Yes I use Amazon all the time for ease and convenience (I work full time with 3 DS under 5 so difficult to get to an actual shop without it being a totally traumatic experience). So I tended to buy baby equipment such as Korbell bin bags, bottles, sippy cups etc. Have never bought nappies and I looked at the offers on nappies and they didn't beat my local supermarket so wouldn't do so.

I like the way baby stuff is grouped together making it easy to go to the area you want. I already have 3 DS so I have all the equipment already so perhaps it would be better if the offers were more relevant for whether you have children already or not, rather than assuming you are having your first child. Better offers on bulky things like nappies would be good. Best thing is the Prime delivery access.

NO I have haven't as the offers were for first time mothers getting equipment for the first time. I have already got everything i need.

• The next day delivery is brilliant. I've just ordered a car seat and more nappies. It's great that I'll be getting them tomorrow. I really like how it's family orientated. I would like to see a link at the top (say, next to 'Heidi's Amazon') for Amazon family though so that you can easily go to the Amazon family homepage and see what the latest offers are.

Yep I absolutely love Amazon and have been a Prime member for last 4 or 5 years. It's fab for next day free delivery and basically means you can shop at Amazon prices but with no extra postage cost (if you buy enough during the year the £49 is easily miniscule when looked at a per item basis). Also, living in NI, Internet postage costs can often be prohibitive (the dreaded 'Highlands and Islands' postage rip off!) but this means I can buy anything at no extra cost. I buy loads of stuff- kids clothes, shoes etc and when expecting my recent baby bought nappies, steriliser, bottles, bottle brush, soothers, and all sorts of other assorted baby equipment.

Really liked it - great that everything was grouped together and tailored. My husband is dreading me spending more now I've found it but it will be saving us money I'm sure ;-)

Yes, I have shopped for baby products, mainly gifts for family members such as baby toys and children's toys. I also buy things for my own children such as toys, dress up costumes, games etc.

I like the fact you get £10 off a £50 spend and the quick delivery is good also. Nice to receive extra offers although I haven't received many emails regarding these extra offers yet. It would be nice to have an extra money off offer such as £5 of a £25 spend in the first 3 months also.. Nothing I disliked really.

I am planning to use the £5 off any Bt baby monitors as I was planning on buying this exact brand of monitor anyway. Just checking in on this thread as I have also been charged straight away for the Amazon prime at the huge cost of £49!!!

Am so annoyed, despite making a few savings with the offers, I am £49 out of pocket. I am very annoyed about it as the communication I received on the emails from them and infact the OP from Mumsnet implies that there is free membership of Amazon Prime if you join Amazon Family.

I am actually waiting in today for some orders which of course I used the Prime service for as I thought it was included/free, so I am hoping that they will not use that as an excuse not to refund. I actually don't care if my packages take a few days.

I really think MNHQ should change this thread as it really is very misleading. What is the point of the good baby offers if they are automatically charging £50 for some super speedy delivery club that most of us can probably do without !!!

I joined Prime for 1 day a few months ago then cancelled as I realised I didn't really have a need for it. IME the goods from amazon arrive pretty prompty even when you have free delivery. However, they have refunded my payment anyway :)

I am quite keen on Amazon family so will probably stay with it although that does depend on the cost - I'm not sure if there are costs later on...

I agree with the earlier poster who said that the scheme will need to grow with your family. A lot of toys for example are classed as Toys and Games and not Baby. I also had a problem in that the £25 discount was not applied for me on a baby swing which is clearly a baby product, but actually the problem was that it was not fulfilled by Amazon. I don't have a problem with that but there is no search function on the website to enable you to only search for items that are fulfilled Amazon, so there is quite a bit of faffing around trying to look for things. That is a bit misleading.

I didnt use any of the exclusive offers - I think it was the Nappy bin? Not interested in that I'm afraid, I had a nappy bin with DD1 and was not smart enough to be able to use it and all our nappies went straight into the outside bin!

I liked the shoes offer in principle, but I need to get my DD feet measured so am not confident I will buy the right size online. If they would send out a free foot measurer or something that would help me decide to buy online.

I have yet to order since signing up for the free trial, but am unimpressed so far with the website layout. It is virtually impossible to find the amazon family homepage without searching for it (why can't there be a link somewhere on your homepage if you've signed up?), and the actual family page, once located, is crap. Not easy to navigate, and not clear what the offers are.

oh, and nappies are so much cheaper in supermarkets, no way I'd buy them or wipes on amazon.

Totally agree Kveta, trying to find the Family page is a right faff, and also the exclusive offers page too. I would have thought that there would be a link to the main Family page would be on your personalised homepage. I have them book marked now to save time.

