tested the newborn 24 pack and sensitive wipes on dd1 who was between 3-4 weeks old when testing!

Q1 What was your overall impression of Aldi nappies? Did they fit your baby/child? How did they feel?
really good fit and soft, much better fit and fabric than a similar supermarket brand -dd1 is quite long and around 8lbs.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used? Did they do the job they were intended for? Any leaks?
much softer and smaller -better fit than others I've tried. less leaks but the contents do seem to collect in the sides sides rather than the centre - not really a problem tho as no leaks yet!

Q3 What did you think of the nappy packaging? Was it easy or difficult to open? What about the information on the packaging?
easy enough to open, no particular issues. info displayed simply and clearly, all the details i would look for on front of packaging.

Q4 How did you find the wipes to use? Did you notice any difference between the normal and sensitive skin wipes? Did you find you had to use more, less or the same amount of wipes as you usually do?
wipes weren't as 'wet' as other brands I've used but still did the job well - no smell or reaction on skin. using around 3 per change. like the plastic lid as keeps them fresh.

Q5 Is there anything about the nappies, wipes, appearance or packaging that you think could be improved? If so, what?
sell in larger packs. ie. 48. sell refillable packs for wipes to reduce packaging.

Nappies very cheap -cheapest I've found, although the larger sizes seem more in line with other brands. wipes good value.

yep have been buying the Nappies as liked there softness and fit on dd1, also cheapest. still using cotton wool most of the time when i move on to wipes probably will buy AlDi sensitive wipes as will be buying nappies from there.

yeah i think i probably would - mainly for cost, fit and comfort. also like the slightly bizarre products AlDi sell so its always worth a trip in!

I've had the size 3 Midi nappies to test on ds2 who is errrr....11 weeks old (I just had to go count on my calendar .

They fit well. I liked them, they felt fine.

They compare very well, better than some. they put me in mind of pampers. A real plus point is I find a lot of disposable nappies can feel slightly damp ont he outside when very wet (eg overnight) and these didn't at all, nor did they leak. Poowise though ds has tested to distruction , they were pretty good but we've had a couple of up the back explosions and today he covered himself, me and the sofa in poo.

Q3 What did you think of the nappy packaging? Was it easy or difficult to open? What about the information on the packaging?

Fine, packaging is packaging. It has all the info on. I like that size is in both Kg and lbs

Not bad, some wipes just move poo around, these worked well (but not as well as my usual flannels)

I like buying big boxes of nappies if I'm going to be using disposables for any length of time.

Yes they are good value

Yes I will. Actually because they are much better than the Lidl ones and cheaper than brands when we need nappies we'll probably go to Aldi instead of Lidl (bit further to drive to Aldi) for our grocery shop.

Yes I would, just because they are good. I've been impressed at how "uncheap" they feel and work.

If they do the job and suit the dc's skin then I'll be converted.

Hi, I tested the Newborn Size Nappies (Up to 11lbs) and the sensitive wipes on my little girl who was 5 weeks at the time of testing.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Aldi nappies? Did they fit your baby/child? How did they feel?

I was extremely impressed with the nappies for the price! To be honest, I have only used well-known brand named nappies on her until this trial so don't really have a comparison to other supermarket brands, but they fit her well, there was no gaping on her legs and they were a lovely fit around her tummy.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used? Did they do the job they were intended for? Any leaks?

They compared favourably with the branded nappies I normally use. There were no leaks of any kind which is always a huge plus-point, but I must be honest, I always tend to make sure the nappies are changed before this could be a problem. I don't really like seeing really heavy filled soggy nappies on little ones, so I may change nappies more frequently than needed. Overnight, I must be honest, I put my little girl in the branded ones so I don't really know how they fair overnight with regard to leakages, movement etc.

Q3 What did you think of the nappy packaging? Was it easy or difficult to open? What about the information on the packaging?

The packaging was absolutely fine - in no way did it look as if the nappies were cheap, which is often the case sometimes. It was lovely and bright and cheerful and was extremely easy to open. All the info you could need was displayed in easy to read format.

Q4 How did you find the wipes to use? Did you notice any difference between the normal and sensitive skin wipes? Did you find you had to use more, less or the same amount of wipes as you usually do?

