Best 'quiet' vacuum cleaner?!

Hi, I'm looking at getting a new hoover with about £120 to spend, can anyone recommend a hoover that is not too noisy?! My daughter absolutely hates our current Vax Power 2 as it is really noisy and nearly blows her away, luckily for her it has just 'blown up'!
Thanks in advance Smile

don't know about noise, but I would always, always, always buy a Miele. Mine is well over 10 years old, not too noisy esp. at the lowest settings, (though my cat hates it) and still cleans very well.

Henry.

Surprisingly quiet, really good. Way better than my Dyson that cost at least 2 x as much

My lovely little bottom of the range, cheapest Miele I could find is fab. It has a "quiet" setting for every day sort of hoovering but when you leave it too long and have 3 marauding children you generally need the super sucker setting.

Bags hold loads and are easy to buy in bulk online. The boxes of bags come with filters. My toddler loves it, he stands over it and leans forwards so that it blows his hair around Hmm.

Miele, very quiet. Expensive tho

Thanks all. Spent 2 hours yesterday reading countless reviews and think we may have found one in our budget!

How are you getting on with your new vacuum tigger?

I recently bought a Hoover Pure Power to replace my old Electrolux that gave up the ghost. Am very impressed with how smooth it is, and much quieter than my last vaccum. And it's red - which is exciting Grin
