If truth be told if I'd have been paying I would have given up. It almost brought me to tears it was that long winded and complicated.

SmileAndNod · 16/10/2014 13:29

I've just checked and I've been selected too. Will get onto this later on...

Holfin · 16/10/2014 21:12

Just ordered mine and found it fairly straightforward. I could had faffed about with it for ages but used the assistant and I liked the suggested layout. Looking forward to seeing the finished article so I can write a full review Smile

Nerf · 16/10/2014 21:16

Doing mine on Saturday, the one I usually use takes two hours at least so will be interested in this and its difficulty!

sanfairyanne · 16/10/2014 22:08

made mine v quickly so fingers crossed it is ok

oricella · 16/10/2014 22:29

Mine's ordered: did the process manually and found it pretty straightforward: I've done quite a few in the past with similar editors and found it easy enough to use this one. Look forward to seeing the result when I get back from holidays

Bonkerz · 17/10/2014 14:51

Book now ordered. Total cost was £54 inc postage and price paid was £0. Didn't take too long either. Have made a book for children I look after with pics if activities and places we have been. Didn't put any text in though as thought kids could use stickers to narrate the book.

Just wish it had been a week later as have family holiday next week and would have loved to have done a book for that! Wink

Nerf · 17/10/2014 17:46

Where's the feedback thread? Mine took 50 minutes thank god and I paid another 25 quid as I couldn't work out how to go back and delete the extra pages.

DurhamDurham · 17/10/2014 18:44

I couldn't do mine at home for some obscure reason so did it at work today, officially in my lunch hour but really it took half the afternoon up!

I have high hopes for it as I spent ages choosing pics of my girls from when they were born to now and they are 21 and 17. It will be lovely to keep and to look at......when they can afford to leave home. So when they are about 30Grin

Bicnod · 17/10/2014 23:39

Just ordered mine. It took 3 hours Shock but will hopefully be worth it!

trikken · 18/10/2014 09:47

Mine was dispatched last night so might have it by mon or tues. Cant wait to see it. Though did make a mistake on the front and left a pic on I thought I'd taken off. Ah well im sure it'll be ok.

TickleMyTitsTillFriday · 18/10/2014 15:47

All my photos are on ipad, will it not work on ipad or will it be ok as long as I do it through browser and not app?

pigsinmud · 18/10/2014 17:04

I hated that! I got extremely annoyed and frustrated with it. I wanted to swap the photos around and it wouldn't let me. If I had been paying I would have given up.

I have made a photobook online before - can't remember which company - and it seemed much more straight forward than this one.

DurhamDurham · 18/10/2014 23:01

Hi Ticket, I tried to do it on my ipad but it wouldn't work, even when I wasn't using the app and just went on to the website in the usual way. I had to do it on my desktop at work. Someone may have managed it and hopefully they will be along soon to help you out Smile

TickleMyTitsTillFriday · 18/10/2014 23:46

Thanks. I suppose I will have to save the photos to Dropbox or something so I can access them from the laptop. Nightmare!

Casanunda · 19/10/2014 20:35

It took around 2 hours to do, but that was mainly being picky about which pictures I wanted to use! Didn't use the assistant thingy - it was very straight-forward, and the code worked just fine so it cost nothing. Excited to receive it and see the book!

supermariossister · 20/10/2014 12:02

mine came this morning im really pleased with it its good quality and the finish is nice. the recipient will love. its a good product especially as a gift but i would not have paid £48 for it outright as im sure there are cheaper options out there

Blowninonabreeze · 20/10/2014 13:19

I'm having to admit defeat over this.

We are a technologically challenged family! Only really use iPads and iPhones on a daily basis. And I hadn't appreciated when I signed up that I would need to do it in a desktop/laptop.

We did attempt to download the software onto DHs work laptop, but the security settings (nhs laptop) mean it can't be downloaded.

Finally our ancient desktop was not up to the job.

Happy to pass on my voucher code if anyone else is able to participate.

Allisgood1 · 22/10/2014 19:58

Still bloody working on mine. I'm not using the assistant but the stupid thing changes my layout the second I add a picture so it's a huge back and forth faff. Luckily I worked out how to undo instead of deleting the whole thing and starting again everytime I mess up.

sanfairyanne · 22/10/2014 20:23

how do you undo?? i really needed to do that

TickleMyTitsTillFriday · 24/10/2014 10:45

Did mine yesterday. Was relatively easy but downloading it was a bit of a pain. My anti virus didn't like it one bit and I had to override it. Did anyone else have that problem?

SoonToBeSix · 24/10/2014 20:28

I can't get the software to download!

Pulledapart · 01/11/2014 00:15

just spend time creating mine but the voucher code did not work - well i did go 6 mins past midnight so that may explain it Hmm . I've saved it just in case they may extend the deadline again

ontheedgeagain · 07/11/2014 12:54

Photo book arrived today, excellent quality, colours lovely, however four pictures missing from middle of book, when we come to the final stage it did say that there was issues with these pages, which we could not put right, as the software wouldn't let us! Very frustrating as we had to get it uploaded that evening. Also software wouldn't let us put words on the spine. Glad I did this trial, has cost me though as We couldn't fit all our photos in! I'm still not sure about the matt finish, only time will tell. As this going to be one well looked at book. I do wonder if the gloss would of been better and if the matt finish is more likely to get marked. The process was quite stressful due to glitches in the software, sometimes the words would not type into the box, had to leave that photo an go back to it, invariably when I went back I could then type again. Also it chose not to save a whole evenings work, hence why I cut it fine and was so close to closing date! Would I use and recommend the software again, now I've seen the quality, yes I probably would. However I really hope that cewe are going to alter the software, as when I start using it again and the issues haven't been rectified, I will be going elsewhere.

HaveTeaWillSurvive · 08/11/2014 17:40

Still waiting on mine arriving, had an email saying it had been dispatched though so surely won't be long...