I'm not doing this trial as I'm already a member of Prime, but I had a bit of a hoo hah getting my £25 off my first order over £50 and it was an Amazon fulfilled product. Their excellent customer service has sorted it out, but the t&cs for some of the Family offers etc are NOT clear. I get the impression that Amazon have launched this without fully thinking ahead, but hopefully they will take in some if the comments made and make improvements.

Also agree that nappies and wipes can usually be bought cheaper in the supermarket. But for everything else, Amazon is always my first port of call and not many places can beat them to be honest. Coupled with fast delivery and a vast choice, it's a bit of a no brainer for me. And I get nectar points too

I really like amazon family as it comes with next day delivery which was very useful. We lived in the states for 3 years before moving back to UK and we used to use amazon mom all the time which is pretty much the same and we loved it hence why we were in such a good habit of buying baby things on amazon already! I ordered some nappies like usual and ticked subscribe and save option and I was dissappointed that I couldn't combine this with the amazon family. It would have been great to get my nappies the following day, obviously I couldn't combine the two so this might be something you want to change? However they did come quickly anyway.

Overall a good service but being honest not as good as amazon mom that the USA amazon offers, however I will be using it lots!

Liked: Good offers available.
Disliked: That any of the discounts are only suitable for Amazon.co.uk products , not any of your other baby equipment. I required a radiator cover which you don't stock and is only sold on your website by Active tots. I don't mind this not being part of the Prime delivery service but I feel this should be included in the 'Spend over 50 and get Amazon Family discount' promotion that you offer. As more of the items outside of your baby groceries are often stocked by outside suppliers.
I also dislike that despite me being a member of Amazon Family, my entire shopping experience was covered in 'Join Amazon Family' adverts, I feel these should disappear once membership is made as it is a little confusing as to whether I had completed signing up to the trial (especially when my discount was working!)

I'm not impressed with amazon family at all really. It would be useful for new mums but then i'd call it amazon- starting a family! I loved loved lived having amazon prime and will absolutely carry on with that but the family offers werent very varied across a family age group. As others have said, its no good if you have all your baby equipment. I nearly bought a hippychick seat but the offer wasnt compelling enough. Nappies, wipes etc are cheaper in homebargains or supermarket.

Yes i found a fiver off kids books which i used but it wasnt listed on the offers it was in an email alert. I would have bought a hippychick seat but it didnt feel like a good enough deal. The other deals were pretty poor really.clothing was all high end designer stuff that even on a deal wasnt great value. There was so many deals on baby equipment but not much across the ages really. I bought my dd a lot of toys through the baby store link but i think they have have classed as toys/games as i couldnt see that i'd got money off. All in all i wanted to love this as i really do buy about twice a week on amazon but it really wasnt great except the use of prime.

It seems a good idea, I like the next day delivery but I don't think it's something I would pay for - I would never get that value from it! Would be better just to get prime if I really wanted it. As others have said, can usually get nappies and things cheaper elsewhere. Similar with big purchases - it's so easy to shop around online that you can usually find a cheap deal. Would be restrictive to feel tied to one retailer to try and make the £49 outlay worthwhile.

Slightly confusing with the similarities/difference to standard Prime membership. Has encouraged me to buy additional things since arrival of baby as I am home to receive packages. Have made a number of small orders, whereas usually I'd wait until I needed a few things. Allowed me to buy things when I see them at a good price. Need clearer info that £10 credit can only be used towards things sold by Amazon (not third party or Fulfilled by Amazon). Look forward to receiving the offers email.

Used discount to buy a highchair at an excellent price - would not have purchased otherwise. Not so interested in '%-off' products such as clothes (prefer to buy from known high st shops) and nappies/food (prefer to buy in weekly supermarket shop for points).

Not sure i would have made use of offers/joinin discount if it wasn't launched at the same time baby arrived!

I am finding Amazon Prime useful for the next day delivery, and have used it to buy birthday presents, which has been handy as I've known they will turn up on time. However I wouldn't pay the £49/year for it.

The offers were almost all baby-orientated. Mine are 4 and 2 and I didn't spot anything of interest for them. Bit disappointed by the range on offer.

I have found 3 of my orders recently have been delivered late, my latest one is marked as dispatched this afternoon despite it saying it would be delivered today. I was considering ordering something I need for Friday morning but a late delivery would be useless. Amazon are usually reliable I am disappointed and don't feel I want to buy for a maybe service

I like that you can get next day prime delivery! Normally around £6.

I used the 25% of clothing and various other normal offers shown (discounted books) on the Amazon Family page. It was really simple to use. Although i was sceptical at the original cost I think I would continue with my subscription
