Do you think you would recommend the range to your friends and family (if it came up in conversation)?
Did you enjoy the taste of the rice pots? Did your children enjoy the taste of the rice pots?
Did you or your family / children have a particular favourite flavour? Which was the most popular? Which was least popular?
Which size pot did you prefer?
When would you / your family be most likely to eat the rice pots?
Would you include a rice pot in your child?s lunchbox or on a picnic?
Would you say that the range is good value for money? (recommended prices are: 500g Sharing Pot, £1.39, 190g Rice Pots in Devon Custard, 65p, 120g Rice Pots in Apple and Chocolate, 45p, 115g Light Rice, 49p, 145g Rice + in Strawberry Jam and Raspberry Jam, 69p)

Overall, did you enjoy the Ambrosia rice pot range?
Yes, although we found some of the flavoured ones too sweet. Overall I think we prefer the plain ones.

Would you buy any of the pots again? If so, which ones?
I usually buy the small plain pots as treats, and I might buy the larger pots - apple and custard - which my children could share (they're 4&2)

Do you think you would recommend the range to your friends and family (if it came up in conversation)?
Possibly

Did you enjoy the taste of the rice pots? Did your children enjoy the taste of the rice pots?
My daughter quite liked the chocolate one - I didn't try it. She really liked the novelty of the jam one (she's never seen fancy corner yoghurts before!) but got about half way through eating it and then said she didn't want any more and it was too sweet. I liked the custard flavour and also the apple.

Did you or your family / children have a particular favourite flavour? Which was the most popular? Which was least popular?
Didn't like the jam one - too sweet for us. I probably liked the custard one best as it didn't taste too artificial. My daughter liked the chocolate.

Which size pot did you prefer?
I quite liked the larger pots as they're a nice size for me and a good size for sharing between the two children at the moment. I'll probably still buy the smaller 4 packs though, as I think the bigger pots are too big for a 4 year old to eat all of.

When would you / your family be most likely to eat the rice pots?
As a treat after the children's tea, or if we're out.

Would you include a rice pot in your child?s lunchbox or on a picnic?
Yes

Would you say that the range is good value for money? (recommended prices are: 500g Sharing Pot, £1.39, 190g Rice Pots in Devon Custard, 65p, 120g Rice Pots in Apple and Chocolate, 45p, 115g Light Rice, 49p, 145g Rice + in Strawberry Jam and Raspberry Jam, 69p)
Seems reasonable, yes.

Have you bought or do you think you will buy any products from the range following the test?
I think I would consider buying some of these, but I dont think I would have done had I not done the test!

apple76 · 12/10/2012 20:53

Finished up our pots tonights, so here's our feedback.

Overall, did you enjoy the Ambrosia rice pot range?
Yes, although I wasn't so keen on the light version.

Would you buy any of the pots again? If so, which ones?
Yes, the plain rice pudding, the rice with chocolate and the Rice + Raspberry Jam - that was a favourite!

Do you think you would recommend the range to your friends and family (if it came up in conversation)?
Yes, I like the fact they can be warmed up easily for kids.

Did you enjoy the taste of the rice pots? Did your children enjoy the taste of the rice pots?
Yes, apart from the light rice which has an odd taste. I love the original rice anyway, and the added flavours were generally good.

Did you or your family / children have a particular favourite flavour? Which was the most popular? Which was least popular?
Our least favourite was the apple, but we still ate it all!
My son loved the rice and custard, and the rice and chocolate. I loved the rice and raspberry jam!

Which size pot did you prefer?
The 120g pots are generally big enough. We found the 190g pots too big - and certainly my son wouldn't eat a whole one. I can't think that we would buy the big 500g sharing pot either, that is too big even for 3 of us.

When would you / your family be most likely to eat the rice pots?
After dinner in the evening, especially this time of year as they can be heated.

Would you include a rice pot in your child?s lunchbox or on a picnic?
Yes, although not every day. I might alternate with yogurts etc.

Pricing is reasonable, but not value for money so it would probably be a treat rather than a staple pudding. I'd be more inclined to buy multipacks.

Have you bought or do you think you will buy any products from the range following the test?
I will more than likely buy the Ambrosia pots, we like them a lot and have enjoyed sampling all the flavours!