I always use sensitive skin wipes on my little girl - anything to help protect her sensitive and delicate skin and avoid irritating it and potentially causing nappy-rash. I did find they were a little 'drier' than my usual brand of wipes and I did have to use a couple more than I would normally use, but saying that, for the price, they did the job well, removing any 'residue' from her skin and cleaning her nicely. I did like the little plastic 'lid' as this was great for helping to keep the wipes moist. They also didn't irritate her skin, which is a huge plus point.

Q5 Is there anything about the nappies, wipes, appearance or packaging that you think could be improved? If so, what?

The appearance and packaging was absolutely fine, especially for the price. Maybe useful would be a larger pack size for nappies, as 24 nappies in a pack really doesn't last long when you have a newborn in the house! The wipes would benefit from a 'plastic refill storage box' where you could put the new packs of wipes in so they are kept safely in a plastic storage box which would help keep them moist and stop them drying out.

Q6 We've included some info on how much Aldi nappies cost below - do you think that they're good value for money or not? Why? And how about the wipes - do you think they're good value or not?

The nappies are excellent value for money - they were very functional and if you are looking for a basic disposable nappy with a no-frills price, they fit the bill perfectly. With regards to the wipes, I am not sure that I feel they are such great value for money as I had to use more than I would normally with the brand I normally use, and as a result would then end up having to purchase more than I do now.

Q7 Do you think you'll use the nappies again? What about the wipes? If so, why? If not, why not?

I think I would buy the nappies again as they were good value for money and did fit well and were extremely functional for the price. As for the wipes, I don't think I would use them, I think I would prefer using cotton wool and water (which I do now) interspersed with my current brand of sensitive nappy wipes.

I would definitely recommend Aldi nappies to other mum's as at the moment every family is concerned with saving money and this is a brilliant way to save a small fortune buying a household essential. I would recommend the wipes to mums of young children especially, as they are brilliant to carry around when you are out-and-about and need to clean those sticky, dirty fingers and faces!

Rhey seemed softer and seemed thicker. Liked the feel of them and was hopeful. During day was fine however didn't survive the nighttime test of 6 hours.... Leaked thru clothes on a few occasions. I was using size 2 for my 8pound 8 ounce 6 week old.

Clear packaging no specific issues easy to open (although when in a nappy pressure situation I often just rip the packaging to get at the nappies)

As with other posters the wipes weren't as 'wet' as other brands I've used but I preferred them because of this. They caused no irritation to either my dd 22 months or ds 7 weeks.

I like nappies in big boxes - the wipes packaging was excellent.

yep I wld use the wipes but not the nappies, however I don't regularly shop in aldi so wouldn't make a trip especially for them.

Girl- age 2 years 8 months and Junior nappies and sensitive wipes tested

Nappies looked good although I felt the design was 'busy' I think I prefer plainer nappies. Fitted well although probably smaller around the waist than the nappies I usually use. Nappies felt soft and did up well.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used? Did they do the job they were intended for? Any leaks?

No leaks and DD is now a super wee-er- holds it in and then when she does go, she goes! Seemed quite bulky after a few wees. No leaks. Felt narrower than other nappies but not a cad point.

Q3 What did you think of the nappy packaging? Was it easy or difficult to open? What about the information on the packaging?

Thought the package was small which is helpful for storage/transporting home. It's not super easy to open, and then once they are open they 'spreaded' quite a bit. Information on the packaging was helpful.

I am not really a wipes person- I find all brands next to useless compared to cloth wipes which I use if I am at home (made from flannels). I try to avoid using disposable wipes unless I am out and about. They are ok- I would probably buy them again and they are in my preferred packaging of having a decent resealable lid (which was quite tricky to initially open). I find I always more more disposable wipes than reusable wipes ina nappy change and that they tend to slide the poo about rather than 'lift and remove'. If you could invent a wipe with similar loops to flannels you may be able to sway me. I thought they were more fraganced than other brands of sensitive wipes.

They are good value and similar to what I pay for my current nappies. I tend to buy 2 packs of wipes a year when they are on BOGOF for holidays.

I would use the nappies again, if I happened to be shopping in Aldi and needed some. I shop in Alldi roughly once a month. I am not sure I would make a special trip over. I doubt I would buy the wipes again but as wipes go they would probably suit many others.

