Hoover are looking for 5 Mumsnetters to put the new Globe Hoover to the test.

This is what Hoover says about the product: "Globe is Hoover's new manoeuvrable range of vacuum cleaners containing patented twist and steer technology allowing you to easily glide around furniture. The compact and lightweight design combines with a self aligning locking mechanism and directional control meaning that Globe is not only easy to manoeuvre but it also effortlessly negotiates obstacles and corners."

In order to really test what the Globe can do, Hoover will be setting challenges for testers to undertake during the trial and then asking them to add their feedback to a thread on MN and, if possible, send in pictures and/or video footage. The challenges include vacuuming around obstacles in the home, hard to reach places and stairs, cleaning up after pets etc. Please note that if you supply any video or photo footage, it may appear on MN, YouTube and/or Facebook.

This product test is open to all UK Mumsnetters with at least one child. If you wish to take part in this trial please sign up here.

Everyone who takes part in the product test and leaves their feedback gets to keep the Globe Hoover after testing (RRP £229). There will also be an additional £30 Amazon voucher up for grabs for the tester who sends in the best video or photo of them doing the challenges.

Thanks and good luck!

Signed up. Heartfelt contributor to getorfmoiland's hoover rage thread. I have an actual Tesco value vacuum cleaner. 'Nuff said.

Lovely sunny days means doors and windows open and dust and grass cuttings everywhere. Dog moulting and bunny fluff flying around. Baby Grandson visiting so needing to hoover.... Damn! Haul the Miele out of the garage. Attach all the bits, scrabble around searching for the extension lead. An hour later and melting from all the Olympics I've done just to clean my house and I'm wishing I had a Hoover Globe. Whip it out, run round the house in 15 minutes. No crevice tool to have to switch to to catch all the fluff that gathers along the skirting. All done and it's Pimms O'clock. Sounds like a dream? Yes pleeeeeeeze HOOVER. Choose me.

I really, really want this. DS is allergic to dust (asthmatic, but also contact dermatitis, eczema, prickly heat in summer because he has keratosis pilaris all year round...) and we moved. A flat all on one floor, huge rooms because it's a Georgian conversion, and even a crappy hoover is fine to use every day. Tiny Victorian terrace - the kind where the stairs bisect the living room and kitchen downstairs? Oh God. A hoover that actually goes AROUND stuff sounds amazing to me. I hate, hate HATE hoovering, but since DS was a few months old and we realised the issue I seem to spend a lot of my life doing it. Something to make that easier would be brilliant.

I have a Miele Cat and Dog which I love, but it's fair to say it's had a bit of a battering and I need to start saving to buy a new vacuum. I have had two Dysons die on me (and they weren't even mine, oops), so actually I'd be tempted to go for a Miele again.

And I too have a dog that sheds every bloody where AND it's not supposed to shed that much grrrrr. Non shedding my backside.

Done. ADHD children tend to demolish hoovers just by looking at them.

No, pick me! Forgot to add on the form, we have light coloured carpets in the lounge which the black dog sheds her fur on and burgundy carpet on the stairs and landing that the white dog sheds his fur on. I can't bloody win Angry add to that a teething, crawling baby, he ends up furrier than the dogs. I neeeed a new Hoover for the health of my baby.

Please

Thank you
