Miele are looking for 10 Mumsnetters with allergies to test out either their S8 Silence Plus EcoLine Allergy, or the S8 Silence Solution vacuum cleaners.

Here’s what Miele say, “Build quality and efficiency have always been at the forefront of our vacuum cleaner design, with improving your lifestyle at home as our goal. Our Hyclean dustbags are an important functionality of the Miele vacuum cleaner being the most effective way of keeping dust and dirt from re-entering your home. Each bag is made from a special kind of fleece that gives you nine layers of filtration designed to capture even the smallest of particles and its automatic hygiene shutter ensuring dust and bacteria is not expelled back into the air when you dispose of it, making it perfect for allergy sufferers.

Built with allergy sufferers in mind, the S8 Silence Solution and the S8 Silence Plus EcoLine Allergy detailed in this thread both feature our new HEPA 13 filter designed to remove up to 99.999% of particles* from the air making them perfect for all allergy sufferers including dust, pollen and asthma.

With all of these key features combined, the Miele vacuum cleaner system facilitates the capture of the smallest allergens that are not visible to the naked eye, such as bed bugs, dust mite and dust mite faeces that typically cause irritation.

(*according to IEC 60312)”

Those selected will be sent either a Miele S8 Silence Plus EcoLine Allergy (RRP £300.00) or a Miele S8 Silence Solution (RRP £240.00).

This product test is open to all UK Mumsnetters who have either pet and/or dust pollen allergies. Testers will need to test out the Miele vacuum cleaners and give feedback over the next couple of weeks so please only apply to take part if you’re available over this time.

If you’re interested in taking part please sign up here.

Thanks and good luck,

Done- our lives are a bloody misery at this time of year and am SICK of buying expensive 'solutions' that are anything but.

isitme1 · 02/04/2014 14:25

Would love to see if this helps dc and their allergies!

CarCiKoTab · 02/04/2014 15:02

I have a Dyson with it's washable filter's and all that it really does do what it says it does, not sure whether the Miele could live up to the Dyson.

FannyPriceless · 02/04/2014 16:30

Hi, I've just signed up and would appreciate being part of this test more than I can say!

One thing is, I forgot to mention DH's asthma on my form. If you need a house that ticks that box as well please count us in for that too.

Giflow · 02/04/2014 18:54

Just entered the trail survey, either the S8 Silence Solution and the S8 Silence Plus EcoLine, would work a treat for me. I hope the suction is extemely good as some hoover tends to be rather weak and not very effective on picking-up. An added bonus would be that I would have a smaller hoover, currently have a Vax

HughJarrs · 03/04/2014 09:24

EmilyPinkOrBlue · 03/04/2014 14:58

Hi I would love to try one of these vacuum cleaners I suffer terribly with dust more allergy all year round no getting away from it so would love to see if this would help my symptoms at home! Thank you

charlieandlola · 03/04/2014 15:49

Done cross fingers and sneeze

badasahatter · 03/04/2014 17:16

Done...allergies at the ready!

BellaOfTheBalls · 03/04/2014 17:40

Oh am I too late to this party? I have a newly diagnosed asthmatic son who also has pretty nasty eczema, DH has eczema & hayfever as well and I get dermatitis. We're a delightful if a little flaky bunch, honest.

I also have a Miele vacuum that's 10 years old now. I love it but I have an entire house of beige carpet & 2 very messy boys. Believe me, it would be well tested in this house.

Please?

Khaly · 03/04/2014 18:27

Would love to test as I have a dust allergy

simonthedog · 03/04/2014 20:40

YES PLEASE my dyson died today and we all suffer from hayfever here. I will give lots of feedback!

aristocat · 04/04/2014 00:26

TheLostWinchesterWife · 04/04/2014 07:20

Writing this with streaming eyes due to the smog outside. I'd love to test this out.

Winterbluessummersoonish · 04/04/2014 07:31

Yes please, have filled in Grin

PurpleAlert · 04/04/2014 08:13

Have filled this in- DH has allergies and both DDs have eczema. We have a dog which depending on the time of year DH can show allergies towards.

I have a dyson which is ok- but it's so noisy!
