We've been asked by Hasbro, the makers of My Little Pony toys, to find 100 MNers with a child aged 3-6 to put a selection of toys from the range to the test.

You can read more about the range on the MN pages here and the team say "the My Little Pony brand is eager to take children on magical journeys of friendship and fun! Children will adore discovering the whimsical world of pony friends, from watching adventures in the "My Little Pony Friendship is Magic" animated TV series, to making imaginative stories of their very own with delightful My Little Pony figures, playsets, and vehicles. The fantastical story of a magical circle of Pony friends has transcended time and offers relatable experiences to generations of children"

We are particularly looking for testers for the following toys:

Friendship Express Train set - "Children will love this cute motorised playset to take all of their pony friends to their favourite Ponyville locations. Train set comes with an engine, caboose, Pinkie Pie pony and 6 train track pieces" SRP: £23.00. We have 50 sets up for grabs.

My Little Pony Princess Celestia is "the most beautiful, magical unicorn a child has ever seen! Princess Celestia has pretty light-up wings that move and she 'really' talks! Pony figure comes with a crown, necklace, 4 barrettes, and comb" SRP: £20.00 - we have 20 Princesses waiting for a friend.

Vehicle Assorted "These sweet My Little Pony vehicles allow children to transport their ponies around Equestria. Each "vehicle" will come with one pony, a train cart and accessories. Children can play with this vehicle on its own or can attach it to the train set - allowing more ponies to join her friends on the magical journey" SRP: £13 - and we have 20 available.

and finally we have 10 Fashion Ponies who need to be tested "These stylish ponies come with everything you needs to dress her up and make her look as fabulous as can be. Pack comes with brush, saddle, 4 shoes, 5 hair barrettes, necklace and bracelet!" SRP: £12.99 see here for more info

If you and your child are selected to take part you will be sent the toy and you will need to get your child to play with it for a week or so - then we'd want you to add their feedback to a thread on MN. You'd also be asked to add a review to the MN toy review section.

All reviewers who add feedback will be entered into a prize draw where one lucky winner will receive a £100 voucher for Argos.

If you'd like to take part please add your details here

Thanks and good luck, MNHQ

I haven't recieved ours yet but I'm sure they said they were being sent standard delivery and to expect them at some point later this week :)

hotmamalovespavlova · 18/04/2012 07:47

Phew was checking in as no ponies in my stable as yet :-)

whimsy · 19/04/2012 08:14

The my pony has arrived. It looks great, thank you :o

NurseJennyLee · 19/04/2012 11:33

My daughter is going to burst when she gets in from school, Princess Celestia has just been delivered, I am so excited as I haven't told her about it. Thank you so much. Grin

Whatevertheweather · 19/04/2012 13:43

Oooh Princess Celestia arrived here too - DD will be so thrilled when she gets home from school I think it's a little scary looking

NurseJennyLee · 19/04/2012 13:54

They're certainly not as wholesome looking as when I were a lass. Bit tarty looking, if a horse can be described as that. Grin

Sarayu · 19/04/2012 14:01

We are in possession of a 'pinkie pie'. DD (3) has ripped open the packet and investigating.

FateLovesTheFearless · 19/04/2012 17:39

Train set here! Left my two dd happily playing with it and my was having a fit because he wants it! Smile

Tw1nkle · 19/04/2012 18:47

Train Set arrived here too!

ditavonteesed · 19/04/2012 18:48

princess celestia here today, girls loving it although fighting like mad over it.

vnmum · 19/04/2012 19:41

Train set arrived here today. DD knew a surprise was coming in the post at sometime so when she opened it she was so excited and said "just what I wanted!". She had seen it on TV and in smyths, so she told me. She has been happily playing with it all evening and asked if she could play with it in the morning. From an adults POV, it doesn't actually do much, but DD had all her other my little ponies out and her barbie dogs went for a ride too Smile. She did say it would be better with more ponies and we should take her to smyths to get some, the cheeky madam Grin

Whatevertheweather · 19/04/2012 19:46

Princess Celestia is very thin and long legged. Am sure MLP where delightfully squat, chubby and wholesome back in the day.

AvocadoAndFitch · 19/04/2012 20:19

Our train arrived aswell. DD's are pleased although the train abandoned the track early on, little too limited. On the plus side Noah has finally got his bum off the ark and has been acting as ticket inspector today. Noah's animals have enjoyed the trip round the kitchen in the second carriage.

My pov, bit boring expected the train to make noises etc and MLP is unrecognizable from the MLP of my day.

But shall wait for the official feedback thread for my full views of the MLP

hotmamalovespavlova · 19/04/2012 20:54

Greeted by a box on my doorstep, holding off until the weekend beause will give me some peace and quiet after work on Saturday

vnmum · 20/04/2012 07:54

avocado, i agree, i also expected it to make noises or something

vincenta · 20/04/2012 13:53

WE just received little pony train set! It's lovely! After our last shop visit my son who is now 3 told me that all pink toys are for girls! To be honest I didn't know what to expect when our pony would arrive. But guess what!
when I took out pony box my son just said."WOW!!It's train!" MUMMY Open it open it !!!
Boys..
Now he is so busy.He is playing with his new toy, no matter that train truck is purple and pony and train is pink!!!and he is enjoying it!

halcyondays · 20/04/2012 20:21

We've received the train set. Both dds were very pleased with it when they saw what it was. Anything with ponies or trains usually goes down well here.

TheEpilator · 21/04/2012 14:33

Agree with Avocado - MLP looks more like a cat these days!

Should have looked at the links before requesting 'vehicles' as it is basically one of the carriages for the train (which of course we don't have) so fairly limited in terms of play potential. Never mind. DD is happy.

CuppaTeaJanice · 23/04/2012 07:24

Is there a feedback thread somewhere or do we just add it here? Smile

AnnMumsnet · 23/04/2012 11:40

Hello - glad the ponies have arrived in their new homes! We'll give your DC a chance to have a play and will start the feedback thread later this week.

I didn't know we had been chosen, I must have missed the email! DD is really excited to receive the set. DS has claimed the train and DD is practising her plaits on the pink pony. Thanks for picking us. I have had a really bad day and this brightened it up.