I would recommend them but they would not be my best nappy to recommend. Different nappies suit different babies so I would definately sugegst that people gave them a go. I probably would not recommend the wipes.

I tried the midi nappies and sensitive wipes on both my 7 week old and my 2 year old.

The nappies fit them both, though they fit my 7 week old better as he has chunky little legs and my 2 year old is quite skinny.

No leaks on the baby but leaked every time on my 2 year old, which was disappointing. Not sure if it was due to the poor fit on the legs or just not absorbent enough.

Nappy packaging is fine. Easy to open and the information is adequate.

I tried the wipes but found the smell overpowering. So much so that it gave me a headache and I didn't use them again.

The nappies are good value for money compared to most other disposables, but I prefer washables as they are better value in the long term and more environmentally friendly.

I will finish off the pack of nappies but I wouldn't use them again. I usually use washables but I do buy disposables for trips away and some days out. I think I will stick to the Lidl nappies though as they are a much better fit and I have not had any leaks with them. I would not use the wipes again.

Probably not due to the issues mentioned above. If I were to recommend disposable nappies then I would go with the Lidl ones.

My hubby and i have agreed to start buying the comfy up pants and the sensitive wipes, very good value for money. The packaging was a surprise to both of us as we expected them to look cheap but they looked brilliant. Love the wipes and it is at a great price. Nappies look similar to the ones we use and the wipes r not too wet which is what I prefer. The only problem I had was when u take the comfy up pants off, it would have been good to have a little tape or flap to stick it together for easy disposal. That said Im still going buy it. Thanks aldi for saving us some money

Size 4/4+ (Maxi) nappies and normal wipes on my just turned 1 year old (9kg).

Q1 impressions nappies: packet looked good, very impressed when I opened them, soft, flexible, and no "branded" cartoon pictures. Wipes: prefer flexible lids, as squash smaller for out and about. Opened them (with difficulty), and haven't used them on either child - they are very strongly perfumed. They will be cleaning wipes / floor cleaning potty training accident wipes.

Q2 comparison great, can't fault the nappies. Won't be buying the wipes.

Q3 packaging Standard packaging, looks fine, doesn't really stand out from the other packets we have in the house. Plenty of info. Slightly surprised that the 4/4+ were combined. Think we'd outgrow them before the top of the weight. Couldn't see a perforation to rip along to open, so used my preferred method of a finger nail between the two "blocks" of nappies to get 2 smaller packets to then pull them out one by one.

Q4 wipes Excessively perfumed. Didn't try to clean a bottom with them. They did the wall behind the cat food Ok tho, but my hands still smell strongly even after washing with soap.

Q5 improvements? Less pictures on the actual nappies. Fraction of the scent in the wipes.

Q6 cost Nappies are £1.25 per packet cheaper than our current ones (about 2p/nappy). Pretty competitive with other own brands ones. If we hadn't just tried down branding everything and discovered own brand nappies, I'd have been even more impressed. I aim for £1 per pack of wipes (60 in a pack, i think). This is pretty good offer, so wipes competitively priced, but I wouldn't buy them.

Q7 use again? If I was near an Aldi for some reason (I don't generally go past one) I would stock up on nappies, but the small price differential wouldn't make me go just to Aldi. Wouldn't touch the wipes again, and probably not even if they were marked as low scent formulation.

Q8 recommend? Yes, I would definitely suggest someone who used Aldi, or was considering it, to try the nappies. Wipes would depend on what someone was like. Wipes - no, wouldn't recommend.

I tested the size 3 nappies on my 16lb DD(8mo) and the Sensitive wipes on both her and 2yo DS.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Aldi nappies? Did they fit your baby/child? How did they feel?
They felt quite soft, not at all cheap looking. The only thing, and I don't know if anyone else noticed it, was that they had quite a strong chemical scent to them. It really whiffed and that's the only way I can think to describe it. I also wasn't especially keen on the cartoon animals printed all over them, I prefer plain nappies with any pattern kept to the waistband.

We didn't have any leaks and they seem comparable to the size 3 Huggies in terms of durability and size, the waist actually looks slightly bigger than Huggies.