Thank you!

CocoaCloset · 12/10/2012 21:10

Overall, did you enjoy the Ambrosia rice pot range?

Yes in general we did really enjoy them

Would you buy any of the pots again? If so, which ones?

Yes, would buy the large pot as it was good for sharing as a pudding. May also buy the jam corner sized one again.

Do you think you would recommend the range to your friends and family (if it came up in conversation)?

If asked, yes I would recommend

Did you enjoy the taste of the rice pots? Did your children enjoy the taste of the rice pots?

Pots were enjoyed more by adults than dd - she only really liked the jam one (and the original with jam added)

Did you or your family / children have a particular favourite flavour? Which was the most popular? Which was least popular?

Everyone liked the original flavour. Chocolate, jam and custard were also well received. My granda has asked if we can be sent some more so he can be certain of his favourite!

Apple was the least favourite it was synthetic tasting and mushy and tasted like it should have been heated up even though it said you could have it cold.

Which size pot did you prefer?

Biggest one was good for sharing, middle size one was best for an individual adult portion. Smallest one only good for kids as tiny.

When would you / your family be most likely to eat the rice pots?

Most likely as a pudding at teatime.

Would you include a rice pot in your child?s lunchbox or on a picnic?

Maybe on a picnic

Would you say that the range is good value for money? (recommended prices are: 500g Sharing Pot, £1.39, 190g Rice Pots in Devon Custard, 65p, 120g Rice Pots in Apple and Chocolate, 45p, 115g Light Rice, 49p, 145g Rice + in Strawberry Jam and Raspberry Jam, 69p)

What I would expect to pay

Have you bought or do you think you will buy any products from the range following the test?

Would buy again maybe once a month or so, or when an offer was on.

smaths · 12/10/2012 22:15

Overall, did you enjoy the Ambrosia rice pot range?
Yes, I did, very much! And so did my DD aged 1

Would you buy any of the pots again? If so, which ones?
I would buy the plain ones, the apple one and maybe the custard one again. Probably not the devon custard one (it was ok, but I'd rather have custard on its own) nor the jam one either (a faffy shape of pot and I'd just add my own jam). Definitely wouldn't touch the light one again.

Do you think you would recommend the range to your friends and family (if it came up in conversation)?
Yes, I probably would, if it came up in conversation.

Did you enjoy the taste of the rice pots? Did your children enjoy the taste of the rice pots?
Yes, I thought they were lovely and it's brilliant that you don't have to keep them refrigerated (before opening).

Did you or your family / children have a particular favourite flavour? Which was the most popular? Which was least popular?
I thought the apple one was delicious and also enjoyed the chocolate one, it was quite chocolatey without being too sweet. Plain is always a winner, as well, I love it! I was less keen on the devon custard one. It was too sweet and if I want custard, I'll have custard - not in my rice pudding. DD seemed to love them all. She ate the whole 190g apple one bar about 3 spoonfuls (for me to taste) on her own, after having already had dinner! I wasn't all that fussed on the light one either.

Which size pot did you prefer?
I thought the 120g pots were a perfect size for snack or kids lunchbox. The 190g is a good size for an adult, though rather indulgent. The 115g light pot was an odd shape which made it seem much smaller, even though there was only 5g less - I felt a bit short-changed eating it. I would not buy a 500g pot - seems a bit pointless as you'd never eat it in one sitting and it doesn't come with a resealable lid. I didn't like the shape of the rice-with-jam pot. I don't really see the point in adding in the jam rather than just having it in with the rice like the other flavours.

When would you / your family be most likely to eat the rice pots?
As a snack (me) or as a dessert after a meal (dd)

Would you include a rice pot in your child?s lunchbox or on a picnic?
I would, when she's old enough and if we ever had the weather for a picnic in northern ireland! Not every day maybe, but as a treat

Would you say that the range is good value for money?
Yes I would definitely buy the 45p and 65p pots but would probably be more inclined to buy 5 of the small ones for £2 or similar.

