  1. White. It is very light, fruity and easy to drink. Great with any type of food or on it own.
  2. I agreed witht the sescription of being able to taste the fruit flavour of grape, pear and apricot
  3. Yes, I would buy because it is an interesting proposition compare to the usual heavier white wine as especially for non white wine drinker. As a red wine drinker who does not noramlly drink white wine. This is very palatable and I look forward to buying and trying the rose when we next at the supermarket.
  4. weekend

  1. Which Vie variant did you try - white or rose? What did you think? I had the rose , I thought it was very light and refreshing
  2. How would you describe the taste of Vie to your friends? I would say it has a light fruity taste without the after taste that I dislike with most wines. It was like a spritzer but without the fizz.
  3. Would you recommend it to them? If so, why? If not, why not? Yes lots of my friend like blossom hill rose but this would be good to enjoy for the ones of us who have to get up with the

Kids the next morning. I would definitely say this is quite a girly drink

1. Which Vie variant did you try - white or rose? What did you think?
I tried the Rose. i was pleasantly surprised. it was a lot nice than i thought it would be.

2. How would you describe the taste of Vie to your friends?
Refreshing, light and fruity with a taste of apricots. Very delicious!

3. Would you recommend it to them? If so, why? If not, why not?
Definitely! It is a lovely light summery drink which would be perfect with a salad or a light lunch.

4. What would be the perfect 'Vie time' for you?
I can imagine drinking this on a summer day in the garden, whilst having a BBQ. It would also be great to enjoy with friends having lunch.

5. Did you know Blossom Hill Vie has 30% fewer calories than Blossom Hill still wine?
Yes - I read this on the label. Makes me feel less guilty especially as I am trying to be healthier this year.

6. Any other thoughts you'd like to share?
It is a lovely looking bottle which would probably catch my eye on the shelf. You can see that it is typically aimed at women. I found the wine very tasty with no aftertaste (I too have experienced this with other low-alcohol wines). It is very easy to drink and i would love to have a light, fruity red version of this. I think it would be very popular. Thanks for letting me try this!

  1. Which Vie variant did you try - white or rose? What did you think?

I tried the white - it was delicious. A lovely smell as soon as you opened the bottle, it was light and very drinkable.

  1. How would you describe the taste of Vie to your friends?

Very fruity and sweet.

  1. Would you recommend it to them? If so, why? If not, why not?

I allowed my husband and sister a very small snifter, only a sip each mind! Grin. Husband is not really a fan of sweet wine so would not recommend it to those kinds of wine drinkers, but my sister loved it. Fans of sweet wine, those watching the calories or who appreciate a lower percentage tipple will enjoy it very much.

  1. What would be the perfect 'Vie time' for you?

This would be perfect to drink while relaxing in the garden on a sunny afternoon while having a BBQ. A far cry from my own experience - I drank it while watching the footy on a cold February afternoon! Smile

  1. Did you know Blossom Hill Vie has 30% fewer calories than Blossom Hill still wine?

I did not know that, but it's good info to have.

  1. Any other thoughts you'd like to share?

A big thank you for letting me try this. I'll be buying more when summer comes around!

Rose. I liked the bottle, I enjoyed the taste. It wasn't a strong tasting wine which I like.

It tasted fruity, it didnt leave a nasty aftertaste which I often find with other wines I have tried.

  1. Would you recommend it to them? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes definately. I plan to choose this wine to take with me to friends.

  1. What would be the perfect 'Vie time' for you?

This would be relaxing with a glass of vie watching a good movie or gossiping with girlfriends at dinner.

  1. I tried the rose and thought it was lovely and light. It was fruity with a slightly fizzy after taste.
  2. I would describe the taste as light and fruity.
  3. I would recommend it to my friends as I think they would enjoy it as they are all big rosé fans and its nice to find a fruity pale rose, a lot of the pale roses are too similar to white. This has a sweeter taste.
  4. Perfect Vie time for me would be when the baby is in bed and I want a glass of wine to chill with (without worrying about the alcohol % being too high incase DS wakes in the night) or on a summers afternoon sitting in the garden with friends.
  5. No, i didn't know it was 30% fewer calories and that does make me feel less guilty as I still need to lose the baby weight.
  6. I really enjoyed the rose and the chance to sample it. Since having DS I haven't drunk much as I do worry about waking in the night but I felt a glass of this was enough to wind down with without the guilt. I was pleasantly surprised at the taste as a lot of low "whatever" products often are low in taste too, this how ever wasn't. I would happily go out and purchase a bottle or two.

  1. Which Vie variant did you try - white or rose? What did you think?

I had the rose. I really enjoyed it. A low alcohol drink is perfect for me as I'm breastfeeding and always on duty, but still want to sit downstairs and enjoy something other than tea!

  1. How would you describe the taste of Vie to your friends?

Soft and fruity. Like a weak rose, really.

  1. Would you recommend it to them? If so, why? If not, why not?

Absolutely. I think it's brilliant for parents that want to relax with a drink in the evening without the feeling of being drunk. Or anyone that has a busy schedule the next day.

  1. What would be the perfect 'Vie time' for you?

In the evening when DC are asleep and I know I don't have to go out anywhere.
Nice and quiet. Just the sound of me eating crisps.

  1. Did you know Blossom Hill Vie has 30% fewer calories than Blossom Hill still wine?

Yes, I read it somewhere since signing up for this. All the better, I say.

  1. Any other thoughts you'd like to share?

It would be nice to know what else is in it. Wine based drink could be anything. Although I guess it's just water and flavouring so wouldn't look too great on the label.
I assume this is similar to the weight watchers wine. But the label is much more sophisticated and proper wine looking. That would make me chose it over something else on the shelf.
Thanks for letting me try it. I will probably buy something like this again. Maybe try the white next time.

