Made with 97% peanuts, no added sugar and loaded with energy, Mums know that choosing Whole Earth peanut butter is a great way to fuel their families throughout the day. It is also a perfect ingredient for baking crunchy peanut butter cookies ? a delicious after school treat."

For those who tested the product, we?ve got a few questions we'd like you to answer, but feel free to add any other comments.

Q1. What did you/your DCs think of the consistency, texture and flavour of Whole Earth peanut butter? Was this similar/different to what you were expecting?

Q2. If you have tried other peanut butter brands before, how do you think Whole Earth Crunchy Original peanut butter compared overall?

Q3. The RRP for 227g of Whole Earth Crunchy Original peanut butter is £1.99 and 454g is £3.19. Would you be happy to pay this? If so, why. If not, why not?

Wasn't selected to test, but crunchy all the way for me!

I personally prefer crunchy. However we always buy smooth as it goes further (can spread it thinner) & DH will use 1/4 jar per day if he gets the chance as he spreads it SO thickly. Also smooth is better for toddler DD.

In a non tester BTW.

I'm not a tester but I love smooth peanut butter in sandwiches or on toast. In cooking I tend to use crunchy.

Non-tester here. We love Whole Earth pb, find it far tastier than most other brands, but also, unfortunately, far more expensive. And as we can sometimes go through a jar or two a week, we tend to get Waitrose own-brand version of it - except on the rare occasions when it's on offer, in which case I stock up!

Definitely prefer crunchy for almost everything, though we have smooth from time to time.

CPB with any of Marmite, jam, honey, banana, thinly sliced apple, thinly sliced cheese (esp Wensledale or similar) is delicious.

CPB is fab as a base layer on bread or dough for a sweet pizza. Top with other stuff, eg fruit, soft sweets, chocolate, and grill for a few minutes.

Q1. What did you/your DCs think of the consistency, texture and flavour of Whole Earth peanut butter? Was this similar/different to what you were expecting?

I loved it. I like the big bits of peanut!

Q2. If you have tried other peanut butter brands before, how do you think Whole Earth Crunchy Original peanut butter compared overall?
I think it is my favourite - it's certainly the one that I look out for!

Q3. The RRP for 227g of Whole Earth Crunchy Original peanut butter is £1.99 and 454g is £3.19. Would you be happy to pay this? If so, why. If not, why not?
Yes - although I don't actually buy peanut butter because if I buy it I eat it with lots of toast and that's really not good for my diet!!!

Q4. How did you eat your peanut butter product? On its own? On toast? Did you use it in a recipe? If so, what did you cook?
Spoonfulls alone as a treat - then on toast for breakfast. I can't cook with it as husband HATES peanuts!

Q5. If it came up in conversation would you recommend Whole Earth peanut butter to friends or family? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes - although I can't imagine it coming up in conversation!!

Non-tester here, but have always had crunchy. I don't think I've ever tried smooth.

I like the texture, because it's what I expect from a nut! My favourite is spreading it on fresh celery- double crunch!!

Non-tester: crunchy here! Think DP might prefer smooth but until he does the weekly shop it will be crunchy all the way!

Non tester:

The children prefer smooth, so that's what I mostly buy.

I like a change occasionally and like the crunchy for adding to a biscuit recipe.

I really wish I could afford to buy Whole Earth. I'll keep an eye open for it to see if it's ever on offer.

Non-tester. Crunchy every time.

Liked on bread or toast with a scrape of marmite underneath and slices of tomato or cucumber on top.

Or on bread or toast with banana or honey on top.

Is it ok that Dad bought ours, not Mum? [churlish]

Hi everyone, apologies if you've had any problems uploading pictures onto the thread. This has now been fixed. You can post pictures by using the Browse button under the Add Message box. You can only post one pic per message - and it will always appear above the text of your message, whichever order you browse/type in. If your pic doesn't load, try making it smaller (50KB max). We're afraid that you can't post up pictures if you're using the MN Talk App. And if you're not running IOS6 on your iPad or iPhone, you won't be able to browse for images on your Apple device.
Thanks