Have you bought or do you think you will buy any products from the range following the test?
Yes I probably will buy more of the plain ones and add my own flavourings as I love rice pud and a couple of weeks before this test came up was actually looking for individual portion pots on tesco online but in the absence of any just made my own.

bulletwithspookybatwings · 13/10/2012 09:44

Overall, did you enjoy the Ambrosia rice pot range?
Yes, although the rice pudding seemed to taste a little blander than the last time I ate it a few months ago.
Would you buy any of the pots again? If so, which ones?
Yes, the Chocolate pots.
Do you think you would recommend the range to your friends and family (if it came up in conversation)?
Maybe, if I had seen it on offer somewhere
Did you enjoy the taste of the rice pots? Did your children enjoy the taste of the rice pots?
I found the rice pudding to be a little bland. DS enjoyed the ones he ate. DP thought that the custard rice pudding was disappointing, and prefers the Muller rice equivalent.
Did you or your family / children have a particular favourite flavour? Which was the most popular? Which was least popular?
DS liked the Jam one the best, I like the Apple one, but it could have done with more apple.
Which size pot did you prefer?
The smaller size, as DS is 3 so it's a good size for him.
When would you / your family be most likely to eat the rice pots?
After nursery snack or as pudding
Would you include a rice pot in your child?s lunchbox or on a picnic?
I might do, the pot doesn't fit in DS's lunchbox though!
Yes, but I would probably still be more inclined to buy tinned rice pudding.
Have you bought or do you think you will buy any products from the range following the test?
I will probably buy the chocolate and jam ones at some point as DS enjoyed them.

Thanks for the opportunity to try them all!

melliebobs · 13/10/2012 16:33

Overall, did you enjoy the Ambrosia rice pot range?
i'm not usually a fan of rice pudding (maybe my mum just doesn't make a nice home made one) but these were ok. I wasn't disgusted! DD who is 7 month REALLY enjoyed them!

Would you buy any of the pots again? If so, which ones?
It would depend on the price compared to shops own, but out of any of them i'd say the devon custard one

Do you think you would recommend the range to your friends and family (if it came up in conversation)?
Yes. It allready has and discussed with my mum the devon custard one was nice

Did you enjoy the taste of the rice pots? Did your children enjoy the taste of the rice pots?
DD liked the one from the 500g tub. I liked the custard one but the apple and the chocolate one was really artificial

Did you or your family / children have a particular favourite flavour? Which was the most popular? Which was least popular?
We didn't like the chocolate, we did like the devon custard

Which size pot did you prefer?
115-120g

When would you / your family be most likely to eat the rice pots?
As a midweek desert when I can't be bothered to make anything more substantial

Would you include a rice pot in your child?s lunchbox or on a picnic?
I don't think so as I prefered them warm

Would you say that the range is good value for money? (recommended prices are: 500g Sharing Pot, £1.39, 190g Rice Pots in Devon Custard, 65p, 120g Rice Pots in Apple and Chocolate, 45p, 115g Light Rice, 49p, 145g Rice + in Strawberry Jam and Raspberry Jam, 69p)
Looking at that yes, but i'd like to see how it would compare to the supermarket equivelent

Have you bought or do you think you will buy any products from the range following the test?
Devon custard rice pudding

Mandz07 · 13/10/2012 17:01

Overall, did you enjoy the Ambrosia rice pot range?
I am not a fan of creamed rice! however i did try each of the flavoursand did enjoy the apple, and choc rice (even if i did only get a spoonful). DC'S 8,3 & 2 also tried each flavour. 2yr old same as me not a big fan did eat the chocolate.

Would you buy any of the pots again? If so, which ones?
I have already bought some of the jam, custard and chocolate and plann on buying more at my next shop.

Do you think you would recommend the range to your friends and family (if it came up in conversation)?
have already mentioned to a few friends and my parents who have now purchased.

