We've been asked by the team at McVitie's to find 50 testers to try their new Breakfast Biscuits. McVities say "Today more and more consumers are too busy, or start their commute too early, to enjoy breakfast at home; consequently the market for out of home breakfast solutions is fast-growing - and McVitie's Breakfast Biscuits provide the perfect answer. Using our passion for baking, we've created a range of unique recipes, specially designed for breakfast. We've taken a handful of hearty porridge oats and added a range of ingredients like fruit and honey to create sustaining and delicious breakfast biscuits".

The Breakfast Biscuits are baked until "perfectly golden, to enjoy as a part of a deliciously satisfying breakfast". They are also portion-wrapped in handy packets of four biscuits six packs per box. And available in Oats & Honey, Red Berries and Apple, Sultana & Cinnamon flavours.

RRP: £2.29 for a 6 pack carton

We need to find 50 UK based testers for this - we are especially looking for MNers who are on the look out for something new for breakfast and who like the sound of these new bars.

If you are selected to take part you'll be sent 3 packs - one of each variety and asked to try them over a few days. We'd then need you to add feedback to a thread on Mumsnet

Everyone who is selected as a tester and adds feedback as required will be entered into a prize draw where one winner will get a £250 voucher.

If you'd like to take part please add your details here

Thanks and good luck

I've 8 boxes of red berry too. Bit disappointed as I was looking forward to trying all the flavours.

EauRouge · 24/01/2013 08:47

Indith, try them dunked in a cup of tea- I did this and somehow manage to limit myself to only 2 biscuits. They are v dry on their own.

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 24/01/2013 10:44

DP likes them he's eaten half a box already Shock

I quite like them too but they are very sweet

justshootmenow · 24/01/2013 11:11

Also just received an outer with 8 boxes if red berries. Just about to try one with my coffee.

Molepom · 24/01/2013 12:12

I've just taken delivery of my red berries box of biscuits.

Will write a review on Sunday after we've had them for a couple of days.

justshootmenow · 24/01/2013 14:36

Have given a box to some workers chopping down some trees in exchange for the biscuits I have got loads of logs for my fire. And they all say that they are really tasty to have as a snack in their pocket as they work!
I've also tried them with the kids and we all like them despite them looking like they have been kicked around the warehouse!

Sorry about the this guys - we will start the feedback thread next week

You are sorry about sending me 192 biscuits? Really, don't be Grin

Molepom · 24/01/2013 17:07

Sorry about what?

Free biscuits? Don't be, I mean if you are really, really sorry you could send me another box. [greedy and hopeful]

Tee2072 · 24/01/2013 17:56

Well I haven't tried them yet but DH and son aren't too impressed. And there's a lot of biscuits....

AnnMumsnet · 24/01/2013 19:13

Sorry it's not 3 flavours...and glad no one is too grumpy about the misunderstanding Grin.

Does everyone have red berries? If anyone has different I'd be happy to swap some?

FrillyMilly · 24/01/2013 20:37

I was really looking forward to the oats and honey flavour too. I'm handing mine out to anyone who will take one. I do enjoy biscuits but its quite daunting having so many.

Indith · 25/01/2013 13:11

Well ds1 likes them. He asked me this morning when i was going to send the message to the company to tell them that the biscuits are nice :). That is rather a lot of biscuits for a small boy to get through!

I was looking forward to the other flavlours too, shame they managed to send me the ones I was least likely to like!

MrsHelsBels74 · 25/01/2013 13:35

I saw someone eating some of these this morning & was dying to ask if she was a MNter but thought it would sound too weird if she wasn't Grin

LargeLatte · 25/01/2013 16:01

Thank goodness. I did a double take as the delivery driver drop off almost 200 biscuits. Then thought I'd better 'fess up. So glad I am not alone. DC love them. Will dish a few boxes out for people to try as I've got so many.

KindleMum · 25/01/2013 16:59

Both the kids love them so far. I'm finding them too dry unless with a cup of tea though. Too dry to eat on the run IMO but the DS and DD will happily eat them without a drink.

Iggity · 26/01/2013 21:50

Neighbour took mine in while at work. Cringing at what they must have thought. DH thinks it's great!

alibobins · 27/01/2013 21:49

alibobins · 27/01/2013 21:50

Me too

AlexReidsLonelyBraincell · 28/01/2013 10:18

Thank goodness I found this.
I received a huge box of red berry biscuits this morning and thought there had been some mistake. Plenty for the family to test, and I'll be taking some into work for my team to try, nurses sure know their biscuits. Grin

justshootmenow · 29/01/2013 12:00

They are half price at Waitrose did consider stocking up!
