We're looking for 20 Mumsnetters to try Philips PerfectCare Xpress the World's first pressurised steam iron, with "revolutionary OptimalTEMP technology and compact steam generator, it's built for powerful crease removal and is faster than any other steam iron, as tested by independent institute, DWI, June 2011".

Here's what Philips say about the product: "PerfectCare Xpress has no settings, just one perfect temperature that's safe on all ironable fabrics, even delicates. Iron from jeans to silk, to linen, to cotton, to cashmere...in any order, without having to adjust the temperature, it's 100% scorch proof! Plus with an automatic motion steam sensor inside ironing has never been easier. Compact and convenient for storage it's perfect for ironing small loads, every day"

This product test is open to all UK Mumsnetters. Testers will be required to try the iron out over the course of a week and add feedback to a thread on Mumsnet. We'd also like you to add a review to MN reviews to let us know how you get on.

To sign up click here.

All those who are selected to take part and leave the required feedback on Mumsnet will receive the PerfectCare Xpress to keep (RRP £120).

Thanks and good luck,

MNHQ

I've done it. Would love to try a new iron, mine is on the blink, but not sure what to go for as my last 2 iron decisions haven't been good ones!

Parisbanana · 05/11/2012 20:31

I would but since I got to go on an ironing fun day and received a super duper fancydan iron courtesy of mumsnet some years ago, I feel it would be greedy! Have to say those irons are wonderful Smile

NettleTea · 05/11/2012 20:34

ive added myself to the mix, but as I dont iron at all, Im probably not a good one to judge. HOWEVER something fast and efficient might just persuade me.....

TheMummyLovesAScareFest · 05/11/2012 20:36

an ironing funday! not 2 words i'd expect to hear together!

Parisbanana · 05/11/2012 20:39

It was such a laugh! We had coffee and very nice pastries on arrival, then a demo by a world champion ironed, then a very nice lunch, then we got our trickiest clothes ironed for us, then we got a goodie bag. A couple of days later we each received a £200 iron to try and keep.
Great day and the iron is fab.
Smile

FrustratedSycamoreBonks · 05/11/2012 20:46

Ooh I could use a decent iron.

janey1234 · 05/11/2012 20:49

Yes me please!!

SirBoobAlot · 05/11/2012 21:00

An iron that doesn't hurt to use, I don't have to faff around with settings on, and doesn't take forever to iron... Yes please!!

madamy · 05/11/2012 21:07

Done - hate ironing with a passion so this ones to see if I can be persuaded to change my mind!

notso · 05/11/2012 21:11

Just been drooling over researching the iron, if it does what it says it will be amazing.

stayathomegardener · 05/11/2012 21:35

Oh my goodness I am your perfect tester!Smile

Even on the hottest setting I still end up with creases in sheets, the product actually sounds too good to be true, the science behind it would be interesting.

And so many good uses,my mother is in the early stages of Alzheimers and a one setting product would be great for her.

thekatsatonthematt · 05/11/2012 21:36

Sounds amazing. Pick me!

Dwagon · 05/11/2012 21:44

Done: I iron anything I can throw on the board, but my trusty steamer has developed a sticky bottom so a new iron would be v welcome

BlatherskiteOfTheLivingDead · 05/11/2012 21:48

Done. DH and I are in the middle of an iron settings battle at the moment so this could solve some arguements

Lyftiduft · 05/11/2012 21:55

I can't get the survey to submit once I've filled it in... DH will be disappointed as it's him who'd test it! :(

Sarahplane · 05/11/2012 22:01

Done

mariel · 05/11/2012 22:12

me! me! me! would love to try one of these!!

Lilpickle08 · 05/11/2012 22:35

Done! Less time ironing = more time to eat cake, and that's got to be a good thing

AnnMumsnet · 05/11/2012 22:40

Parisbanana hello... I was there too! It was a fun day wasn't it?

Er, ironing?

That's the basket of crumpled clothes I give to my ironing fairy once a week. She brings it back, beautifully ironed, on hangers, ready to put away.
I give her the £12 she charges. Everyone's happy Grin

MildlyMiserable · 05/11/2012 23:05

Done, I love well ironed clothes but hate doing the work with my current iron.