Did you enjoy the taste of the rice pots? Did your children enjoy the taste of the rice pots?
children really enjoyed, they caused a few fights in my house when they arrived

Did you or your family / children have a particular favourite flavour? Which was the most popular? Which was least popular?
the most popular was the choc and the jam. least popular was low fat

Which size pot did you prefer?
the snack size pots were perfect for the kids

When would you / your family be most likely to eat the rice pots?
I would give the kid these at lunch time or a dessert

Would you include a rice pot in your child?s lunchbox or on a picnic?
yes 8yr old has already had with packed lunch and DH has taken with him during night shift

Would you say that the range is good value for money? (recommended prices are: 500g Sharing Pot, £1.39, 190g Rice Pots in Devon Custard, 65p, 120g Rice Pots in Apple and Chocolate, 45p, 115g Light Rice, 49p, 145g Rice + in Strawberry Jam and Raspberry Jam, 69p)
yes the price is good value

Have you bought or do you think you will buy any products from the range following the test?
will defo be buying again

highlandbird · 13/10/2012 21:50

Overall, did you enjoy the Ambrosia rice pot range?
Not especially, and to be honest, not as much as I expected to.
Would you buy any of the pots again? If so, which ones?
Probably not, I think I'll stick to yoghurt.
Do you think you would recommend the range to your friends and family (if it came up in conversation)?
probably not, not that I would say it was awful either.
Did you enjoy the taste of the rice pots? Did your children enjoy the taste of the rice pots?
My son (18 months) tried a mouthful and spat it out, probably to do with the texture of the rice in it he probably expected it to be yoghurt! He wouldn't try it again. I didn't dislike the taste but maybe found it slightly bland. Husband wasn't keen.
Did you or your family / children have a particular favourite flavour? Which was the most popular? Which was least popular?
Most popular - apple and custard flavours, least popular was the chocolate which I really found unpleasant, and jam which was far, far too sweet. Also disliked the extra plastic with the jam one.
Which size pot did you prefer?
120g was the right portion size for us, 190g too big for one person.
When would you / your family be most likely to eat the rice pots?
as a pudding after main meal or a snack in between meals.
Would you include a rice pot in your child?s lunchbox or on a picnic?
no.
Would you say that the range is good value for money? (recommended prices are: 500g Sharing Pot, £1.39, 190g Rice Pots in Devon Custard, 65p, 120g Rice Pots in Apple and Chocolate, 45p, 115g Light Rice, 49p, 145g Rice + in Strawberry Jam and Raspberry Jam, 69p)
yes, and would expect to see them in multibuy offers.
Have you bought or do you think you will buy any products from the range following the test?
probably not, sorry.

boysathomeonly · 14/10/2012 09:28

Overall, we have enjoyed the rice pots and will be buying them again. Our favourite were: jam, custard and apple. Also I liked the 500g big pot as it works well with topping of your own and makes a good base for pudding.
The least popular were the light one (very odd, artificial taste) and a chocolate one (not chocolaty at all, terrible ingredients).
I would use them as a mid afternoon snack or after tea for children. For me it would make a nice mid morning snack at work. I would like to see slightly lower prices of jam pots. If they were cheaper without a corner but just as a layered version then I would be more willing to buy them. (about 60p). I thought the sharing pot is a good value.

gazzalw · 14/10/2012 16:34

Only picked up the Ambrosia pots yesterday so it will be a few days before I can get back to you - watch this space.....

trudat · 14/10/2012 20:53

Overall, did you enjoy the Ambrosia rice pot range?

We usually have a few pots of rice and custard in the house for treat puddings although recently we've been experimenting with own brand due to cost cutting. Kids like them.

Would you buy any of the pots again? If so, which ones?

Yes. Probably not the big pots as dh and I wouldn't eat and won't give to the dc more than once a week so it'd go off. Liked the corner but would be fine as a layered pot rather than a segregated one. (Presumably, it would be cheaper too)

Do you think you would recommend the range to your friends and family (if it came up in conversation)?

Probably, but i would also say that own brands are just as well recieved by my dc's. I prefer Ambrosia!

Did you enjoy the taste of the rice pots? Did your children enjoy the taste of the rice pots?

Yes, we all did, very much.

Did you or your family / children have a particular favourite flavour? Which was the most popular? Which was least popular?

My son liked the custard. I thought it a bit too rich. I didn't like the low fat as it had a strange aftertaste.

Which size pot did you prefer?

The smallest one is ok for the kids. Might even be a market for a smaller still pot as both my dc's are under 3 and my youngest left a few spoonfuls. I liked the 145g as a snack for myself.

When would you / your family be most likely to eat the rice pots?