I tried the Rose wine as requested. I was quite looking forward to this as I enjoy wine but have not been able to drink it much due to breast feeding so this seemed like a good compromise.

I tasted it along with a few friends and was quite disappointed in it to be honest. It tastes nice yes, fruity and sweet but it didn't really seem like a wine. I would describe it more like a juice type taste and it just didn't feel the same as it would having a glass of wine.

However 2 of my friends who tried the wine, both of whom do not drink wine as they do not like the taste loved this. It seems like its fantastic for people who are not a fan of traditional wines as being lighter and sweet tasting it is easier to drink. For those who do enjoy a strongly flavoured wine like myself it was a let down.

I would recommend it as an alternative to someone who was not a dan of wine in general as that but not to a wine lover as it just does not live up to others on the market.

In terms of the perfect Vie time. I think it's a nice summer drink, quite refreshing. The same times as you would drink a fruit juice, which is what is seems to be albeit with alcohol included. For me a glass of wine is a wind down relaxing time, a treat to enjoy.

I did notice the lower calories yes as one friend testing alongside with me is currently dieting and so was concerned.

Overall it's not something that I would buy or drink again. Having drank some lovely wines previously this would never compare. One previously wine hating friend has been completely converted however and can't praise it enough.

  1. Which Vie variant did you try - white or rose? What did you think? I tried the white wine and I really enjoyed it, so did my DP :)

  1. How would you describe the taste of Vie to your friends? it's a nice light taste, not to strong like some other wines. Quite fresh and fruity, but also a bit watery.

  1. Would you recommend it to them? If so, why? If not, why not? I suppose I would, but I wouldn't highly recommend it. It's nice and great for summer. It would be perfect for having a couple of glasses while the kids are around without having to turn to alcopops.

  1. would be the perfect 'Vie time' for you? a hot summers day with the kids running round. I like something a little heavier in taste during the winter months.

  1. Did you know Blossom Hill Vie has 30% fewer calories than Blossom Hill still wine? I do now! I would probably drink it while dieting, I don't diet very often though.

1. Which Vie variant did you try - white or rose? What did you think?
Rose... DH summed it up on FB...
Regarding the product test of some low-alcohol Blossom Hill rosé wine on behalf of Mumsnet:
DH: Yurk... It's like wine, but without the bite!
Me: Yum... It's like wine, but without the bite!

2. How would you describe the taste of Vie to your friends?
I really liked it. Sweet but not too sweet, no nasty after taste and I really liked it. I thought it was quite light and refreshing.

3. Would you recommend it to them? If so, why? If not, why not?
Yes I would but probably to friends who (like me) aren't big wine fans. DH didn't like it and he does like a good wine, so it's probably not one he would recommend to fellow wine drinkers.

4. What would be the perfect 'Vie time' for you?
Tonight's wine testing was good. I'm now sat on the sofa in my PJs, drinking wine and on MN. DH is currently washing up Grin

5. Did you know Blossom Hill Vie has 30% fewer calories than Blossom Hill still wine?
Not before the test, but I did read it on the bottle label

6. Any other thoughts you'd like to share?
I'd definitely buy this wine again and have happily drink a glass full, don't feel giddy and quite enjoyed it, which is rare for me. Usually I have a mouthful of wine and either fill up the glass with lemonade or pour it into DH's glass Blush

  1. Which Vie variant did you try - white or rose? What did you think?

White. Immediate reaction was that it smelt beautiful. I am normally useless, and read all this 'with hints of' stuff on the side of the bottle, and can't tell the blindest bit of difference. I actually could with this!

  1. How would you describe the taste of Vie to your friends?

Half way between wine, and a pleasant fruit juice. It was sweet, but not actually as sweet as I had been expecting after seeing the numerous times 'sweet' was mentioned before opening it myself. Was probably just right for me.

  1. Would you recommend it to them? If so, why? If not, why not?

Yes to my friends that like sweet wines. Already have text a few of them actually Grin

  1. What would be the perfect 'Vie time' for you?

Hmm... Any time, really. Currently sat here with a glass of Vie, watching rubbish on the TV and a slice of cake. Can just as easily see myself sitting in the sunshine in four months time in the garden.

  1. Did you know Blossom Hill Vie has 30% fewer calories than Blossom Hill still wine?

I did indeed. Another tick in the box. Low calorie, low alcohol and full taste - I'm impressed!

  1. Any other thoughts you'd like to share?

Thank you for letting me try this. Pretty certain I will be buying some in the future :)

  1. Which Vie variant did you try - white or rose? What did you think?

I tried the white, it was fresh and fruity, reminded me more of sparkling juice such as shloer rather than wine though!

  1. How would you describe the taste of Vie to your friends?

Fruity and sweet, but not sickly! No bad after taste.

  1. Would you recommend it to them? If so, why? If not, why not?

I would recommend as something light, fruity and non offensive. Personally, I found it lacked a bit in body for a wine, and was more like a crisp and fruity sparkling juice.

  1. What would be the perfect 'Vie time' for you?

In the bath with a good magazine and a glass, chin chin! It would double up as a perfect summer wine !

  1. Did you know Blossom Hill Vie has 30% fewer calories than Blossom Hill still wine?

Yes, from reading material associated. I do not feel it's overly publicised on the bottle ; it states 5.5% alcohol on the front, has very small print on the back mentioning lesser calories. This is perhaps a missed marketing opportunity! I think the appeal could widen were this more blatant. I didn't instantly make the connection between the wine and 'Vie', although I like the name, it just didn't seem too obvious an association?

  1. Any other thoughts you'd like to share?

Thanks for letting me try! Will probably explore the rosé for my mother who tends to get rather squiffy on a normal glass.. She may even manage 2 with lessened calories and alcohol percentage ;)
