You may have seen that we've been working with Flora over the last few months, and now we’re recruiting more MNers to join the Flora panel.

We're specifically looking for UK Mumsnetters who are able to take part in a few activities over the next year. This year, the activities will include product tests, surveys and an event day, amongst other things. We've learnt from the previous panel activities and this project will be managed closely by the insight team here at MNHQ.

If you are selected for the panel you will be emailed a link to each activity, and each time there will be a prize draw incentive for one lucky winner. You won't need to or necessarily be asked to take part in every activity but each panel member will be asked to do at least one activity.

This panel is open to all UK MNers with at least one child living at home. It doesn't matter if you currently buy Flora or not - we want the opinions of all!

If you'd like to be on the panel, please sign up here.

We'll be in touch with those selected soon.

Thanks and good luck,
MNHQ

I've signed up, but participation in the event days would be dependent on when/where. I'd happily try to make it work, though. Smile

Wow what a big box for a tub of flora . Mine arrived today so will be baking tomorrow with it... Cool box might come in handy in the back of my car for keeping shopping cool or for picnics.

angryangryyoungwoman · 16/05/2014 22:58

Shocked that I received a delivery of flora today, in a massive box, delivered by a courier..
I was expecting a voucher. How much did this cost? Not to mention the co2 emissions. Sorry but this to me is unacceptable.

PurpleCrazyHorse · 16/05/2014 23:24

Mine has arrived too but at least the insulated box has been a car, train carriage and a bed for doggy!! Not sure I'll be able to have more than a little go at baking and a little taste on some bread, as the pot was pretty tiny.

PurpleCrazyHorse · 16/05/2014 23:27

angryangryyoungwoman I don't think you can buy Flora Gold in the shops so I think that's why they had to send out a 'sample'. Alternatively I could have totally made that up, TBH I don't spend a lot of time browsing the spread aisle in the supermarket so it could have been on the market years Grin

angryangryyoungwoman · 16/05/2014 23:29

Thanks purple that does explain it, doesn't justify it though imo!

TheCunkOfPhilomena · 17/05/2014 10:24

Hello, another panel member here.

Did anyone note the ingredients (along with the wasteful packaging)? It has bloody palm oil in it. I normally use butter so wasn't sure what to expect but I am not keen. Have been using it though and baked a little cake yesterday.

supermariossister · 17/05/2014 18:27

mine hasn't come :( filled out all the releveant info but no flora

battlefelton · 18/05/2014 13:00

I received the Flora Gold but can't seem to locate the discussion thread for it.

Is there one?

Thanks

battlefelton · 18/05/2014 13:03

Sorry, I was reading the posts above and it seemed it was for people who received a voucher.

Are we supposed to post a review of it here? I got a link in an email that I've deleted in a clean-my-inbox frenzy.

arianah2014 · 18/05/2014 21:00

Received my flora gold today(16/05 good packaging will use empty box to store canned foods.tasted it on croissants has a weak taste more a diet spread what do you lot think testers?

TheCunkOfPhilomena · 18/05/2014 21:24

I think it tastes okay (maybe a little synthetic but then it is synthetic) but I don't understand the idea of something trying to taste like butter. If you want butter then buy butter Confused I don't like the ingredients used in this (palm oil for example) and so would never buy it.

Uzma01 · 19/05/2014 13:56

I got my tub on Friday too, have tried it in several things but will post feedback on the survey link emailed to me.

FuckyNell · 19/05/2014 17:39

I've not received mine yet :(

supermariossister · 19/05/2014 19:43

me neither Nell

snowymum12 · 20/05/2014 06:57

Delivery was attempted on a day when I'm not in so it went back to the depot rather than being left with a neighbour. I'm not sure I fancy using it now it's been sat in a warehouse. What a shame Flora asked for delivery info and then didn't take it into account.

Bogeyface · 21/05/2014 20:12

Didnt like it.

It is billed as a butter alternative but it isnt. It has that nasty smell that spreads have and doesnt taste any different to other buttery spreads.

I saw it today on offer in Morrisons for £1.50 but full price it is £2.50, butter is nicer and cheaper!

Sorry Flora, fail on that one :(

Bogeyface · 21/05/2014 20:13

And yes I realise that I have probably just got myself struck off the list for the draw :o

supermariossister · 21/05/2014 20:22

still no flora don't think mine is coming

chocolateshoes · 21/05/2014 20:27

Mine hasn't arrived either!