I had to stop using them after three days though. On day two DD had a mildly red bottom first thing in the morning and that her skin was clammy. By day three the mild redness was full on livid nappy rash. She has got sensitive skin and we had the same issue with Pampers Simply Dry (apparently something to do with the gel crystals in them?) but it was still annoying as I was finding the nappies to be quite good up until then. Now she's back in Huggies with a load of Metanium slapped on and I have half a pack left.

I didn't particularly notice the packaging, it seemed easy enough to open. I liked that it was a plastic sleeve because I don't like boxed nappies, too bulky to store. These were slimline and fit nicely behind the sofa.

We had the sensitive wipes which had barely any scent at all, we've used the dark green ones before and they reek so I was pleased the sensitive ones didn't.

They were really good and I was really impressed! Like I mentioned above, DD has sensitive skin, but these didn't cause her skin to flare up which I was pleased about. I used roughly the same as I normally would and I liked that they were reasonably dry compared to other wipes which can sometimes be almost dripping.

I really liked that only one wipe at a time comes out rather than a long ribbon but why the hard plastic lid!? I couldn't open it one-handed and the first time I tried I couldn't even open it two-handed, DH had to open them for me (after that I had a fiddle about with it and broke the catch to make them easier to open).

During the test they cleaned up poop, snot, Gloop, mud and bird poo after one had the cheek to drop a load on the hood of the pushchair.

Get rid of the hard plastic lid on the wipes, they should be able to be opened with one hand and I think a resealable plastic sticker would work just as well.

Less 'cute' cartoons printed on the nappies, they were too fussy and I know it's a silly little thing but characters (even non-branded ones) tend to put me off. If you must have cartoon animals then limit them to the waistband.

The prices are comparable to other own brand nappies so they're of equal value to other products out there.

I won't use the nappies again because they brought DD out in an awful nappy rash but I'd use the wipes again as they were really good but I'll be breaking the plastic catch on them.

I'd probably mention that they're worth a try but I wouldn't be pushing them as brilliant because what works for one baby doesn't work for another. I'd recommend the wipes though.

I used the newborn size 1 on dd3 and sensitive wipes, I decided to do this trial as I have always purchased the top branded nappies and wipes for my children up until the age of about 9 months as was sceptical about whether the cheaper brands would be good enough not to leak or irritate the such sensitive newborn skin!

Q1 What was your overall impression of Aldi nappies? Did they fit your baby/child? How did they feel?

I was very impressed at the softness and the thickness of the nappies. They fitted well and appeared to be comfortable. The wipes were of good thickness also.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used? Did they do the job they were intended for? Any leaks?

When comparing these to my usual choice of branded nappies I would genuinely say they do look a better quality, and no leaks at all during my trial.

The nappy packaging had the necessary information required and was easy to open, the packaging on the wipes was good as it's hard plastic opening was better at keeping the wipes moist, although didn't always close properly.

I used the sensitive wipes which were fragrance free, they were nice and thick which was a pleasant surprise, I didn't have any reason to use more which was good, therefore would use them again.

I don't feel that the nappy packaging needs improving, although the wipes packaging could be more colourful and the plastic clip opening could be improved as did not always close properly.

I think the price is great, and much better nappies to other supermarket own brands, I would agree it is good value for money and I also feel the wipes are well priced.

I would definitely use the nappies again, unfortunately I don't live near an Aldi so would need to make a special trip, I would also use the sensitive wipes again if I was going into the store for other items.

I would recommend the nappies to other parents as I was such a sceptic about their quality I was plesently surprised they were so good, I wouldnt necessarily recommend the wipes as you can get wipes of an equally good standard in most supermarkets, for a similar price.

I was trying newborn (2) on my 6 week old DS and the sensitive wipes.

Q1 Overall impression of Aldi nappies? They felt less stretchy around the middle than other brands which I was initially sceptical about but they fitted just fine. They feel quite papery but again fitted well.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used? They compared well with other brands, about the same I would say. DS was going through a bit of an explosive stage and the nappies coped well, although there was the odd one which leaked up the back (this also happened with the other brand I was using). Overall they did the job.

Q3 Nappy packaging? Perhaps I am a bit dim or ham-fisted but I do like the nappy packaging that has slight perforations to help you open it. I did have to rip into the packet with some effort! I have to say that once I know I have the right size nappy, I don't tend to pay much attention to the packaging.

