesco are £3 a packet!

Because of the price we have used Jackson Reece herbal wipes instead and they are lovely. Shame as if they were a bit cheaper would probably have used a lot more of them.

Would love to try these, I have a four week old with sensitive skin.

They are great, our dermatologist recommended them for DS1 4 years ago when he was a baby with eczema. We stock up when we're in Ireland, they seem cheaper there.
Would also quite like smaller packets for when out.

Why the testing Mumsnet?! We've been buying and using these for almost three years, they're far from 'new'.

They are great though, the purity of a washable wipe without the hassle of washing or carting them home. I wouldn't use normal wipes, they're full of horrible chemicals, so these are brilliant.

I've used them for five months. Brilliant. Even on the teething enduced nappy rash. Snot encrusted nose is wiped without screeching.
They remove my make up without that tight feeling of proper make up wipes.
Besides,as they are 99 % water when DD drags one out of the pouch and starts to suck it I'm allm' meh' rather tthan ' oh god '.
Brilliant. And no fragrance or oily sticky residue on delicate bums.

They're hardly new, we've been using them for nearly four years! They're brilliant, really effective and reasonable value for money. For those suggesting water from a tap, these are convenient rather than water in a bowl and cotton wool.
As for cost, I buy direct in bulk and they work out reasonably per packet and certainly the equivalent of brand name wipes.
My only complaint would be they've still not solved the clumping together issue!

Yes please, would love to try this, at the moment I always carry pack of cotton wool and a little tub to put water in, but it isn't always convenient to get water. The wipes sound really good and very convenient.

Signed up. Baby is only days old and I only use wipes when out atm, but will be using them more frequently when he's a little bit bigger.

We're using water and flannels at home, but sometimes a wipe would be really handy. We'll be camping for a fortnight this summer and a product like this seems more in line with our prefered 'natural' leanings that a bumper pack of Johnson wet wipes. Can we try them?

These look great but I have a question. Are they more biodegradable than most wipes?