Probably after dinner on a weeknight as it can be a rushed affair. Nice to have a warm pudding now the weathers on the turn as an alternative to a cold yoghurt.

Would you include a rice pot in your child?s lunchbox or on a picnic?

Hadn't thought of picnic use but yes, they would be good as they don't need to be kept cool.

Atm everything is too expensive, but, despite that I would still find it hard to justify it if there was an own brand cheaper on the shelf. The dc's don't dislike the others so silly to spend more on a name. If it was just for me and money wasn't an issue i would only buy ambrosia. I was obviously spoilt by my mother Smile

Have you bought or do you think you will buy any products from the range following the test?

Not unless they were on offer, I'm afraid.

Thank you for the opportunity to taste them all.

mungojerrie · 14/10/2012 20:55

Probably not.

Did you enjoy the taste of the rice pots? Did your children enjoy the taste of the rice pots?
I loathe rice pudding and the pots did not change my mind. but the kids liked them.

Did you or your family / children have a particular favourite flavour? Which was the most popular? Which was least popular?
Any - the custardy ones warmed up were popular.

Which size pot did you prefer?
Depends on the occasion.

When would you / your family be most likely to eat the rice pots?
After school snack.

Yes

Have you bought or do you think you will buy any products from the range following the test?
Yes. They are really good for instant energy - DS plays a lot of sport and I will put a snack size pot in his packed lunch to give him a boost.

Any other comments?
DS liked the chocolate flavour but was disappointed to find it was all at the bottom so he had almost finished before he could stir. He will know next time. He was v impressed with the amount of jam in the jammy one.

Thank you!

Overall, did you enjoy the Ambrosia rice pot range?
Enjoyed the rice pots, did try the custard but still don't like it
Would you buy any of the pots again? If so, which ones?
The rice & jam was lovely and I already buy the other rice pots
Do you think you would recommend the range to your friends and family (if it came up in conversation)?
Yes I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them, especially the rice and jam pots
Did you enjoy the taste of the rice pots? Did your children enjoy the taste of the rice pots?
I loved them as I am a bit of an ambrosia lover anyway. I have been trying to educate the DC's. They tried a bit of the chocolate pot but are not yet keen on the texture. They do like the custard though
Did you or your family / children have a particular favourite flavour? Which was the most popular? Which was least popular?
For me the Jam and rice was lovely, the DC's enjoyed the custard. I am not keen on the custard and despite numerous tries the DC's did not enjoy the rice pudding. DH wouldn't try anything!
Which size pot did you prefer?
The rice and jam were a good size, as are the individual pots. The sharing pot is too dangerous. I did eat it all in one go Blush
When would you / your family be most likely to eat the rice pots?
puddings, snacks,
Would you include a rice pot in your child?s lunchbox or on a picnic?
If there was a smaller child sized one I would as DS is asking for different things in his lunchbox, but I worry he wouldn't eat it all and then the mess would be horrendous
I think the pricing is very reasonable
Have you bought or do you think you will buy any products from the range
following the test?

I am definitely considering adding rice and jam to my shopping list

Overall, did you enjoy the Ambrosia rice pot range?

Yes, we did

Would you buy any of the pots again? If so, which ones?

We would buy the plain one and the chocolate one again and also the rice and jam.

Do you think you would recommend the range to your friends and family (if it came up in conversation)?

Yes, I would.

Did you enjoy the taste of the rice pots? Did your children enjoy the taste of the rice pots?

We all enjoyed the taste. My children particiularly liked the chocolate and the rice and jam pots. Husband like the custard one (he loves custard). We all like the rice and jam and thought the jam had a good raspberry flavour and was nice and tart in comparison to the sweet rice.

Did you or your family / children have a particular favourite flavour? Which was the most popular? Which was least popular?

Chocolate was the favourite and custard was the least favourite.

Which size pot did you prefer?

The 120g pots are a useful size for indivdual portions for picnics etc, I liked the large pot which would be useful for a family dessert.

When would you / your family be most likely to eat the rice pots?

I would buy a large pot as a dessert and the smaller ones for picnics

Would you include a rice pot in your child?s lunchbox or on a picnic?

I would use them for picnics and probably for a lunch box treat.

I think they are all good value and comparable to similar products available.