Q4 How did you find the wipes to use? The wipes felt quite rough but cleaned well and I used 3-5 per clean, so about the same as other wipes. They did smell a bit chemically though.

Q5 Is there anything about the nappies, wipes, appearance or packaging that you think could be improved? I would make the nappy packaging easier to open and I don't feel the plastic clip on the wipes is necessary - it was also quite difficult to close.

I was trying out the size 5 nappies for my dd aged 2

They were great! I'm really impressed. They fit nicely and we've had no leaks. My dd likes them too, they are comfy and don't make her legs sore. She liked the lion and other little animals.

They compare very well to other brands. I usually buy pampers baby dry and they are just as good as these. I have tried boots, tesco & sainsburys own brand and I would say they are better than these too - although sainsbos ones are very good.

Much better than buggies - they are awful!

Packaging was fine, nice pictures, easy to open, handy handle!

I really liked the wipes. They were gentle on dd's skins and smelt nice. They were easy to get out the packet with one hand - very important !!!

I wasn't too keen on the plastic flap, I prefer just a sticky label but I suppose it did keep the wipes moist.

Maybe lose the plastic lid on the wipes but apart from that I can't think of any improvements.

All very good value. I usually buy in bulk when nappies and wipes are on special offer but I will be buying these again. Really pleased!

Yes I will definitely be buying them again , am planning a trip to Aldo today! I just hope they are in stock as sometimes they run out of size 5 nappies!

I have already recommended them both to friends I was so impressed! I have taken a pack of nappies into nursery too to show how good they are!

I tested the maxi/maxi + nappies and sensitive wipes on DD2 who turned 2 during the period that I was testing them.

Q1 What was your overall impression of Aldi nappies? Did they fit your baby/child? How did they feel?

I liked them - the feel was very like Nature Babycare so for some reason I decided in my head that they were obviously v v environmentally friendly... They fit fine and felt nice and snug.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used? Did they do the job they were intended for? Any leaks?

We normally use reusables at home but disposables at nursery / when we're away but she wore these all week without any problems. There were no leaks and no signs of discomfort on her part.

Q3 What did you think of the nappy packaging? Was it easy or difficult to open? What about the information on the packaging?

Very similar to other brands so perfectly fine. Didn't even read the information on the packaging tbh.

Q4 How did you find the wipes to use? Did you notice any difference between the normal and sensitive skin wipes? Did you find you had to use more, less or the same amount of wipes as you usually do?

The wipes themselves were fine - again, no obvious signs of discomfort from DD2 when using them so good for sensitive skin, and no particular perfume either which I liked. However the packet itself was rather annoying as it is difficult to open one-handed as others have said and they didn't come out that easily.

Q5 Is there anything about the nappies, wipes, appearance or packaging that you think could be improved? If so, what?

The wipes would probably be better just with the peel-off window (like many other well known brands) rather than the plastic lid which was just annoying. The nappies were great as they are.

Nappies - definitely good value compared to the big brands. The wipes are ok but as I tend to bulk-buy my wipes when they're on offer they don't feel such a good bargain to me as the nappies.

The nappies I probably will - I don't actually know where my nearest Aldi is, so would have to find it but it would probably be worth going there to stock up on enough nappies to see us through until potty training (which hopefully won't be too far away!) as we don't get through so many what with using reusables at home. The wipes I wouldn't bother as the opening annoyed me too much - I have one of those dispensers at home that I got free in an early Bounty pack so always buy wipes with the peel-off window so that they can go in there as that is much easier one-handed. I'll probably stick to Sainsbury's sensitive wipes.

Q8 If it came up in conversation, do you think you'd recommend Aldi nappies to other parents of children or babies in nappies? If so, why? If not, why not? And would you recommend the wipes?

Would definitely recommend the nappies as they certainly seem to perform as well as more expensive ones but the cost savings over a couple of years could be quite major. I might mention the wipes if someone asked but I wouldn't make a point of recommending them.

I was given the size 4 nappies, my son has just turned one and weighs a whopping 11.7kg(26lb ish) so i was a little concerned about the fit BUT I have to say that they are lovely. Other brands i am having to purchase size 5 due to fit around belly but aldi nappies fit great and dont leave marks around his legs like some other brands have.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used? Did they do the job they were intended for? Any leaks?

