The folks at Xbox have asked us to find 8 Mumsnetters to try out the Xbox 360 console, Kinect bundle, Kinect Disneyland Adventures and Pixar Rush games with their families and then give their feedback on Mumsnet.

This is open to all UK MNers who:

  • Have at least one child aged 4-11 years
  • Will be available during the Easter holidays to take part in testing (w/c 2 Apr and/or w/c 9 Apr)
  • Don't currently own an Xbox
  • Are willing to video and take photos of themselves and their families playing the games

If you're selected to take part, you'll be sent an Xbox 360 console, a Kinect bundle, and the Kinect Disneyland Adventures & Pixar Rush games.

You'll also be sent a video camera so you can film and take photos of you and your family playing the games. Your footage will then feature in a video which will appear on the Xbox Kinect Facebook page, the Xbox pages on Mumsnet and possibly elsewhere. You will get to keep the video camera after the testing.

All testers will be asked to add at least two lots of written feedback to a thread on Mumsnet per week during the two-week testing period (w/c 2nd Apr and w/c 9th Apr). Everyone who does so will be entered into a prize draw to win the following Xbox games and extras: Kinect Adventures, Kinectimals, Kinect Joyride, Star Wars, Dance Central game, Lips I Love the 80'S (1 mike bundle), Xbox Live 2100 points, and 12 month Xbox LIVE Gold membership (RRP £378).

If you're interested in taking part please sign up here.

We'll be in touch with chosen testers by Fri 30th Mar.

Thanks and good luck!

Good luck everyone.

My dts love their x-box but word of warning regarding the kinnect - close your blinds unless you want your neighbours to think you a loon!

lisad123 · 28/03/2012 18:31

Blatherskite · 28/03/2012 19:01

Signed up. DS would be so excited if we got chosen

Moodykat · 28/03/2012 19:03

Oh. DS is only 3 but has already been going on about this! I think he'd love it! Please can we apply too?!

TheScottishPlayer · 28/03/2012 19:29

We'd love to do this but DS is nearly-but-not-quite 4. Sad

He's very photogenic and adept at using technology though...

feedthegoat · 28/03/2012 19:33

The family FTG has signed up too...ds would be beside himself if we spent the easter hols encouraging him to play on an Xbox!

And to be honest I'd also be excited to get a video camera, ds has lost loads of teeth lately...I'd love the chance to capture this gappy stage. I'm going to give him a complex soon as I keep trying to make him smile for me!

I was actually quite surprised that DH was so up for it. I thought the idea of being photographed/video-ed would put him off but I think the excitement of potentially getting an Xbox changed his mind - he was taking the kids off to do bathtime so I could fill in the form in peace! :)

StateofConfusion · 28/03/2012 19:53

Have entered we'd all love this, dcs went mad at the disney adventures add, but we don't have an xbox.

StateofConfusion · 28/03/2012 19:54

Totally agree FTG Grin

MumGoneCrazy · 28/03/2012 20:07

Oooh just done this my 4 kids would love it as they love Disney Grin

Primrose123 · 28/03/2012 20:07

Thank you, the other Helen!

HugADalek · 28/03/2012 20:13

Eeek, this is the second chance this week to put our names forwards for something the kids would absolutely love. Got just about everything crossed I can, and called all my friends and they've crossed theirs too. Grin

Doobydoo · 28/03/2012 20:55

Done Smile

amimagic · 28/03/2012 21:01

Yes, we've been gutted we've no xbox, on seeing the Disney game adverts. We are gaming and Disneyworld fans in this house so t'would be perfect!

hermionestranger · 28/03/2012 21:06

Done! Dh and DS1 would LOVE this. I remain to be convinced about it Envy so we'd give very balanced feedback.

Jackstini · 28/03/2012 21:31

Done - DH and kids would love, and it's dds bday on 30th March too!
I am not sure on consoles - nervous of using them (as I don't know how!) and worried kids will sit on bums too much. However, now so much is being made of them helping keep you fit I would sneakily love to try one now...

cather · 28/03/2012 21:52

What perfect timing for the school holidays! They certainly wouldn't be bored if we were lucky enough to be selected. Finger crossed!!
