This thread is for the 150 Mumsnetters trying out Cif Cream. Seven Mumsnetters will also be providing us with video feedback, so keep an eye out for the video on Cifs page on Mumsnet.

Here's what Cif have to say about the product, "Cif Cream removes all kinds of dirt. The millions of micro-particles contained in each drop will clean kitchens, bathrooms and more, delivering beautiful results every time! You'll be amazed at what you can rejuvenate with our multipurpose cream!"

Below are a few questions we'd like you to answer but please feel free to add your own comments too.

Q1. Where in your home did you use the Cif Cream to clean?
Q2. What was your overall impression of Cif Cream? What did you like most about it? Was there anything you didn't like?
Q3. How effective did you find Cif Cream compared to your usual cleaning product?
Q4. The RRP for Cif Cream is £2.50 (500ml bottle), do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not, why not?
Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Cif Cream to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

We would also love to see some before and after pictures so please feel free to add these to this thread. Please note that Cif may use comments and photos posted on this thread in their marketing and promotional material so please only post if you are happy with this.

All selected MN testers who add their feedback will be entered into a prize draw to win a £250 Love2Shop voucher as a thank you.

Thanks and good luck,

MNHQ

Q1. Where in your home did you use the Cif Cream to clean?
Kitchen and bathroom
Q2. What was your overall impression of Cif Cream? What did you like most about it? Was there anything you didn't like
Overall impression was ok - I liked the smell :)
Q3. How effective did you find Cif Cream compared to your usual cleaning product?
It was about the same. I usually make my own cleaner though.
Q4. The RRP for Cif Cream is £2.50, do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not, why not?
Would not buy at this price as I usually make my own cleaner as I said above, and te individual components are cheaper.
Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Cif Cream to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?
I would recommend it as a cleaner for those who buy them.

Thanks for the samples!

I have tested this now in the kitchen and bathroom, and a little on paintwork elsewhere.
I've always liked Cif, and I didn't think this was different to Cif I've used before, and I found it did clean effectively, especially on sinks and taps. It's also great for baths, especially when muddy boys have been in them!
It is easy to use too much, and I seem to remember that Jif was slightly grittier which I preferred when cleaning paintwork.
Would I spend £2.50 on it? tBh, probably not when the supermarket versions are so much cheaper and not terrible. If it went further per squirt, as it were, then I would but as I seem to be forever putting more onto the sponge, I think I'd still do for the cheaper versions. But I do like it, and if money were no object, I would certainly buy it.
I would recommend it to friends and family.

1. Where did you use the CIF cream
In the bathrooms on the sinks and bath

2. What was your overall impression of CIF cream? What did you like/dislike most?
It left the sink and bath looking shiny. The scent is quite pleasant and fresh - not too overpowering. My only concern would be the chemicals within it as I normally use eco products.

3. How did you find CIF compared to your usual cleaning products?
It seems to be as effective but lacks the eco credentials

4. The RRP is £2.50. Would you buy CIF cream again and why/why not?
I don't think so as I try to stick to eco products.

5. Would you recommend to friends/family. Why/not?
Probably not as I prefer eco products and would tend to recommend those over chemical based ones.

Q1. Where in your home did you use the Cif Cream to clean?
Kitchen so far
Q2. What was your overall impression of Cif Cream? What did you like most about it? Was there anything you didn't like?
Seemed good, did the job and washed away easily.
Q3. How effective did you find Cif Cream compared to your usual cleaning product?
Yes seemed good.
Q4. The RRP for Cif Cream is £2.50 (500ml bottle), do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not, why not?
Seems a bit expensive for a small bottle, sure supermarket does a similar one for less.
Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Cif Cream to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?
No, I am maybe strange but I don't tend to have conversations about getting my house more sparkly.

Q1. Where in your home did you use the Cif Cream to clean?

Kitchen.

Q2. What was your overall impression of Cif Cream? What did you like most about it? Was there anything you didn't like?

I liked it, it was to use something thicker that wasn't a spray. But I did find that I used quite a lot in one go.

Q3. How effective did you find Cif Cream compared to your usual cleaning product?

It made light work of my hob.

Q4. The RRP for Cif Cream is £2.50 (500ml bottle), do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not, why not?

I'm unlikely to spend that on it, unless it was on offer unfortunately.

Q5. If it came up in conversation, would you recommend Cif Cream to your friends/family? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would probably mention it as an alternative to others but couldn't recommend a product that cost that much. Sorry.

Q4. The RRP for Cif Cream is £2.50 (500ml bottle), do you think you'll be likely to buy it again or not? If so, why? If not, why not?