Have you bought or do you think you will buy any products from the range following the test?

Yes, I will buy them.

Further comments

It isn't very easy to tell the flavour from the packaging, I think it needs to be clearer.

We didn't realise that the flavour was at the bottom so ate a couple before seeing that they needed to be stirred to get the full flavour. This would be a disadvantage for children's lunchboxes as they probably wouldn't realise they needed to stir.

Do you think you would recommend the range to your friends and family (if it came up in conversation)?
No

Did you enjoy the taste of the rice pots? Did your children enjoy the taste of the rice pots?
I didn't like them the light rice was very sweet but a bit watery, the others just very sweet.
My son liked them all (especially the jam). My partner liked the custard one.

Did you or your family / children have a particular favourite flavour? Which was the most popular? Which was least popular?
See above.

Which size pot did you prefer?
Rice +

When would you / your family be most likely to eat the rice pots?
As pudding after evening meal.

Would you include a rice pot in your child?s lunchbox or on a picnic?

Reasonable bu tthe smaller ones are too expensive for a lunch box

Have you bought or do you think you will buy any products from the range following the test?
Perhaps jam as a special treat for my son.

littledid · 16/10/2012 16:08

Overall, did you enjoy the Ambrosia rice pot range?
They were OK, but generally we found them a bit bland.
Would you buy any of the pots again? If so, which ones?
It would depend largely on the promotions available as Muller rice are in the same market and have really good promotions.
Do you think you would recommend the range to your friends and family (if it came up in conversation)?
No, not until the recipes improve
Did you enjoy the taste of the rice pots? Did your children enjoy the taste of the rice pots?
I wasn't madly keen on them as they were a bit bland for my taste. I thought our children would enjoy them, but they didn't finish off the smaller pots, with the exception of the chocolate one. The Light Rice was the one I was most looking forward to but I didn't like the chalky aftertaste.
Did you or your family / children have a particular favourite flavour? Which was the most popular? Which was least popular?
The chocolate one was the most popular and the plain one the least.
Which size pot did you prefer?
The smallest size (45g)
When would you / your family be most likely to eat the rice pots?
As a dessert after our evening meal or as a snack when the children get home from school.
Would you include a rice pot in your child?s lunchbox or on a picnic?
No. I prefer 'healthier' options such as a yoghurt or a piece of fruit. I think the rice pot would come back largely uneaten.
They are not bad but other companies have promotions that would equal, if not better, those prices
Have you bought or do you think you will buy any products from the range following the test?
No, sorry. They were not for us, but thank you for the testing opportunity!

SoThisisMe · 16/10/2012 16:34

Overall, did you enjoy the Ambrosia rice pot range?

Yes, they are nice and it was good to have something new to try.

Would you buy any of the pots again? If so, which ones?

The raspberry + Jam and the chocolate for DD. I liked the custard.

Do you think you would recommend the range to your friends and family (if it came up in conversation)?

Yes I would

Did you enjoy the taste of the rice pots? Did your children enjoy the taste of the rice pots?

Yes I did and DD (4) loved them.

Did you or your family / children have a particular favourite flavour? Which was the most popular? Which was least popular?

The raspberry + Jam and the chocolate for DD. I'm sure she'd like the strawberry one too. I liked the custard, but was disappointed with the apple as I felt the flavour was not strong enough

Which size pot did you prefer?

The little ones were ideal for desert for DD. I liked the 190g ones as a snack size.

When would you / your family be most likely to eat the rice pots?

Desert or snack

Would you include a rice pot in your child?s lunchbox or on a picnic?

Probably not because we both prefer to eat them warm.

Would you say that the range is good value for money?

I'd probably only buy them if they were on offer, but that's how I buy all desert/ yogurt / snack type food.

Have you bought or do you think you will buy any products from the range following the test?

Yes, if I saw them on offer I would.