Definately did the job! I tried aldi nappies a few years ago and found them plasticky and useless so am very impressed as they have definately improved. DS doesnt leak at all like he does with tesco own brand (not value) and the aldi nappy was able to hold everything DS threw at it!

Information clear, packaging difficult to get into, ended up ripping a hole in it but i decant nappies into a box anyway

I found the wipes really good, very thick and not soaking wet. I got the sensitive wipes which didnt really have a smell which was fine. I found i used less as they were very thick and durable and didnt rip or roll up when testing

I cant think of anything. I dont buy things because of the packaging i buy because of the price or recommendation

Nappies, excellent value and so are the wipes. my only issue is the distance i have to travel to an aldi store and if that would still work out cheaper for me.

No leaks so far, except for one crazy poop that quite frankly would not have been stemmed by a whole pack worn at once. In comparison to other nappies, they performed as well as the big brands, and a lot better than Huggies and Naturcare ones, which I have used lots in the past.

Q3 What did you think of the nappy packaging? Was it easy or difficult to open? What about the information on the packaging? It was average, not paticularly eye-grabbing, okay to open, information on the packaging was pretty standard.

I only had the sensitive skin ones. They were great, did the job and were strong. I would definitely use them again.

Very pleasantly surprised by the nappies. They fitted well and looked comfortable for baby. They felt nice and soft inside. I liked the double tabs front and back which helped with the fit.

Just as good as huggies/pampers. If anything they fitted better. They kept baby dry and only leaked if very full.

Nappy packaging was easy to open and have clear information on sizing etc.

Wipe packet was quite difficult to open and re-seal. Wipes were strong and durable although they seemed drier than other brands.

Make the wipes slightly more moist and easier to open and seal.

Would definitely use the nappies again. They are affordable, fitted well and were comfy. Wouldn't choose the wipes due to dryness and awkward lid.

Would recommend the nappies. They are as good as leading brands and more affordable.

Great to have the opportunity to try the Size 4/4+ (Maxi) nappies and normal wipes on my 2 year old DS

Q1 impressions nappies: really liked the nappies, found them soft. DS liked the design on the nappy itself.

Wipes: I found the plastic lid a pain. I did like the texture of the wipes and felt that I used less than usual as a result (ie on a poo!)

Q2 I think they compare really well - the nappies have been just as good as our usual Huggies. I don't mind the wipes but the plastic lid would probably get on my nerves!

Q3 packaging was fine, fairly standard really. They didn't stand out from other nappy packs. I was also surprised that 4/4+ were combined as we usually use 4+ Huggies on DS which are plenty big enough but with these nappies, they came up quite small so we only used about 10 nappies, just enough to get a feel for them and be able to product test properly.

Q4 wipes: I quite like them. Found they really worked well on a pooey bottom - only used 2 wipes rather than the usual 3 so the texture of them was good but felt that they are a bit on the thick side.

Q5 improvements? Lose the plastic lid on the wipes. It seems like a good idea (if asked before this test, I probably would have suggested it) but in practice, it made the job harder! Didn't even attempt to open it with one hand.

Q6 cost: Feel that the nappies are good value. I really liked the wipes (apart from the plastic lid!) so would recommend them - I'm another one who normally bulk buys when nappies and wipes are on offer but I wouldn't hesitate in buying these too.

Q7 use again? If I was near an Aldi then I would go and get some but as the price difference isn't huge, then I wouldn't make a special trip, especially as I don't have an Aldi close by.

Q8 recommend? I would definitely recommend trying the nappies and wipes, especially to someone who has an Aldi nearby.

I am testing the pull ups on my 3.6yo who is dry through the day but still very much wet at night

overall impression was that they looked very much like the tesco and asda pull ups I normally use (in terms of bulk etc) They fit him well. In fact, as he gets them on after his bath I actually felt they pulled up much easier than the others do over his damp just-out-of-the-bath skin. This was a Big Thing for me as he hates having pull ups put on normally (he always asks not to have pull ups on but I can't let him ) but since using these he hasn't grumbled.

Q2 How did they compare with other nappies you've used? Did they do the job they were intended for? Any leaks?

