Kinder Surprise Storymakers website feedback thread - £250 voucher prize draw for testers NOW CLOSED

This thread is for the 100 Mumsnetters who are trying out the Kinder Surprise Storymakers website.

Here’s what Kinder Surprise’s brand manager says: “We've designed a new website to give parents a fun and simple tool to create stories with their kids. Each story will be unique and personalised with your child’s name on it. You can share the story with friends & family online, download and print, and there are thousands of storybooks to be won - so lots of lucky families will have a hard copy of their personalised book sent to their door!”

Below are the questions we’d like testers to answer but please feel free to add any other comments which you may have.

Q1. What were your overall impressions of the Storymakers website?
Q2. Can you briefly tell us what the story was about which you wrote with your DC on the Storymakers website?
Q3. What did your DC think of the Storymakers website and the process of writing their own story?
Q4. Would you recommend your friends and/or family to visit the Storymakers website with their child(ren), or not? If so, why? If not, why not?

Everyone who adds their feedback below will be sent their own hard copy storybook of the story they created on the Storymakers website and also be entered into a prize draw to win a £250 Love2Shop voucher!

Thanks and good luck,

MNHQ

Another update - I just got a second copy of DS2's book (plus more chocolate) Confused Grin This is great, I will now take one to preschool to show them. When I opened it, I was half-expecting it to be DS1's book, as he did one, too , just not as part of this product test, & he's been asking about having his printed like his brother, but either way it's good Smile

We still haven't recieved our book :-s

Book has gone down well here - the soft toys have endless patience for having it 'read' to them which is a good thing!

jimblejambles · 26/03/2015 20:54

Ds2 book turned up today. He is over the moon and is taking it in for show and tell tomorrow.

Opheliabumps · 26/03/2015 21:31

I got 2 copies of DD's book in the post today, which would have been lovely only I assumed one was hers, and one was her twin brother's. He was not a happy bunny that she got 2 books and he got none.

Is it possible to pay to have a book printed, as I feel awful that he hasn't got one and she's got two Sad

FireEngineDoll · 04/04/2015 13:45

Just popping back on to say the book arrived. My daughter was really pleased and took it into school to show to her friends and her teacher. The quality and printing of the book is excellent. Thank you Kinder egg!

Sizzlesthedog · 06/04/2015 21:16

My book arrived, but it wasn't the one we'd chosen to have. Bit confusing, but at least something has arrived. I think we only got it as I must have entered into the online draw to win a book, nothing to do with the MN trial.

HangingInAGruffaloStance · 11/04/2015 22:20

DD loves her book, she recognised straightaway that it was " the story I made on Mummy's pooter". Thanks!

Cherrybellyboo · 23/04/2015 22:27

My daughters book never arrived :( I thought we had done everything right :/

Fillybuster · 06/05/2015 10:30

Never got ours either :(

MichelleMumsnet · 11/05/2015 10:18

Thanks to everyone who posted their feedback, congratulations to TheJiminyConjecture who has won the prize draw for a £250 Love2Shop voucher! We'll be in touch soon.
Cherrybellyboo and Fillybuster, I'll look into what happened to your books.