RachelHRD · 16/10/2012 19:26

Overall, did you enjoy the Ambrosia rice pot range?
Yes I love rice pudding so was more than happy to test all of them! I'm also on a diet so find the fact that they are relatively low calorie and low fat good and that they are filling an added bonus. Would have loved to have tried the custard too :)

Would you buy any of the pots again? If so, which ones?
Yes I loved the Devon custard one and the strawberry and chocolate mini pots. Wasn't as keen on the light one as it seemed to have a slightly odd taste but that might just be that I ate them cold as we don't have a microwave! The fruit pot one was also nice

Do you think you would recommend the range to your friends and family (if it came up in conversation)?
Yes definitely

Did you enjoy the taste of the rice pots? Did your children enjoy the taste of the rice pots?
Yes - apart from the light one. Sadly my 2 are both at fussy stages at the moment and wouldn't try more than a mouthful - all the more for me though!

Did you or your family / children have a particular favourite flavour? Which was the most popular? Which was least popular?
For me the custard one was my favourite, light my least favourite.

Which size pot did you prefer?
I like the mini pots for a quick filling snack and the 190g pots for a pudding. The family pot would be great to use over a week if my 2 would eat it!

When would you / your family be most likely to eat the rice pots?
As a daytime snack or pudding

Would you include a rice pot in your child?s lunchbox or on a picnic?
Yes if they would eat it - nice and easy to pop in a lunchbox and great that they don't need refrigerating.

Would you say that the range is good value for money?
Yes comparable with other similar ranges - even better when on offer!

veryconfusedatthemoment · 16/10/2012 21:39

Overall, did you enjoy the Ambrosia rice pot range? Not all of them, no

Would you buy any of the pots again? If so, which ones? Possibly Devon custard and separate jam

Do you think you would recommend the range to your friends and family (if it came up in conversation)? No

Did you enjoy the taste of the rice pots? Did your children enjoy the taste of the rice pots? This was interesting DS (age 7) nabbed the chocolate one - left half, nabbed an apple one - left half. He has a really sweet tooth but wasnt enjoying those. I didnt like how runny they seemed to be. They were also very sweet.

Did you or your family / children have a particular favourite flavour? Which was the most popular? Which was least popular? Most popular with added jam

Which size pot did you prefer? Normal size - little one too small and large one is too big for a family of 2!

When would you / your family be most likely to eat the rice pots? Pudding after tea or lunch

Would you include a rice pot in your child?s lunchbox or on a picnic? No

Would you say that the range is good value for money? (recommended prices are: 500g Sharing Pot, £1.39, 190g Rice Pots in Devon Custard, 65p, 120g Rice Pots in Apple and Chocolate, 45p, 115g Light Rice, 49p, 145g Rice + in Strawberry Jam and Raspberry Jam, 69p). Yes it seems to be good value for money for a pudding.

Have you bought or do you think you will buy any products from the range following the test. Not particularly

MildredIsMyAlterEgo · 16/10/2012 22:47

Overall, did you enjoy the Ambrosia rice pot range?
yes, very much so

Would you buy any of the pots again? If so, which ones?
The rice with custard was particularly lovely. I will have to curtail my consumption

Do you think you would recommend the range to your friends and family (if it came up in conversation)?
I can't imagine it coming up in conversation Smile although if it did, then yes I would recommend the range (all bar the apple one)

Did you enjoy the taste of the rice pots? Did your children enjoy the taste of the rice pots?
Yes, all except the apple one

Did you or your family / children have a particular favourite flavour? Which was the most popular? Which was least popular?
Custard was the best, yum yum. The apple was not nice at all, very synthetic taste. I was quite disappointed as I was looking forward to this one

Which size pot did you prefer?
The 120g pot is ideal

When would you / your family be most likely to eat the rice pots?
As a snack, a dessert, or even just out and about with my 23mo DS (the chocolate one kept him nicely quiet while an eternity passed by waiting for my mother to re-emerge from a well-known department store's changing room)

Would you include a rice pot in your child?s lunchbox or on a picnic?
Yes, certainly

Would you say that the range is good value for money? (recommended prices are: 500g Sharing Pot, £1.39, 190g Rice Pots in Devon Custard, 65p, 120g Rice Pots in Apple and Chocolate, 45p, 115g Light Rice, 49p, 145g Rice + in Strawberry Jam and Raspberry Jam, 69p)
I can't deny that I would be happier if they were less expensive

Have you bought or do you think you will buy any products from the range following the test?
I haven't bought any yet, but I will definitely be buying the custard one