Like I say, he is still very wet at night. I regularly found his pyjamas wet when using other pull ups, particularly asda, thinking about it. But he hasn't woken up with wet pjs once with these so yes I think the absorbency is excellent.

Packaging fine, opened easily. I don't pay any attention to packagin ither than the sizing information.

Hmm, now as much as I like the pull ups I was not bowled over by the wipes I have to say. I don't use wipes on my 3.6yo so am using them at nappy changes for my younger son, coming up 2yo. I only got the normal type so can't compare them with the sensitive I can however compare them with huggies which I normally use. I prefer the thickness of huggies pure and the fact that they're wetter. I feel those two factors give a better 'clean' between nappy changes than the aldi wipes.

-Pull ups, no I really like them! Wipes need to be more moist and possibly thicker. The wipes reminded me a lot of pampers wipes actually, but I'm not fussed on those either. Packaging of both is fine. I guess the flip top lid on the wipes is more expensive than a simple pull back sticker type opening and my only feedback on that is that I didn't find it necessary/more convenient. I'd stick to the cheaper, more basic opening like huggies nad pampers do.

-I think they're excellent value for money. Compare favourably with other supermarket own brands but perform a better job in my opinion than the ones I've tried so far. The wipes are also priced well but I wouldn't buy them for the reasons outlined above.

Definitely. In fact I have bought some nappies for my younger son since them and find them great too. Although I find the sizing quite big, the 5s seem massive so would buy the 4/4+ next time. Wipes, no - not moist enough.

Absolutely (pull ups/nappies). In fact I already have, to the assistant manager at my children's nursery. I wouldn't recommend the wipes though. Not because I think they're rubbish, just because I think the Huggies Pure are better.

I was really impressed. They did the job with no leaks. They were a nice roomy fit and the pictures made the back and front immediately obvious (I don't find this with some brands).

I use pampers or huggies usually, whatever's on offer. I've tried a few other brands, including the cheapy pampers ones, and tesco. They were thin and leaky. I'm a convert to these ones as they're way cheaper than the ones I usually get and they're just as good.

I have to admit that I resorted to ripping the packaging open at the wrong end, all the while harrumphing about cheapy nappies because I'm used to the way that pampers and huggies open and I didn't spot the place that you're meant to open these ones. I did forgive Aldi nappies once we'd used them for a week with no leaks and I found the nappies themselves to be good quality.

I wasn't a fan of the wipes: I found them a bit dry. I ended up squeezing baby lotion onto them when I was dealing with a particularly sticky nappy.

I think the nappies are tremendous value. When I was getting pampers or huggies (note the past tense) I used to resent the fact that I was paying for disney characters and fisher price little folk to be featured on the nappies. I just wanted nappies that worked but didn't want to be paying a fortune for the huge advertising machine or the royalties to disney etc. I love the pictures on the Aldi nappies and love the fact I'm not paying for stuff I don't want. I don't think I'll get the wipes again as I didn't find them as effective as my normal wipes (pampers sensitive).

I will buy only Aldi nappies from now until potty training, I'm that impressed. I don't usually shop at Aldi but will be diverting there regularly now. Not the wipes though.

I will be recommending the nappies to a couple of my colleagues about to go on maternity leave. I'd not hesitate to recommend them if it came up in conversation. I'd tell them to leave off the wipes though, as I didn't find them very effective.

My DS is 19mo and we tried the Comfy Up Pants and the wipes.

Overall impression - I was very impressed, they fit my son well and felt easily as nice as the 'top brands'.
We haven't had any leaks; they've performed just as well as my preferred brand (Boots own).
Packaging was easy to open, well-labelled as Size 5 Pull ups, no issues there.
Wipes are great! We were sent the Aloe-scented ones, they smell lovely. No issues with my son's sensitive skin which is good, and they've also performed well as general muck-removers on faces/hands/furniture I like that you get 80 in a pack, rather than some brands' rather stingy 56/64. Also like the plastic lid that stops them drying out/leaking all over my changing bag.
The only improvement I can think of would be for the pants to have a little sticky strip on the back, to seal the rolled-up nappy once it's ready for the bin. I prefer to use brands that have this, personally.
Excellent value, I would happily pay that. Less than I pay now.
The only reason I wouldn't use them again is that I'm not near an Aldi! Would def recommend to others though, without a doubt.
